  • Corey Clement RB | ARI

    Eagles' Corey Clement: Trending upward

Clement (shoulder) was a limited participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Clement was listed as non-participant on Monday's report, so it appears the Wisconsin product is trending in the right direction in advance of Thursday's game against Green Bay.

  • Nick Brossette RB | DET

Nick Brossette: Let go from Lions' practice squad

Brossette was released from the Lions' practice squad Tuesday.

Detroit added Brossette to the practice squad earlier this month after the LSU product had a busy preseason with New England. His release from said practice squad is not good news for his already minimal dynasty value.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Sent in for tests on ankle

Barkley (ankle) received an exam Monday from team consultant Dr. Martin O'Malley and is scheduled to visit foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay on Wednesday for an additional opinion on his injury, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.

Though the news that Barkley is being subject to additional testing is somewhat foreboding, the Giants may just be trying to determine the best treatment plan for the second-year back while he works through a right high-ankle sprain. On the heels of his MRI on Monday, Barkley was given a loose 4-to-8-week timeline to recover from the injury, but there should be more definition on a target date for his return once he meets with Dr. Anderson. Wayne Gallman will be first in line to replace Barkley as the Giants' starting running back Week 4 against Washington, but expect the team to add at least one more depth option at the position to the roster before Sunday arrives.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

C.J. Anderson: Working out for Texans

Anderson is working out for the Texans on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Anderson has been without a team since being released by Detroit on Sept. 17. The 28-year-old took 16 carries for just 42 yards (2.6 YPC) in two games with the Lions this season.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Vikings' Mike Boone: Gets first carries Sunday

Boone had three carries for 28 yards in Sunday's win over Oakland.

Boone got his first carries of the season amid a blowout win. He played just five snaps on offense. He's not going to get much action off the bench unless Dalvin Cook or Alexander Mattison is hurt. However, he could eventually emerge as the No. 3 RB over Ameer Abdullah.

  • Bears' Cordarrelle Patterson: Five touches

Patterson rushed four times for 14 yards along with having a six-yard reception in Chicago's 31-15 win over Washington on Monday.

Patterson now has nine touches on the season, and he's being used as both a runner and receiver. However, aside from one big run in Week 2, he has a very low weekly scoring floor.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Tops 80 scrimmage yards

Montgomery rushed 13 times for 67 yards and caught all three of his targets for 14 yards in Monday night's 31-15 win over the Redskins.

Montgomery was corralled fairly well prior to breaking off a 25-yard run during the fourth quarter. That carry, which marked the rookie's longest through three games, helped Montgomery post his best yardage total to date. With added value from three receptions as well, it was a decent night for Montgomery, even though the Bears passing for two touchdowns inside the three-yard line robbed him of a couple potential scoring opportunities from in close.

  • Justice Hill RB | BAL

Ravens' Justice Hill: Role continues to diminish

Hill had one carry for one yard Sunday against the Chiefs and did not catch any of his three targets.

The rookie's snap count has dropped each week since the season opener, bottoming out at just 11 on offense Sunday. Hill only had one carry and was unable to do anything with it while the likes of Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards had no problem running on the Chiefs defense, averaging 6.4 and 7.6 YPC, respectively. Edwards' strong day is particularly worrisome for Hill as it now appears that the rookie is clearly the No. 3 back in this offense. Hill and the Ravens will host the Browns in Week 4.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Tallies 25 yards from scrimmage

Edmonds totaled three carries for 15 yards and gathered in one of two passes for 10 yards during Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Panthers.

Edmonds' four touches and 25 yards from scrimmage were both season-high marks, but they paled in comparison to David Johnson's 17 and 65, respectively. Their individual shares of the offensive snaps also reinforce the running back pecking order in Arizona: 65 of 75 for Johnson versus just nine for Edmonds. There doesn't seem to be much impetus to get Edmonds more involved, despite the left wrist issue that affected Johnson in Week 2.

  • Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE

Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Just three carries Sunday

Wilkins lost two yards on three carries in Sunday's win over Atlanta.

After Wilkins had five carries for 82 yards in Week 2, he had a limited role while playing just ten snaps on offense. It doesn't look like his Week 2 performance has changed his playing time equation, as he'll get limited opportunity while starter Marlon Mack is healthy with Nyheim Hines seeing a few more snaps in a pass-catching role.
