• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Has broken thumb, lands on IR

  Rotowire Oct 24, 2026

The Broncos placed Badie (thumb) on injured reserve Saturday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Per Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette, Badie broke his thumb during the Broncos' 17-14 overtime win over the Seahawks in Week 6. Badie is required to miss at least four games, and the earliest he can return is Week 12 against the Steelers on Friday, Nov. 27. Jonah Coleman (ankle) was activated from injured reserve in a corresponding move, and if he's cleared to play Sunday, then he would slot in as the RB3 behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Won't play against Arizona

  Rotowire Oct 23, 2026

Badie (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Badie injured his thumb during the Broncos' Week 6 win over the Seahawks, and the injury prevented him from practicing during Week 7 prep. The Broncos could promote Cody Schrader from the practice squad to the active roster to give the team extra backfield depth due to the absence of Badie, whose next chance to play is Week 8 against the Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 1.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Misses practice again Thursday

  Rotowire Oct 22, 2026

Badie (thumb) did not participate at practice Thursday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Badie was knocked out of the Broncos' contest versus the Seahawks in Week 6 early by a thumb injury, and now his status for Week 7 is in jeopardy. Unless he's able to return to practice Friday, odds are not great he'll be able to play Sunday at Arizona.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Absent from Wednesday's practice

  Rotowire Oct 21, 2026

Badie (thumb) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Badie sustained a thumb injury during the first half of the Broncos' Week 6 win over the Seahawks this past Thursday and did not return to the contest. He's opened the week with a DNP, and he'll have two more chances to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's road game against the Cardinals.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Questionable to return Thursday night

  Rotowire Oct 15, 2026

Badie (thumb) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against Seattle, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Badie suffered a thumb injury in the first half. He has just one carry for six yards in this contest, so his absence could mean a few additional snaps for J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Helps as runner, receiver, returner Sunday

  Rotowire Oct 5, 2026

Badie carried twice for seven yards, caught both of his targets for 32 yards, ran in a two-point conversion and returned one kickoff for 21 yards in a loss to San Francisco in Week 4. Badie chipped in for the Broncos in multiple facets. The highlights of his performance were a 25-yard catch-and-run in the first quarter and a two-point conversion on a run up the middle in the fourth quarter. Badie doesn't have much fantasy value given the low volume of touches he gets on a weekly basis, so it would likely take injuries ahead of him on the RB depth chart for Badie to become an intriguing waiver-wire addition.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Handles three touches in Week 2

  Rotowire Sep 22, 2026

Badie rushed one time for one yard in Denver's 20-13 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. He added two catches for 28 yards on three targets. With RJ Harvey (hamstring) inactive against Jacksonville and J.K. Dobbins suffering a hamstring injury of his own in the game, Badie saw 16 offensive snaps behind rookie Jonah Coleman. Badie also returned three kickoffs for 84 yards on special teams.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Healthy scratch Week 1

  Rotowire Sep 14, 2026

Badie (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Badie beat out Jaleel McLaughlin for a final spot on the Broncos' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. However, Badie will observe Monday night's contest in street clothes while the Broncos roll with three active running backs in RJ Harvey, J.K. Dobbins and rookie fourth-rounder Jonah Coleman. Badie's next chance to suit up is Week 2 against the Jaguars this Sunday.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Beats out McLaughlin for roster spot

  Rotowire Sep 5, 2026

Badie was one of four running backs to make the Broncos' 53-man roster following the conclusion of training camp, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin entered training camp battling for a depth spot on the active roster. Badie was the one who earned that fourth and final running back spot, joining backfield teammates J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey and rookie fourth-rounder Jonah Coleman, while McLaughlin found a new opportunity in Cleveland on the Browns' practice squad. Badie figures to mostly see the field on special teams as a returner on kickoffs, though he could be in the mix for backfield touches if one of Dobbins, Harvey or Coleman were to miss time.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Non-factor against Chiefs

  Rotowire Nov 17, 2025

Badie caught his lone target for zero yards in Sunday's 22-19 win over the Chiefs. Badie operated as Denver's No. 3 running back in Week 11, playing just eight of the Broncos' 62 offensive snaps. The Missouri product failed to record a single rushing attempt in the contest. Meanwhile, RJ Harvey stepped into the No. 1 role with J.K. Dobbins (foot) on IR, playing 38 snaps and handling 14 total touches. Badie is likely to continue to play a pass-catching role for the Broncos as the season progresses, with Jaleel McLaughlin handling primary backup duties behind Harvey. McLaughlin had six touches on his eight snaps and scored the only touchdown for the Broncos against a formidable Chiefs defense. The 25-year-old Badie will be difficult to trust for consistent production each week, making him a risky bet for fantasy managers when the Broncos return from their Week 12 bye to square off against the Commanders in Week 13.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Three touches in Week 2

