  • Packers' Jace Sternberger: Remains limited in practice

Sternberger (concussion) was limited during Thursday's practice session.

Since sustaining his concussion Dec. 6 during a win over Philadelphia, Sternberger has missed three consecutive games. The 24-year-old has proven capable of submitting consecutive limited sessions between Wednesday and Thursday, however, a stark improvement compared to last week, when he sat out all three of the Packers' practices. He'll still have to clear league concussion protocol, but Sternberger is trending in the right direction heading into a Sunday late afternoon kickoff at Chicago.

  • Cole Kmet TE | CHI

Bears' Cole Kmet: Downgraded to limited

Kmet (shoulder) was held to limited participation during Thursday's practice session.

The second-round rookie hasn't missed a game all season, and his Thursday appearance on the injury report was notable given that he submitted a full session the day prior. There have been no reported shoulder issues to this point in the season for Kmet, though he did deal with back and groin injuries that curtailed his practice involvement in October and November. Kmet's Friday status may go a long way toward clarifying the tight end's availability for a crucial Sunday afternoon home game against Green Bay.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Full practice Thursday

    Parham (illness) practiced fully Thursday.

With Hunter Henry still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Parham could be in line for an expanded role again Week 17 if Henry isn't activated in advance of Sunday's contest against Kansas City. In such a scenario, Parham would continue to work in a tight end timeshare with Stephen Anderson. In the Chargers' Week 16 win over the Broncos, Parham caught two of his three targets for 47 yards, while Anderson chipped in four catches (on six targets) for 48 yards.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Sits out another practice

Goedert (calf) was listed as a non-participant at Thursday's practice.

Goedert has been idle for both of the Eagles' first two Week 17 practices while managing the calf issue. Head coach Doug Pederson hasn't clarified whether Goedert is at risk of missing Sunday's game against the Washington, but with the Eagles having been eliminated from playoff contention, the team could err on the side of caution and hold the tight end out for the season finale if there's truly any concern about his calf.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Resumes practicing

Parham (illness) was back at practice Thursday, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.

It remains to be seen if he'll be listed as a full or limited participant, but with Hunter Henry still on the reserve/COVID-19 list as of Thursday, Parham could be in line for added work again Week 17 if Henry isn't activated before Sunday's game against Kansas City.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Another limited practice

Engram (calf) was limited at Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Engram has made it through a season relatively unscathed for the first time in four years as a pro, but he hurt his left ankle in the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's defeat at Baltimore. So far this week, his practice reps have been capped, but Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com noted Engram seemed to be "more involved" Thursday than he was at Wednesday's session. Friday's practice report will provide a sense of Engram's odds to play Sunday versus the Cowboys.

  • Bills' Reggie Gilliam: Missing another week

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that Gilliam (knee) won't suit up Sunday against the Dolphins, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.

Gilliam is set to close out the regular season with back-to-back missed games, though it's possible that the fullback will manage to return during the playoffs. On a positive note for Buffalo, McDermott didn't rule out any other players for Week 17.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Out Week 17 after positive test

Bryant won't be available for Sunday's game against the Steelers after testing positive for COVID-19, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Cleveland had already moved Bryant to the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday after the tight end was deemed to be a close contact of an infected person or persons. Upon undergoing additional testing while in isolation the past couple of days, Bryant was determined to have contracted the virus. He'll thus remain away from the team for the regular-season finale, though Bryant could have a chance to gain clearance for a potential wild-card playoff game, should the Browns earn a postseason berth. Cleveland will proceed with David Njoku and Stephen Carlson as its depth options at tight end behind Austin Hooper in Week 17.

  • Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Non-participant Wednesday

Daniels (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Daniels didn't practice last Wednesday but was able to suit up in Saturday's loss to the 49ers, as he logged 30 snaps on offense and caught one of two targets for seven yards. His absence from practice this Wednesday could be merely precautionary as the Cardinals prepare to face the Rams on Sunday.

  • Dan Arnold TE | PHI

Cardinals' Dan Arnold: Back on injury report

Arnold (back) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Arnold was listed as questionable ahead of last week's loss to the 49ers while managing the back injury, but he proceeded to suit up and played 36 offensive snaps, his highest total since Week 2. With a limited practice to begin Week 17, Arnold should be ready to go for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Rams so long as he avoids a setback. Arnold could be in line for another increased workload if neither Maxx Williams (ankle) nor Darrell Daniels (hamstring) can play.
