The Patriots signed Fumagalli to a contract Thursday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.

Fumagalli has suited up for 19 games with the Broncos in his NFL career, with 14 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns in that span. He joined Denver as a fifth-round pick during the 2018 NFL Draft, and also spent some time on Houston's practice squad during the 2020 season. Now, the former Wisconsin standout will get a chance to compete with the likes of Devin Asiasi, Dalton Keene and Matt LaCosse for a depth spot with the Patriots.

Cager went down in pain during Thursday's OTA with an apparent injury to his left leg, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Per Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record, the injury looked like a left hamstring issue. Cager ultimately made his way to the locker room on his own alongside a trainer, so it appears he may have avoided the worst-case scenarios. Even so, he's likely set to miss some offseason work as a result, which doesn't bode well for a receiver on the roster bubble. He should still have plenty of time to get back in action if the issue isn't deemed serious.

Head coach Sean McDermott indicated earlier this week that Sweeney (illness) is back to normal after missing most of last season due to effects from COVID-19, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. "He's off to a great start. He's in a good spot. He's worked his tail off, he's been here most of the offseason," McDermott said.

It's been a struggle for the 2019 seventh-rounder out of Boston College, as he caught just eight balls for 114 yards in his rookie season and never saw action in 2020. The Bills have five tight ends with a viable shot of making the roster, but only Dawson Knox seems like a sure bet to make the team. Sweeney could begin 2021 anywhere from No. 2 on the depth chart to being a camp cut.

Seals-Jones has signed a contract with Washington, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

Washington doesn't have much prominent depth at tight end behind Logan Thomas, so Seals-Jones will certainly have a shot to earn a roster spot in camp. Seals-Jones failed to record a catch over two appearances with the Chiefs last season but caught at least 12 passes in each of the previous three campaigns, split between Arizona and Cleveland.

Sutton is signing with the Seahawks, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Sutton was in camp with Carolina last season but failed to make the team. The 6-foot-6 Fresno State product is a blocking specialist who's unlikely to move the needle in a pass-catching capacity, even if he beats the odds and sticks with Seattle out of camp.

Okwuegbunam (knee) got limited on-field work in during Monday's practice, George Stoia of The Denver Gazette reports.

Okwuegbunam is roughly five months removed from undergoing surgery to repair his torn right ACL. While he certainly isn't back to full health yet, it's encouraging to see the tremendously athletic tight end progressing well in his recovery. Coach Vic Fangio previously said that Okwuegbunam might not be fully healthy for the start of training camp, but it appears that he still could be on track for Week 1.

Pederson has signed with the 49ers.

Pederson's an undrafted rookie out of Louisiana Monroe. He had 567 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games during an outstanding junior season but regressed with only 367 yards and no touchdowns over 10 games as a senior.

Kampmoyer has signed with the Chargers.

Kampmoyer will get a look with the Chargers after going undrafted out of Oregon. He had 224 yards and four touchdowns in 18 games over four years at Oregon, working predominantly as a blocking specialist.

Wells has signed with the Bengals, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

Wells is a pass-catching tight end with a basketball background, but he'll need to show that he's capable of blocking effectively at the NFL level to secure a spot on Cincinnati's roster.

Wieting was waived by the Giants on Sunday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.

The Giants signed converted wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin to bolster their tight end room, leaving Wieting as the odd man out. Wieting will hope to get a shot with another team in camp.
