  • Zander Horvath RB | MIA

Zander Horvath: Let go by Fins

Horvath was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Horvath spent the first half of training camp in New Orleans before getting waived. He subsequently joined Miami, but the team ultimately decided to go in another direction. It remains to be seen what the fullback's next opportunity will be.

  • Keaontay Ingram: Done in Kansas City

The Chiefs waived Ingram on Tuesday.

Ingram made a deal with Kansas City after an underwhelming start to his NFL career with the Cardinals, but now the Chiefs have decided to move on too. He has good physical tools, but his production as a pro up to this point has been poor.

  • Emani Bailey RB | CAR

Emani Bailey: Gets waived by Chiefs

Kansas City waived Bailey on Tuesday.

Bailey was brought on board as a rookie undrafted free agent back in April, but now he's on his way out. He's perilously small and doesn't have elite speed to compensate, so it will probably be an uphill climb for him to eventually establish himself in the NFL.

  • Demetric Felton: Waived by Indianapolis

The Colts waived Felton on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.

Felton joined the Colts on Aug. 12 and played in the final two preseason games, during which he accumulated 57 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. The 2021 sixth-round pick could be invited back to the Colts' practice squad, or he could explore other options assuming he goes unclaimed off waivers.

  • Bills' Darrynton Evans: Moved to IR, return designation

Evans (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve by the Bills on Tuesday with a designation to return.

Evans hurt his hamstring in the Bills' final preseason game Saturday and must now miss at least the first four weeks of the season. With Frank Gore Jr. getting cut Tuesday, the Bills enter Week 1 with a three-man running back crew of James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Samaje Perine: Let go by Broncos

Perine was released by the Broncos on Tuesday.

It was reported Monday that the Broncos planned to release Perine if they were unable to trade him, and now the running back will have an opportunity to secure a depth role elsewhere. Chances are, the 28-year-old will find a new team in short order, though it remains to be seen if he'll land in a spot that will present him with a clear path to steady backfield touches.

  • Terrell Jennings: Doesn't make Pats' 53-man roster

The Patriots waived Jennings on Tuesday.

Jennings signed with New England in May as an undrafted free agent. The Florida A&M product spent training camp competing for a depth spot at running back, and he finished the preseason with 12 carries for 74 yards across three games. Jennings could receive an invite to the Patriots' practice squad should he go unclaimed off waivers.

  • Hassan Haskins RB | LAC

    Hassan Haskins: Waived by Tennessee

The Titans waived Haskins on Tuesday.

With Haskins having been waived, Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, and Julius Chestnut are the running backs currently on Tennessee's 53-man roster. Haskins could be claimed by another team, but if he passes through waivers, he might potentially end up back with Titans on their practice squad.

  • Aaron Shampklin: Waived by Pittsburgh

The Steelers waived Shampklin on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Shampklin was without a team in 2023 after being cut by the Chargers at the end of training camp. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers in January, and he was competing for a depth spot at running back. Shampklin didn't show much across his three preseason outings, finishing with 13 carries for 40 yards while adding three catches on four targets for three yards. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll look to catch on with a team's practice squad.

  • La'Mical Perine: Doesn't make roster cut

Perine was released by the Steelers on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Perine appeared in five regular-season games for the Chiefs in 2023, and he played exclusively on special teams in Kansas City's first three playoff games. After being waived May 17, he caught on with the Steelers six days later to compete for the No. 3 running back job behind Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren (hamstring). Perine wasn't able to show much during his three preseason outings, during which he accrued 16 carries for 46 yards and one touchdown while adding one catch on three targets for four yards. Given his experience on special teams, Perine should be able to catch on with another team -- either on the roster or practice squad -- at some point during the 2024 season.
