Brandon Bolden RB | LV
Patriots' Brandon Bolden: One carry Week 1
Bolden logged just one of a possible 70 snaps on offense in Sunday's 33-3 win over the Steelers.
Bolden, who recorded a seven-yard carry on that play, did make his mark, however, by logging 16 special teams snaps, which included a pair of kick returns for 35 yards. Bolden's prowess as a special-teamer will keep him on the Patriots' game-day roster most weeks, but he remains behind Sony Michel, James White and Rex Burkhead in the team's backfield pecking order.

Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Just two snaps Sunday
Boone played just two snaps on offense in Sunday's win over Atlanta but did not have a carry or target.
Despite being a star in the preseason for the second consecutive year, Boone will be relegated to a deep reserve role. He's behind Ameer Abdullah in the battle for the No. 3 running back at this point.
-
Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Vikings' Ameer Abdullah: Gets just two carries
Abdullah had two carries for eight yards in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
Abdullah played just four snaps on offense in a game where the Vikings dominated by running the ball (172 yards rushing), so he's not going to be a big part of the running game. He does appear as the No. 3 running back since Mike Boone played just two snaps and didn't get a carry. Abdullah's biggest impact will be on special teams as a returner.
-
Nick Bawden RB | HOU
Lions' Nick Bawden: One target in season opener
Bawden was targeted once but did not record a catch during Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Cardinals.
Bawden logged a quarter of the offensive snaps and over 70 percent of available special-teams snaps, but he simply isn't in a role that will allow for consistent offensive production.

Dare Ogunbowale RB | HOU
Buccaneers' Dare Ogunbowale: Figures in as pass catcher
Ogunbowale brought in four of five targets for 33 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-17 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. He did not log a carry.
Ogunbowale was in on 27 plays from scrimmage overall and another 15 on special teams. Three of the third-year running back's four catches came in the hurry-up offense on the Buccaneers' final possession, as Ogunbowale essentially filled the exact role he was projected for behind Ronald Jones and Peyton Barber coming into the season. While he'll figure in for an occasional carry as well in coming games, his overall involvement in the offense figures to be modest as long as his aforementioned pair of teammates are healthy.
-
Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
Jeff Wilson: Rejoining roster soon
Wilson likely will be promoted from the 49ers practice squad after Tevin Coleman suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay, Eric Branch of The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
It isn't clear if the transaction will happen Monday or later in the week. Either way, Wilson will slot in behind Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert in the San Francisco backfield for a Week 2 game in Cincinnati. Coleman is expected to miss multiple games.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Held in check by Pats
Conner was held to 21 yards on 10 carries while adding 44 yards on four receptions in Sunday's 33-3 loss to the Patriots.
Conner was absolutely stymied on the ground by the Patriots' hybrid defensive fronts. If there were any positives to take away from the blowout loss, it would be that the second-year back dominated the backfield touches (received 10 of the Steelers' 12 half back carries) and remained the primary receiving back in most situations. Those were the two minor concerns regarding Conner's stock heading into the season, so expect the talented runner to dust himself off and see the bulk of the running load in a home matchup against the Seahawks next Sunday.
-
C.J. Anderson RB | LAR
Lions' C.J. Anderson: Significant role in season opener
Anderson rushed 11 times for 35 yards during Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Cardinals.
Kerryon Johnson ultimately led the team with 16 carries, but the workload was just about even between the two running backs throughout most of regulation. While it's still far too soon to tell if either of them is considered the team's primary goal-line back, Anderson is still an injury away from being a reliable fantasy contributor. At this point in time, he shouldn't be considered anything more than Johnson's handcuff in deeper formats.
-
Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Makes little impact in debut
Pollard carried the ball 13 times for 24 yards in Sunday's 35-17 win over the Giants.
The rookie wound up seeing the same number of carries as Ezekiel Elliott, but Pollard wasn't able to do much with his touches as his longest run went for only six yards. Elliott's workload will only increase moving forward, so Pollard will need to show the same kind of electricity he did in the preseason if he wants to retain any kind of significant role in the offense.
-
Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Finds end zone in Week 1 win
Elliott carried the ball 13 times for 53 yards and a touchdown and caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 35-17 win over the Giants.
There was plenty of uncertainty regarding Elliott's Week 1 workload after he held out for a new contract through all of training camp and the preseason, but while he wound up splitting carries with Tony Pollard, he did a lot more damage with his opportunities -- capping the scoring on the afternoon for Dallas with a 10-yard TD scamper late in the third quarter. Elliott should see his touches return to normal in the coming weeks as he rounds into form, but his floor in the meantime still seems plenty productive.
