  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Impressive numbers in return

Mostert rushed 19 times for 80 yards and brought in both targets for 18 yards in the Dolphins' 15-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Mostert, making his return from a three-game absence due to a chest injury, wasn't expected to walk back into a full workload, but De'Von Achane's first-half exit due to a concussion scuttled those plans. The veteran responded in impressive fashion, consistently grinding out solid gains while splitting work with rookie Jaylen Wright, who stood out with a 13-86 line on the ground. Achane should have plenty of time to clear concussion protocol during the Week 6 bye, but Mostert should have a complementary role at minimum in a Week 7 road battle against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 20.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Saves best for last in OT win

Henry carried the ball 15 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.

The star running back opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard TD plunge, but Henry had minimal yardage until he took advantage of a tired Cincy defense to rumble 51 yards on his last carry of the day. The huge gain set up Justin Tucker for the game-winning field goal, a chip-shot 24-yarder in OT. Henry has 572 yards and six touchdowns on the ground through his first five games as a Raven, and he should see a hefty workload again in Week 6 against the Commanders.

  • Tyler Goodson RB | ATL

Colts' Tyler Goodson: Tallies 86 all-purpose yards

Goodson rushed five times for 26 yards and brought in all three targets for 31 yards in the Colts' 37-34 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. He also returned one kickoff for 29 yards.

Goodson saw extended action as part of the domino effect of Jonathan Taylor's (ankle) absence, with the former checking in as the change-of-pace option to lead back Trey Sermon. Goodson was efficient with his limited opportunities after checking into the game with only one touch from scrimmage this season, but he'd likely slide back into fantasy irrelevance if Taylor is able to return for a Week 6 road matchup against the Titans.

  • Commanders' Jeremy McNichols: Gets into end zone again

McNichols carried the ball seven times for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Browns.

Even with Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler both healthy, McNichols saw a significant workload in the second half of Sunday's rout, capping his day with a three-yard TD run in the third quarter. The Commanders' offense has been potent enough of late that there could be touches available for all three RBs, and McNichols has gotten into the end zone three times in the last two contests, but he's still third in the backfield pecking order heading into a Week 6 meeting with the Ravens.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Season-high 82 rushing yards

Cook rushed 20 times for 82 yards and a touchdown while catching two of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Houston.

Cook cut Buffalo's deficit to 20-10 with a five-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter and set season highs in both carries and rushing yards. His four rushing scores through five games in 2024 match Cook's career total through 33 regular-season games heading into this campaign. Cook will try to continue his scoring spree in Week 6 against the Jets on Monday Night Football.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Falls short of 100 scrimmage yards

Ekeler carried the ball six times for 67 yards and caught both his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Browns.

Despite the low touch volume, Ekeler produced a season-best yardage total in his return from a concussion that cost him last week's win over the Cardinals. The former Charger might have had an even bigger day from a fantasy perspective, but Washington's three rushing TDs from inside the five-yard line went to Brian Robinson (two) and Jeremy McNichols (one) instead. Ekeler is showing he's got plenty left in the tank after his rough 2023 campaign with the Bolts, and through his first five games as a Commander he's averaging an eye-popping 7.9 yards per carry, albeit on only 19 totes. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 6 against the Ravens.

  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Stands out in lopsided loss

Hubbard rushed 13 times for 97 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for minus-2 yards in the Panthers' 36-10 loss to the Bears on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.

The Panthers had their first truly pedestrian performance with Andy Dalton under center, but Hubbard continued to prove himself the most consistent member of the team's offense with another highly efficient rushing performance. Hubbard fell just short of his third straight 100-yard performance, but he recorded a rushing TD for the second consecutive game on an exciting 38-yard run in the first quarter to open the scoring on the afternoon. Hubbard didn't have a productive day as a receiver from a yardage standpoint, but he now has at least four receptions in four consecutive games heading into a Week 6 home divisional battle versus the Falcons.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Finds end zone twice in win

Robinson carried the ball seven times for 18 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Browns.

While both Austin Ekeler and quarterback Jayden Daniels had more rushing yards than Robinson, the latter was the Commanders' preferred option at the goal line, and he punched in a four-yard TD in the first quarter and a one-yard score in the second. Robinson might have had a third short touchdown in a closer game, but with Washington already ahead 24-6 in the third quarter, Jeremy McNichols got the call for a three-yard TD plunge instead. Robinson has five rushing touchdowns in five games to begin the season, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 6 clash with the Ravens.

  • Cam Akers RB | SEA

Texans' Cam Akers: Scores TD while splitting touches

Akers rushed nine times for 42 yards and a touchdown while catching two of three targets for five yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bills.

Dare Ogunbowale got the first five touches among Texans running backs, but Akers made the most of his first two opportunities once he checked in, breaking off an 11-yard run immediately followed by a 15-yard touchdown run. Neither Texans running back found much running room after that point, and while Akers finished as the team's leading rusher, he had only 11 touches to Ogunbowale's 21. If the Texans get Joe Mixon (ankle) or Dameon Pierce (hamstring) back against the Patriots in Week 6, Akers and Ogunbowale would likely both see reductions in usage.

  • Texans' Dare Ogunbowale: Gets 21 touches in Week 5 win

Ogunbowale rushed 15 times for 30 yards and caught six of seven targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bills.

Ogunbowale got a look as the lead back with Houston looking to get its running game going in the absence of Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring). While Ogunbowale performed well as a pass catcher, Cam Akers was the team's most effective option on the ground, turning his nine carries into 42 yards and a touchdown. Ogunbowale's slow day as a rusher included being stuffed on fourth-and-1 in the red zone when the Texans were looking to build on an early 14-3 lead. Even if Mixon or Pierce are cleared to return in Week 6 against the Patriots, Ogunbowale should continue to play in passing situations, but he's unlikely to get so many opportunities on the ground again.
