  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Sits out first Week 15 practice

Mostert (knee/veteran rest) is listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report.

Following Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans, the Dolphins didn't hold an actual practice Wednesday, but Mostert would have sat out if the team convened for a workout. Mostert's projected practice absence shouldn't sound any alarms for fantasy managers, as he opened both of the past two weeks as a non-participant before taking double-digit carries in games against Washington and Tennessee. The Dolphins haven't provided any word that he suffered a setback with his knee coming out of Monday's contest, so he's likely just getting some extra maintenance on a short week before the Dolphins host the Jets on Sunday.

  • De'Von Achane RB | MIA

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Tending to toe issue this week

Achane was estimated as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice report due to a toe injury.

Achane appeared on the Dolphins' Week 14 injury report due to a rib issue, though he was listed as a full practice participant Thursday through Saturday before he played 31 snaps and finished with 71 yards from scrimmage on 12 touches (seven carries, five receptions) in a 28-27 loss to Tennessee on Monday. The rookie running back is tending to a new injury Week 15, and unlike last week, he'll end up missing some practice reps as a result. If Achane is able to get back on the field in some capacity Thursday or Friday, it would assuage some of the concern about his health heading into Sunday's game against the Jets.

  • Jerome Ford RB | WAS

Browns' Jerome Ford: Logs limited practice

Ford (wrist) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Per Petrak, head coach Kevin Stefanski relayed earlier this week that X-rays on Ford's hand and wrist were negative, but the running back's listed limitations Wednesday make his status worth tracking ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears. Along with Ford, Kareem Hunt (groin) also appeared on the Browns' initial Week 15 injury report, though Hunt was a non-participant in Wednesday's session.

  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Shakes off knee concern

Harris (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

After being listed as questionable ahead of last Thursday's game against the Patriots while tending to the knee issue, Harris suited up and played 39 snaps in the Steelers' 21-18 loss while finishing with 12 carries for 29 yards and three catches for 19 yards. The Steelers didn't indicate that Harris experienced any setbacks coming out of that contest, and his ability to take every rep Wednesday a day after being listed as a non-participant in practice suggests that his absence Tuesday was mostly maintenance-related. Harris looks set to split work out of the backfield with Jaylen Warren once again during this Saturday's game in Indianapolis.

  • Saints' Jamaal Williams: Tending to groin issue

Head coach Dennis Allen said Williams was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a groin injury, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

Both Williams and Kendre Miller (ankle) operated with caps on their reps to begin Week 15 prep, leaving Alvin Kamara as the only healthy running back on New Orleans' active roster. As a result, the situation has spurred the expected signing of free-agent running back James Robinson, which has yet to be confirmed. Williams himself will have to more opportunities this week to get back to full activity before the Saints potentially hand him a designation for Sunday's game against the Giants.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Kenyan Drake: Back to practice squad

Drake reverted to the Packers' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Drake received an opportunity with the active roster for Monday's loss to the Giants with Aaron Jones still nursing a knee injury. However, the veteran running back never saw a snap and remained on the sidelines throughout the contest. If Jones remains out Sunday against the Buccaneers, Drake will be a likely candidate to earn another opportunity with the active roster.

  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Remains sidelined Wednesday

Pacheco (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Pacheco didn't practice in any capacity last week before sitting out Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bills. The running back remains a spectator in practice as the Chiefs begin Week 15 prep, but Pacheco will have two more chances to get in some on-field work ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots. If the running back is unable to play through his shoulder issue this weekend, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon would once again lead the Kansas City backfield.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Will be limited Wednesday

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Mitchell (knee) will be a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Shanahan said Monday that Mitchell has a chance to return from a one-game absence this Sunday at Arizona, according to Josh Dubow of The Associated Press. Jordan Mason took on the running-back reps that didn't go to Christian McCaffrey this past Sunday against the Seahawks, carrying four times for 20 yards and one touchdown and hauling in his only target for six yards. If Mitchell makes enough progress to suit up Week 15, he likely will push Mason back to third on the depth chart.

  • Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Missing another practice

Mattison (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Ty Chandler took 79 percent of Minnesota's offensive snaps in the second half of Sunday's 3-0 win over the Raiders, stepping in as the lead back after Mattison left early with a right ankle sprain. The Vikings listed Mattison as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate and now are holding him out of an actual practice, making him uncertain to play this Saturday against the Bengals. Kene Nwangwu is the third running back on Minnesota's active roster, but he's mostly been used on special teams throughout his career, so Myles Gaskin or DeWayne McBride may be elevated from the practice squad for the No. 2 role if Mattison doesn't end up playing Saturday.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Back at practice

Demercado (neck) returned to practice Wednesday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.

Demercado was evaluated for head and neck injuries after taking a hard hit during the first quarter of a Week 13 win over Pittsburgh. He ended up clearing concussion protocol but nonetheless missed the rest of that game, though he looks as though he's close to full health coming out of Arizona's Week 14 bye. Assuming he'll be available for this Sunday's game against the 49ers, Demercado probably won't have much of a role, considering Conner typically dominates the snaps out of the backfield when healthy, while Michael Carter is also on hand to fill in for whatever plays Conner doesn't handle.
