  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: So-so numbers in loss

Chubb carried the ball 20 times for 65 yards and caught four of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Broncos.

While he's amassed at least 85 scrimmage yards in every game this season, Chubb had difficulty making an impact in this one -- his longest gain went for only 11 yards, and his 3.3 YPC was his worst performance of the year. The second-year RB will look to ramp things up at home next week, facing a Bills defense that just let Adrian Peterson top the century mark against it.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Finds end zone in loss

Williams carried the ball twice for 10 yards and caught all six of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-11 loss to the Chargers.

His fourth-quarter score didn't affect the outcome, but it did extend Williams' streak of games with a receiving TD to four. His six targets were also a season high, in part due to the Packers' offensive line struggling to protect Aaron Rodgers and the QB needing to get rid of the ball quickly. Williams stands a good chance of being productive again next week against a Panthers defense that has been vulnerable to RBs, both on the ground and through the air, all year.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Held in check by Chargers

Jones carried the ball eight times for 30 yards and caught one of four targets for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 26-11 loss to the Chargers.

The Packers' offense got shut out in the first half and didn't have much more success after halftime, and as a result, Jones wound up with arguably his worst performance of the season. He should find more running room in Week 10 against a Panthers defense that just surrendered two TDs, one rushing and one receiving, to Derrick Henry.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Rare receiving score

Henry carried the ball 13 times for 63 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Panthers. He also added three receptions for 36 yards and another touchdown through the air.

Henry drew his lowest number of carries for the season, but that didn't stop him from producing. He struggled to break free from the Panthers' run defense in the first half -- his longest rush went for three yards -- but he managed a bit more production on the ground after halftime with an eight-yard rushing score and another scamper for 12 yards. More notably, Henry turned in a rare contribution in the passing game, hauling in a 23-yard screen pass for another touchdown. Though Tennessee's offense is far from spectacular, Henry will continue to play a major role in any success they experience.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Nearly totals 100 yards

Ekeler carried the ball 12 times for 70 yards and caught all four of his targets for 23 yards in the 26-11 win Sunday over the Packers.

While Ekeler ultimately saw teammate Melvin Gordon register two one-yard touchdowns, it was the former who was far more explosive Sunday, ripping off an average of 5.8 yards per carry compared to Gordon's 4.0 figure. Considering the Chargers never trailed, it was a bit of an odd game script for Ekeler, but the shifty back capitalized on a molasses-like Packers' linebacking corps, routinely cutting and knifing his way for additional yards after contact. This was the first game since Gordon's return from a contract holdout that the duo has each gone over 40-plus total yards, so it should come as a genuine shock to see both combine for 202 yards. Most of the credit should go to the dreadfully bad Packers defense, but it's possible Ekeler and Gordon could have a similarly effective day next week against the Raiders.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Scores twice in monster effort

Jacobs carried 28 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Lions.

Jacobs notched a new career high in rush attempts while coming four yards shy of his personal best in that category. He scored a two-yard touchdown in the first quarter and added a three-yard score just before halftime, giving him three multi-touchdown games this season. He failed to haul in either of his two targets and continues to underwhelm as a receiver, but he's otherwise been a useful fantasy asset of late. Jacobs will look to keep it up Thursday in a Week 10 matchup against the Chargers.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Breaks free for solid outing

Gordon carried the ball 20 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns and also caught three of his four targets for 29 yards in the 26-11 win Sunday over the Packers.

Gordon finally had his breakout game, feasting on a porous Packers run defense to rip off consistent chunks of yardage throughout the contest. The 26-year-old benefited immensely from positive field position; his first touchdown was essentially set up following a blocked punt midway through the third quarter, while the second came after the Packers forced a Chargers field goal near the goal line late in the fourth,. However, an offside penalty on the latter play tempted head coach Anthony Lynn with a 4th-and-inches situation, which Gordon converted into a game-sealing touchdown. Still, Gordon looked explosive and shifty, at one point hurdling over a defender en route to his longest run of the game and his second consecutive contest with a 15-plus yard carries.

  • Bills' Devin Singletary: Stays hot in win over Washington

Singletary ran for 95 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while hauling in three of four targets for 45 receiving yards during Sunday's 24-9 win against the Redskins.

After amassing 127 rushing yards and a touchdown through Buffalo's first two games of the year, Singletary was beleaguered by a hamstring injury and deemed unavailable to play between Weeks 3 and 6. Since returning Week 7 against Miami, the rookie third-round draft choice has resumed his strong debut campaign, averaging an impressive 4.7 yards per carry over the past three weeks while adding seven receptions for 75 yards. What is most encouraging in regards to his fantasy outlook is the massive uptick in workload, as Singletary's 20 rush attempts Sunday nearly tripled his previous season high of seven carries. Upcoming next is a matchup against a Cleveland defense that entered Week 9 ranking as a bottom-10 unit with more than 110 rushing yards surrendered per game to opposing running backs.

  • Marlon Mack RB | ARI

Colts' Marlon Mack: Carries ball 21 times

Mack rushed the ball 21 times for 89 yards in Week 9 against the Steelers.

Mack was limited to just eight touches in the first half, but returned to his workhorse role after halftime. His most explosive run came in the third quarter, when he broke off a 24-yard run behind his right tackle. While he remains uninvolved in the passing game, Mack has seen at least 18 carries in six of eight games this season -- including in each of his last four. Due to his lack of receptions, Mack is reliant on finding paydirt to turn in big fantasy performances. However, he is in line for a strong matchup against Miami in Week 10, particularly if the Colts are forced to turn to Brian Hoyer as their quarterback.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Totals 73 scrimmage yards

Sanders carried 10 times for 42 yards and caught all three of his targets for an additional 31 yards during Sunday's 22-14 win over the Bears.

Sanders received double-digit carries for the first time in five games, averaging a respectable 4.2 yards per tote against a solid Chicago defense. He also hauled in exactly three of three targets for the fourth straight game, averaging 10.3 yards per catch en route to 73 scrimmage yards. Sanders continues to receive his share of touches each week, but his only two touchdowns this season have come on big plays, so he relies on efficiency to be able to post useful fantasy numbers. This should remain the case against the Patriots after the bye.
