  • Hunter Long TE | JAC

Dolphins' Hunter Long: Questionable for Week 2

Long (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, David Furones of the Sun Sentinel reports.

It has already been a long season for the reserve tight end on the injury front, as he played through an illness in the season opener against the Jets. Long missed Miami's first two practices of the week due to this ankle injury before returning to a limited session Friday to give himself a chance to suit up in Week 2.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Questionable for Week 2

Jordan (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Reference reports.

Jordan missed practice entirely Thursday but sandwiched that absence between a pair of limited sessions. If Jordan sits out, O.J. Howard could see more opportunities to run routes from the tight end position while blocking specialist Pharaoh Brown should continue to lead all Houston TEs in snaps.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: Doubtful for Week 2

Uzomah (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Uzomah's condition seems to have deteriorated throughout the week, as he was unable to practice Friday after posting a limited session Thursday and practicing fully Wednesday. In Uzomah's absence, Lawrence Cager and rookie Jeremy Ruckert should see increased opportunities at tight end behind Tyler Conklin.

  • Devin Asiasi TE | TEN

Bengals' Devin Asiasi: Questionable for Sunday

Asiasi (quadriceps) logged another limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 2 at Dallas.

Asiasi is still dealing with the same quad injury that limited him throughout the preseason and kept him out Week 1. Even if he can play Sunday, he'll likely find himself buried on the depth chart behind Hayden Hurst and Drew Sample.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Could practice Friday

Kittle (groin) is present for Friday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Kittle likely will be limited if he does indeed practice, but it perhaps gives him a chance to play this Sunday against the Seahawks. If not, the Niners could go with a three-man rotation at tight end again after using each of Tyler Kroft, Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner on 19 or more snaps in the season-opening loss to Chicago.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: To be game-time call

Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Uzomah (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Browns, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Uzomah is coming off a full practice Wednesday and a limited session Thursday, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him be listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. Tyler Conklin operated as the Jets' top tight end during the team's season-opening loss to Baltimore, while Uzomah was not targeted.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: Catches six passes in loss

Everett caught six of his 10 targets for 71 yards in Thursday's 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.

Everett once again put together a solid day for fantasy managers, stepping in as a key target with Keenan Allen (hamstring) sidelined. Unfortunately, the veteran tight end's night will mostly be remembered for a momentum-changing play in the contest. Everett set up the Chargers on the precipice of a go-ahead touchdown to begin the fourth quarter following receptions of 26 and seven yards. Despite motioning to be subbed off the field, the team opted for a hurry-up offense and targeted Everett for a third time, only for the 28-year-old to make little effort toward the pass, which resulted in a 99-yard interception returned for a touchdown. It's hard to imagine Everett will continue to see this type of volume in future weeks, but it's clear he's a focal point of the offense and should be in low-end TE1 consideration Week 3 against the Jaguars.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Team-leading five grabs in win

Kelce brought in five of seven targets for 51 yards in the Chiefs' 27-24 win over the Chargers on Thursday night.

Kelce had lit up the Chargers for 17 receptions, 295 yards and two touchdowns in two games last season, so expectations were naturally high coming into Thursday night. Kelce paced Kansas City in receptions and receiving yards and shared the team lead in targets on the night, also coming within a couple of yards of the end zone late in the third quarter when Derwin James stopped him in his tracks. Nevertheless, the performance was modest by the perennial Pro Bowler's lofty standards. Kelce will look to get back closer to his Week 1 numbers (8-121-1) when the Chiefs face the Colts on the road in Week 3 a week from Sunday.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Misses practice Thursday

Jordan (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.

Jordan was limited at Wednesday's practice, so the downgrade in participation Thursday makes his status one to monitor ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. It's worth noting that offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton suggested to Bien-Aime earlier Thursday that the tight end was expected to play this weekend. A return to the practice field by Jordan in any capacity Friday would support that notion.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Cardinals' Zach Ertz: Puts in full practice Thursday

Ertz (calf) practiced in full Thursday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Ertz's DNP on Wednesday may have been a mere rest day after playing 60 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps in a Week 1 loss to the Chiefs. He intimated as much Thursday, telling Drake, "I feel great now. The calf, God willing, is behind me, so (I'm) really just focused on being the best I can be on Sunday and find a way to win." Assuming he's over his calf injury, Ertz will look to increase his involvement in the passing game Week 2 after a 2-14-1 performance on four targets in the opener.