  Rotowire Sep 15, 2025

Badie rushed once for three yards and caught both of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts. Badie had a quiet game against Indianapolis, as he was targeted just two twice after seeing six targets in Week 1. The 25-year-old running back continued his role as the No. 3 back behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey, playing just 13 of the Broncos' 58 offensive snaps. With Dobbins and Harvey handling most of the backfield duties for Denver, Badie should be ignored for fantasy purposes based on his limited usage. The Broncos are set to visit the Chargers in Week 3.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Sees time with first team Saturday

  Rotowire Aug 23, 2025

Badie rushed four times for 14 yards and brought in four of five targets for 31 yards in the Broncos' 28-19 preseason win over the Saints on Saturday afternoon. He also returned two kickoffs for 72 yards. Badie logged his first touch on Denver's second possession with 10:25 remaining, sharing time with RJ Harvey on that drive. Badie, a third-year back, would go on to particularly make an impact as both a receiver and returner, and it remains to be seen if his in-game slotting Saturday is indicative of a potential move up the depth chart to open the campaign. Badie has logged four regular-season appearances with the Broncos over the last two campaigns, and his 33.0-yard average on three kickoff returns this preseason may serve to give him a path to the 53-man roster.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Two carries in wild-card loss

  Rotowire Jan 13, 2025

Badie rushed twice for eight yards in Sunday's 31-7 wild-card round loss to the Bills. Badie played just three of the Broncos' 42 offensive snaps in his first game back from a long stint on injured reserve due to a back injury suffered in Week 4. The 24-year-old running back missed the remainder of the regular season, finishing the year with just 11 carries for 86 yards while catching all three of his targets for minus-2 yards. Badie also lost one fumble in his three games played. The Missouri product remains under contract for the 2025 season, and he'll likely compete with fellow running backs Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime next season while Javonte Williams could be headed out of Denver as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Broncos could, however, choose to sign a free-agent running back this offseason or address the position in the draft, adding more competition ahead of the 2025 campaign.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Active versus Bills

  Rotowire Jan 12, 2025

Badie (back) is active for Sunday's wild-card round game against the Bills. Badie, who landed on IR after suffering an injury during Week 4 action, was activated by the Broncos on Saturday and is thus set to provide postseason depth in a backfield that also includes Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin. With Badie back in the mix versus Buffalo, RBs Audric Estime and Blake Watson were made inactive by Denver in the team's postseason opener.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Questionable to face Bills

  Rotowire Jan 10, 2025

Badie (back), who remains on IR, is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's road AFC wild-card round game against the Bills, Susanna Weir of the Broncos' official site reports. Badie logged a trio of full practices this week, but he'll need to be officially brought off IR by Saturday's deadline in order to be eligible to play Sunday. If cleared to face Buffalo, Badie will figure to handle a depth role in Denver's backfield, which already houses Jaleel McLaughlin, Audric Estime, Javonte Williams and Blake Watson.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Downgraded to out in Week 17

  Rotowire Dec 27, 2024

Badie (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bengals, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Badie was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's contest after practicing in full all week. However, the Missouri product has been downgraded to out and will remain on injured reserve through Week 17. With Badie now officially ruled out, the Broncos' running back room will likely consist of Javonte Williams, Audric Estime, Jaleel McLaughlin and Blake Watson.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Full participant in return to field

  Rotowire Dec 24, 2024

Badie (back) was a full participant in his return to practice Wednesday. After being designated for return from injured reserve earlier Wednesday and having his 21-day practice window opened, Badie faced no restrictions while taking part in his first on-field work since Week 4. The third-year running back has spent the past two and a half months recuperating from a back injury he suffered in a Sept. 29 win over the Jets, so the Broncos may want him to turn in more than just one week of practice before activating him from IR. Denver signed Blake Watson off their practice squad Wednesday to bolster its depth in the backfield, which lessens the need for the team to rush Badie back from IR in advance of Saturday's game in Cincinnati.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Cleared to practice

  Rotowire Dec 24, 2024

The Broncos designated Badie (back) to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Badie was placed on IR on Oct. 5, just a few days after he collapsed on the sideline upon suffering a back injury in the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Jets. More than two and a half months later, he's ready to start practicing again, but given the length of his absence, the running back may not be activated from IR ahead of Saturday's game against Cincinnati.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: Ruled out against Raiders

  Rotowire Oct 4, 2024

Badie (back) won't play Sunday against the Raiders, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Badie's absence isn't surprising considering coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that an IR stint could be on the table for the running back. Badie hasn't practiced since hurting his back in the first half of Denver's Week 4 win over the Jets. His next chance to suit up will be Week 6 against the Chargers.

• Broncos' Tyler Badie: IR stint possible

  Rotowire Oct 3, 2024

Head coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that Badie (back) is "possibly" a candidate for injured reserve, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Badie, who suffered a back injury and was carted off the field in this past Sunday's 10-9 win over the Jets, was the only Broncos player who didn't practice Wednesday. Considering that he may land on IR, Badie looks to be trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Raiders, at the very least. If Badie is out Week 5, Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin would likely pick up most of the snaps out of the Denver backfield.
