Saylors (ankle) could return to practice in "a day or two," Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.

Saylors likely picked up the issue in Thursday's preseason opener against the Bengals. The running back is set to be the starting kick returner for the Lions this season, so healing completely from the issue takes priority over preseason action. Saylors played just nine offensive snaps over 16 regular-season games in 2025 compared to 281 special-teams snaps.

The Texans placed Pitsenberger (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.

Pitsenberger suffered an ankle injury in Friday's preseason loss to the Chargers. The running back was set to be sidelined for at least a few weeks but will now miss the entirety of the 2026 season. The only way Pitsenberger could play in 2026 is if he is waived with an injury settlement.

Skattebo is lined up with Jameis Winston and the second-string offense during pregame warmups for Saturday's preseason matchup with Minnesota, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy are listed as co-starters on the Giants' initial preseason depth chart, and there's a good chance both end up taking snaps with the starters. Tracy, however, appears in line to get the first crack at Minnesota's defense. Skattebo looks ready to make his first game appearance since suffering a season-ending ankle/leg injury last year. The Giants haven't outright said that he'll play, so there is still some chance that Skattebo that just watches from the sideline in uniform Saturday.

Tracy is lined up with the starters during pregame warmups before Saturday's preseason matchup with Minnesota, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Cam Skattebo, meanwhile, is working with Jameis Winston and the second-team offense. This may be a distant memory by the time Week 1 rolls around, but it does serve as a reminder that the workload split between Tracy and Skattebo bears monitoring in the coming weeks/months.

Benson (knee) did not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Cowboys and has no definitive timeline for return, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports.

Benson was cleared to return to practice in early August, but it looks like he's suffered a setback with a left knee injury that he's been dealing with since last October. Jeremiyah Love (ankle) and James Conner (foot) are also working through their own injuries, leaving Tyler Allgeier as the top healthy running back on the Cardinals' depth chart, with Bam Knight, Corey Kiner and Evan Hull all providing backfield depth.

Head coach Mike LaFleur said Saturday that there is no timeline for Conner (foot) to participate in 11-on-11 drills in training camp practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Conner continues to rehab from foot and ankle surgery that he underwent last September after suffering a severe injury in Week 3 against the 49ers. It seems unlikely that the veteran running back will play in either of the Cardinals' remaining preseason games, but he could be ready to suit up for the team's regular-season opener against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 13. Jeremiyah Love picked up an ankle injury during Thursday's 27-14 preseason win over the Raiders and is expected to be sidelined for this upcoming week, so Tyler Allgeier figures to serve as the Cardinals' top running back in practice ahead of Arizona's next preseason game against Dallas on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters Saturday that Love will be sidelined for at least a week by an ankle injury that he sustained during the Cardinals' 27-14 preseason win over the Raiders on Thursday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

LaFleur noted during Saturday's press conference that Love was "a little more sore than anticipated" following Thursday's exhibition game. With Love not practicing this week, he's unlikely to be available for Arizona's next preseason game, which takes place Saturday, Aug. 22, against Dallas. Prior to his injury, the No. 3 overall pick of this year's draft put together a solid stat line against Las Vegas, turning 11 carries into 58 yards while hauling in all three targets for 14 yards. With both Love and James Conner (foot) sidelined, Tyler Allgeier figures to see most of the first-team reps during practice this week, with Trey Benson, Bam Knight, Corey Kiner and Evan Hull all in line for additional reps.

Davis (knee) did not play in Friday's 24-16 preseason loss to the Buccaneers.

Davis wasn't expected to suit up for Friday's exhibition game while working through a knee injury. His next chance to play is next Friday against the Steelers, but if he's not cleared for that contest, then his last chance to see preseason action would be Friday, Aug. 28, against the Giants. The longer Davis is sidelined, the more opportunities that Braelon Allen will have to make his case for the Jets' RB2 role behind Breece Hall.

Gainwell did not play in the Buccaneers' 24-16 preseason win over the Jets on Friday.

Both Gainwell and Bucky Irving, the Bucs' top running backs on the depth chart, observed Friday's game in street clothes while Josh Williams, Sean Tucker and Kadarius Calloway all saw action. Gainwell is coming off a breakout 2025 season with the Steelers, when he accumulated 1,023 yards from scrimmage on 187 touches across 17 regular-season games. He caught 73 passes (on 85 targets) last year with Pittsburgh, and he figures to see a sizable role in Tampa Bay's passing game for the upcoming season.

Robinson did not play in the Falcons' 27-7 preseason loss to the Broncos on Friday.

Robinson dressed and warmed up pregame but observed Friday's exhibition contest from the sidelines. He was the only Falcons running back to not suit up, as Brian Robinson played in each of the first two offensive series while Tyler Goodson led all Atlanta RB's with 24 snaps on offense. Per Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site, Robinson is still in ramp-up mode after recently returning to practice, so he could play in Atlanta's next preseason game, which takes place Saturday, Aug. 22, against Indianapolis.
