Dare Ogunbowale RB | HOU
Texans' Dare Ogunbowale: Two touches in win
Ogunbowale gained eight yards on two carries in Sunday's 41-21 win over New England in Week 6.
As expected, Ogunbowale (18 snaps) experienced a drop in playing time and touches due to the returns of both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce. Ogunbowale, who operates as a pass-catching back on third downs, was on the field more than Cam Akers (two snaps).

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Texans' Cam Akers: Loses playing time
Akers had two carries for minus-1 yards in Sunday's 41-21 win over the Patriots.
As expected, Akers' role was significantly impacted by the returns of Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce. Akers was on the field for just two snaps, which came during Houston's final possession. He should considered the fourth running back behind Mixon, Pierce and Dare Ogunbowale, who played 18 snaps Sunday.

Travis Etienne RB | NO
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Viewed as week-to-week
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson labeled Etienne as week-to-week after the running back exited Sunday's 35-16 loss to the Bears with a hamstring injury, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Etienne failed to haul in his lone target and carried three times for minus-1 yard across 11 snaps before exiting early in the third quarter with the injury. Though he was initially labeled questionable to return, Etienne wasn't able to check back into the game, and Pederson's comments a day later suggest that the 25-year-old isn't expected to be available for Jacksonville's Week 7 matchup with New England in London. With Etienne departing early Sunday, D'Ernest Johnson led Jaguars running backs with 35 snaps while Tank Bigsby played 17, but the disparity in usage may have been a byproduct of Jacksonville trailing by double figures for the entirety of the second half and favoring the superior pass-catching back in Johnson. In the prior two contests, Bigsby had amassed 219 yards from scrimmage while operating as the preferred backup option to Etienne, and Bigsby likely represents a higher-ceiling fantasy option than Johnson for Week 7.

D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE
Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Backfield touch leader in loss
Foreman gained 31 yards on 10 carries and caught both of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Philadelphia in Week 6.
Starter Jerome Ford left the game after just four snaps with a hamstring injury, leaving the bulk of the backfield duties to Foreman and Pierre Strong (10 touches). Foreman's 12 touches (20 snaps) led the backfield while Strong (30 snaps) was on the field more often and was more productive (78 scrimmage yards). Ford's status for Week 7's tilt against the Bengals may not matter much to Foreman or Strong, as the Browns anticipate Nick Chubb (knee) being ready to make his 2024 debut.

Ameer Abdullah RB | IND
Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Loses key fumble
Abdullah rushed the ball four times for 24 yards in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers. He added three receptions on five targets for 14 yards.
Abdullah had moments of productivity as the change-of-pace back behind Alexander Mattison, but that was overshadowed by a key mistake early in the fourth quarter. With the Raiders one yard away from cutting Pittsburgh's lead to one possession, Abdullah lost a fumble at the hands of T.J. Watt. He didn't record an offensive stat thereafter, and he compounded his problems by muffing a punt just one possession later, though the Raiders recovered that one.

Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Nine touches in return
Warren recorded six rushes for seven yards in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. He added three receptions on three targets for 11 yards.
Warren returned from a two-game absence and is perhaps healthy for the first time this season. He worked as the change-of-pace back to Najee Harris and was ineffective in the role. However, Warren has shown the ability to work efficiently through his first two seasons in the league and will look to get his campaign on track after being derailed by injuries early on.

Alexander Mattison RB | MIA
Raiders' Alexander Mattison: Tallies touchdown as lead back
Mattison rushed the ball 14 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers. He added five receptions on five targets for 32 yards.
Mattison served as the lead back for the second consecutive week in the absence of Zamir White (groin). He accounted for the majority of his production on the Raiders' first offensive possession, during which Mattison recorded 25 yards on the ground while also recording his touchdown. If White is sidelined again for a Week 7 matchup against the Rams, Mattison should have the ongoing chance to be productive thanks to projected volume.

Rico Dowdle RB | PIT
Cowboys' Rico Dowdle: Usage shifts again
Dowdle recorded five rushes for 25 yards in Sunday's 47-9 loss to the Lions. He added five receptions on six targets for 30 yards.
After a breakout game in Week 5, Dowdle was surprisingly thrust back into a split backfield with Ezekiel Elliott. Dowdle managed to out-touch Elliott thanks to his work as a pass catcher and also remained the far more efficient back. While their skill profiles suggest that Dowdle should serve as the clear leader of the backfield moving forward, the Cowboys have been hesitant to fully rely on him heading into their Week 7 bye.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bengals' Zack Moss: Benched in win
Moss rushed the ball six times for 13 yards in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants. He added one reception on one target for two yards.
Moss was active after suffering an injury scare late in Week 5, and he split work evenly with Chase Brown throughout the first half. However, he fumbled on Cincinnati's opening drive of the third quarter and did not record a carry or target for the rest of the game. Brown had a fumble of his own late in the contest -- which ultimately ended up out of bounds -- and was ineffective for the majority of the time with the backfield to himself. That likely leaves the Bengals' backfield in an ambiguous split heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Browns.

Chase Brown RB | CIN
Bengals' Chase Brown: Gets extra work in win
Brown rushed the ball 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants. He added two receptions on three targets for 11 yards.
Brown split work evenly with Zack Moss throughout the first half, and neither back was effective. However, Moss began the third quarter on the field and lost a fumble, leading to him being benched for the rest of the game. Brown remained unimpressive for the majority of the time with the backfield to himself, including coughing up the ball as Cincinnati was attempting to close out the win. He did manage to redeem himself with a game-clinching 30-yard scamper one play later, and things continue to point to Brown gaining a larger role in the backfield moving forward.
