Saubert agreed to join the Jaguars' practice squad Sunday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Saubert was let go by the Bears on Wednesday to make room on the 53-man roster, but he didn't have to wait long to find a new team. The 26-year-old caught just two passes for 21 yards across two appearances for the Bears in 2019.

Hopkins is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 2020 fourth-round pick failed to suit up in last week's primetime win over Dallas, and he'll have to wait another week to make his NFL debut. With Hopkins sidelined, Johnny Mundt will handle the depth tight end snaps for Week 2.

Deguara (shin/ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Deguara missed the Packers' last two practice sessions of the week with his leg injuries, and he will not play Sunday for the same reason. Deguara's absence should open up some snaps for the other three tight ends on the Packers' roster, and possibly some targets for Robert Tonyan and Jace Sternberger, in particular.

Everett (back) is listed as active Sunday at Philadelphia, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Everett kicked off Week 2 preparations with a DNP on Wednesday, only to practice in a limited capacity Thursday and bump up to full Friday. Still, the Rams gave the tight end a questionable designation. Fortunately for Everett, he'll be out there Sunday, but his snap share again will be distant second to No. 1 TE Tyler Higbee. While playing 24 of 73 offensive plays in L.A.'s season-opening win against the Cowboys, Everett reeled in one of two targets for seven yards.

The 49ers believe that Kittle (knee), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, will be ready to play in the team's Week 3 matchup with the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Kittle is dealing with a sprained MCL in his left knee in addition to a bone bruise, injuries that would normally necessitate a multi-week recovery timetable. Though the tight end won't be available Week 2 after suffering the injury in the season-opening loss to Arizona, the 49ers gained optimism that Kittle would make a quick return after he was able to walk around the team's training facility without a limp this week. He'll continue his rehab in San Francisco through the weekend before joining the 49ers on the East Coast early this week as the team prepares for back-to-back games at MetLife Stadium. While Kittle is sidelined for the Jets game, Jordan Reed is expected to operate as the 49ers' top pass-catching tight end, while Ross Dwelley, Charlie Woerner and Kyle Juszczyk likely handle most of Kittle's responsibilities as a blocker.

Everett (back) is on track to play Sunday against the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Everett is officially considered questionable, but coach Sean McVay said Friday he expects him to play and that doesn't appear to have changed heading into Sunday. The 26-year-old likely will still need to be cleared via a pregame workout before the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but he's currently expected to play in Philadelphia.

Bryant caught one of two targets for 14 yards and played 30 snaps (52 percent) in Thursday's 35-30 win over the Bengals in Week 2.

Bryant played one less snap Thursday than he did Week 1, but the rookie had a greater share of the total, going from 42 to 52 percent. As expected, his usage increased with David Njoku (knee) on injured reserve. However, that was tempered by the increase in snaps for fullback Andy Janovich, who went from nine snaps Week 1 to 22 on Thursday. Bryant has two catches, four targets and 19 yards after two games.

Hooper caught two of four targets for 22 yards in Thursday's 35-30 win over the Bengals in Week 2.

The Browns threw only 23 times, so targets were limited across the board, but Hooper had two more Thursday than he did in Week 1's loss to the Ravens. The Browns were able to run their offense, designed to lean heavily on the ground game and use tight ends. He was on the field nearly as much as quarterback Baker Mayfield, playing 57 of 58 snaps. Hooper hasn't found the end zone after two games but was targeted once in the red zone Thursday.

Uzomah (Achilles) has been placed on IR by the Bengals.

Uzomah tore his right Achilles in Thursday's loss to the Browns and is out for the season. As a result, Drew Sample figures to step into the starting role at tight end for the Bengals, with Cethan Carter and Mason Schreck in reserve.

Everett (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, but coach Sean McVay said he expects the tight end to play, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.

Everett suffered his injury in a Week 1 win over Dallas, catching one of two targets for seven yards on 33 percent snap share before he left the game. His role doesn't appear to offer much promise for fantasy purposes, but he still has value to the Rams for two-TE formations. Confirmation of his Week 2 availability may have to wait until Sunday morning when the Rams release their inactive list before a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
