  • Sean McKeon TE | IND

Sean McKeon: Reverts to practice squad

McKeon reverted to the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

McKeon was elevated for the third time this season ahead of Sunday's 24-6 win over the Lions. However, the third-year tight end saw his lowest offensive usage of the year, playing 16 of his 18 snaps on special teams against Detroit. McKeon has now recorded one reception (on one target) for 10 yards in 2022, and he will require a full spot on the active roster in order to suit up for Dallas again this season.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

    Ravens' Mark Andrews: Estimated non-participant

Andrews (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate.

Though Andrews was on the field for 56 of a possible 64 snaps on offense in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns, he failed to haul in either of his two targets and rushed once for four yards in the contest. With no reported setbacks Week 7, Andrews' listed lack of activity Monday presumably is indicative of practice rep management ahead of Thursday night's game against the Buccaneers.

  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Bengals' Hayden Hurst: Eight targets in win

Hurst had six catches for 48 yards on eight targets in Sunday's win over the Falcons.

Hurst entered the week with limited practices for the second week in a row, only to clear the injury report Friday. The eight targets tied his season high.

  • Isaiah Likely TE | NYG

Ravens' Isaiah Likely: Role diminishing in offense

Likely caught his lone target for a 16-yard gain in Sunday's win over the Browns.

Likely played a season-low six offensive snaps Sunday, which is a concerning development for the rookie at this stage of the year. He does not appear close to carving out a larger role in the offense. Meanwhile, Josh Oliver has played 33 percent or more of the snaps in each of the last three games, including 49 percent Sunday. Likely and the Ravens have a quick turnaround Week 8 as they travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers on Thursday.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Needs surgery, out indefinitely

Giants head coach Brain Daboll said Monday that Bellinger (eye) will undergo surgery and is out indefinitely, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Bellinger fractured his eye socket during Sunday's win over the Jaguars and was transported to the hospital immediately, but he wasn't diagnosed with a fracture until meeting with a specialist Monday. Daboll wouldn't rule out the rookie tight end for the season, but he did say it's currently uncertain if Bellinger will play again this season.

  • Jelani Woods TE | NYJ

Colts' Jelani Woods: Just one reception Sunday

Woods had one reception for four yards on two targets in Sunday's loss at Tennessee.

Woods had about equal opportunity to the other two tight ends (14 routes, compared to 15 for Mo Alie-Cox and 18 for Kylen Granson), but the trio did not do much. None of the three tight ends were a factor Sunday with a combined two receptions and three targets, though perhaps they could get more involved with Sam Ehlinger taking over as the starting quarterback.

  • Armani Rogers TE | BUF

Commanders' Armani Rogers: Catches three passes

Rogers caught three of three targets for 28 yards Sunday against the Packers, playing 51 percent of offensive snaps in a 23-21 victory.

Logan Thomas (calf) was inactive, John Bates played through a hamstring injury, and Cole Turner was forced out of the game with a concussion. Still, it was a nice showing from Rogers, a college QB who earned a roster spot this summer after going undrafted. While listed at only 225 pounds, Rogers has played just over 50 percent of his snaps as an inline tight end, rather than strictly being used as a pass catcher. He could have a role again Week 8 against the Colts, especially if some combination of Thomas, Bates and Turner is/are limited or absent.

  • John Bates TE | WAS

Commanders' John Bates: Not targeted in win

Bates wasn't targeted Sunday against the Packers, playing 23 snaps on offense (31 percent) in a 23-21 win.

Armani Rogers led the TEs with a 51 percent snap share and three catches, while Cole Turner was targeted twice (both incomplete) before leaving with a concussion. Bates was listed as questionable after missing the previous game with a hamstring injury, and it's possible that contributed to his diminished role relative to previous games that Logan Thomas (calf) has missed. It's possible all three of Thomas, Bates and Turner show up on the Week 8 injury report ahead of a road game against the Colts.

  • Dan Arnold TE | PHI

Jaguars' Dan Arnold: Catches lone target

Arnold secured his only target for 24 yards during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants.

Arnold played 10 of 71 offensive snaps and brought in his only target during the first quarter. The 27-year-old has four receptions for 78 yards on the season as Evan Engram continues to operate as Jacksonville's No. 1 tight end.

  • Mo Alie-Cox TE | IND

Colts' Mo Alie-Cox: No targets again Sunday

Alie-Cox did not have a target nor reception but played 24 snaps on offense in Sunday's loss at Tennessee.

That's two concecutive games where Alie-Cox hasn't had a target even though he's playing about the same as the other tight ends. Alie-Cox ran 15 routes compaired to 18 for Kylen Granson and 14 for Jelani Woods. None of the three was a factor Sunday with a combined two receptions and three targets. Alie-Cox appears to have fallen to the third option in the passing game among tight ends and may not have any fantasy value other than the rare red-zone target.
