Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Absent from Sunday's practice
Stevenson (undisclosed) was not present at Sunday's training camp practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
It could be a maintenance day for the veteran running back, who played 10 snaps on offense and logged seven carries for 36 yards in the Patriots' 48-18 preseason win over the Commanders on Friday. Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson both saw all their work in the first quarter, and the duo are expected to work in a committee when the regular season gets underway.

Jaleel McLaughlin RB | DEN
Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Four touches in preseason opener
McLaughlin rushed three times for five yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Saturday's 30-9 preseason win over the 49ers.
McLaughlin's three carries were the fewest of any Broncos running back in the contest. The 24-year-old was unable to make much noise in his limited role Saturday, which should hint at his usage in the Denver backfield in the 2025 campaign. McLaughlin faces stiff competition for playing time this season, with veteran J.K. Dobbins and rookie RJ Harvey viewed as the top two options in the ground game. Nonetheless, the Youngstown State product will continue to compete for a role in Denver's running back room when the Broncos host the Cardinals in their second preseason game next Saturday night.

Tyjae Spears RB | TEN
Titans' Tyjae Spears: Dealing with ankle sprain
Spears was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain that he suffered in Saturday's 29-7 preseason loss to the Buccaneers, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Spears had to be carted off the field after injuring his ankle in the first half. Per Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com, Spears is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks, which puts him in jeopardy of missing the Titans' regular-season opener against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 7. In Spears' absence, Julius Chestnut and Kalel Mullings will have the opportunity to audition for a potential RB2 role behind Tony Pollard, who may have to take on a bigger workload at the start of the regular season.

Patrick Taylor RB | SF
49ers' Patrick Taylor: Scores rushing touchdown Saturday
Taylor rushed five times for seven yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for four yards in the 49ers' 30-9 preseason loss to the Broncos on Saturday night.
Taylor handled the 49ers' first rushing play of the night and lost three yards on that carry, but he bounced back with gains of four yards apiece on a rush attempt and his one reception over two of the following three plays before eventually adding a five-yard touchdown run to cap off the opening drive. Taylor is due to see a solid amount of work this preseason due to Isaac Guerendo (shoulder) and rookie fifth-round pick Jordan James (finger) both being sidelined, and he's likely battling fellow journeyman Ameer Abdullah, who gained 20 yards on four carries but also lost a fumble Saturday, for a reserve role come the regular season.

Brashard Smith RB | KC
Chiefs' Brashard Smith: Five touches to open preseason
Smith (finger) rushed four times for 10 yards and brought in his only target for minus-6 yards in the Chiefs' 20-17 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.
The rookie seventh-round pick has an uphill battle for a roster spot, but considering his 1,332-yard season at SMU last season, there's some intriguing potential. Smith led the Chiefs in carries on a night where a total of seven non-quarterbacks logged at least one rush attempt. Smith will continue his quest to make an impression during the Chiefs' second preseason game, which comes Friday night on the road against the Seahawks.
-
Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Chiefs' Kareem Hunt: Three touches in preseason opener
Hunt rushed twice for 12 yards and brought in one of two targets for five yards during the Chiefs' 20-17 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.
Hunt followed Isiah Pacheco into the game and played on the Chiefs' second possession, when he logged all three of his touches. The veteran back enjoyed his return to Kansas City last season and proved he had plenty left in the tank by recording 904 total yards and seven rushing TDs across 13 regular-season games. After re-signing on a one-year deal this offseason, Hunt once again figures to serve in a likely No. 2 role as long as he can hold off offseason addition Elijah Mitchell.

RJ Harvey RB | DEN
Broncos' RJ Harvey: Eight total touches Saturday
Harvey rushed seven times for 25 yards and brought in one of two targets for four yards in the Broncos' 30-9 preseason win over the 49ers on Saturday night.
Harvey had a prominent role in the Broncos' first possession, logging Denver's first touch and gaining three yards on that carry, then recording two more rush attempts totaling eight more yards later in the drive. The rookie second-round pick finished second in carries to Audric Estime, and he'll continue jostling for slotting in a busy Broncos backfield during the second preseason game against the Cardinals next Saturday night.
-
Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Strong start to preseason
Benson rushed nine times for 29 yards and brought in his only target for 20 yards during the Cardinals' 20-17 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night.
The second-year pro, who's projected to see an increased role in the coming season, fittingly led the Cardinals in rush attempts on the night. Benson logged his first touch on Arizona's second possession, recording a nine-yard run. The FSU product also had a nice chunk gain on his one catch, and he's likely to fill another robust role by preseason standards during the Cardinals' second exhibition tilt against the Broncos on the road next Saturday night.

Braelon Allen RB | NYJ
Jets' Braelon Allen: Solid workload in preseason win
Allen rushed eight times for 33 yards and failed to bring in his only target during the Jets' 30-10 preseason win over the Packers on Saturday night.
The second-year back saw Breece Hall take the first two carries, but Allen went on to rip off his game-long 14-yard rush on his first touch later in New York's first possession. Allen went on to log four more rush attempts on the Jets' second drive, and although he didn't record any other noteworthy gains, the timing of Allen's usage within the game underscores the fact he's projected for a role that will net more than the 111 total touches he recorded across 17 regular-season games during his rookie 2024 campaign. Allen is likely to see another solid workload during next Saturday night's second preseason game against the Giants.

Max Hurleman RB | PIT
Steelers' Max Hurleman: Finds end zone against Jacksonville
Hurleman secured two of four targets for 29 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 31-25 preseason win over the Jaguars.
Hurleman is one of three undrafted rookie receivers in camp with the Steelers, and all three of them had impressive showings during Saturday's preseason opener, as Ke'Shawn Williams secured both of his targets for a team-high 55 yards and a touchdown, while Roc Taylor secured two of three targets for 38 yards. Hurleman made an impact during the Steelers' two-minute drill to close out the first half, securing a 26-yard reception to put the team near the goal line before recording a three-yard touchdown catch on the next play that was accented by a backflip. Hurleman showcased some speed Saturday and could make a case for a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster if he can continue to make an impression in the weeks leading up to the regular season.
