  • Jonnu Smith TE | PIT

Titans' Jonnu Smith: Records one catch

Smith hauled in his lone target for 12 yards in Sunday's 21-0 loss against the Ravens.

Smith made his first catch since Week 3 and has just three receptions through six games this season. Though it was assumed he would step into the role of injured Delanie Walker, that hasn't been the case. Smith has failed to command more than three targets in a game this season.

  • Titans' Anthony Firkser: Registers first career reception

Firkser hauled in both of his targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 21-0 loss to the Ravens.

Sunday was a memorable day for Firkser, as he made both his first regular-season appearance and reception. He was signed from the team's practice squad Oct. 8 after bouncing around with the Jets and Chiefs earlier in his career. Though the Titans' tight ends aren't particularly impressive, Firkser still figures to slot in behind both Jonnu Smith and Luke Stocker at the position moving forward.

  • Geoff Swaim TE | CLE

Cowboys' Geoff Swaim: Catches two passes in win over Jags

Swaim caught both his targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 40-7 win over the Jaguars.

Swaim was targeted just twice, but that was good for third on the team on a day in which the running game was heavily featured. He had averaged 47 receiving yards over the last three games, so this effort was surely disappointing to fantasy owners who were anticipating a larger role in the offense. Swaim should continue to serve as the team's preferred pass-catching tight end option, though his team's reliance on the ground attack can cap his opportunities in a given week. He'll look to bounce back next Sunday against the Redskins.

  • Cardinals' Ricky Seals-Jones: Posts season high in receiving yardage

Seals-Jones caught five of six targets for 69 yards during Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Vikings.

Seals-Jones set a new season high in receiving yardage and came within three of his career best, thanks in large part to a long gain of 40 yards. He tied for second on the team in catches while trailing only Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk in targets. Seals-Jones was held without a catch last week against the 49ers, but he was targeted six times in the game and seems to be in good standing after this bounce-back performance. He could be emerging as a useful option for an evolving Cardinals offense and will look to build on this effort Thursday against the Broncos.

  • Jesse James TE | LV

Steelers' Jesse James: Five catches in win

James had five receptions for 26 yards during Sunday's 28-21 win over Cincinnati.

His seven targets were the most in a game this season and is averaging 16.1 yards per catch after averaging no better than 8.7 YPC in any of his previous seasons. Following a Week 7 bye, James will face a tough Cleveland defense that has held opposing tight ends to an average of three catches for 29 yards and no touchdowns in five out of six games this season. Keep in mind, however, that the Browns have faced several teams who don't actively seek out the position on offense.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Bengals' C.J. Uzomah: Catches six balls in loss

Uzomah caught six of seven targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to Pittsburgh.

Uzomah ranked third on the team in catches, targets and receiving yards. Unsurprisingly, wide receivers A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd finished ahead of the tight end in all three categories. Uzomah and the Bengals will face Tennessee in Week 7.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Scores first touchdown Sunday

Njoku caught seven passes (12 targets) for 55 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Chargers.

Njoku was able to find the end zone for the first time in 2018 when he went up and caught an underthrown ball on a fade route from Baker Mayfield in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. This could be a sign of big things to come for the second-year tight end, as not only did Mayfield target him in the red zone again, but his 22 targets over the past two games leads the team. Njoku and Mayfield will look to continue their rapport next Sunday against Tampa Bay.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Inactive for Week 6

Vannett (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Vannett's presence on the inactive list comes as a surprise after coach Pete Carroll said just two days earlier that the third-year player would be available for the London game. With Vannett sidelined for at least this week and Will Dissly (knee) on injured reserve, the Seahawks are suddenly thin at tight end. Darell Daniels and Tyrone Swoopes -- both of whom were members of Seattle's practice squad less than two weeks ago -- will represent the team's only options at the position in Week 6.

  • Tyler Kroft TE | MIA

Bengals' Tyler Kroft: May need foot surgery

Kroft, who is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, is dealing with a fractured bone in his right foot and could require surgery, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

According to Schefter, Kroft has already ruled himself out for the Bengals' Week 7 contest against the Chiefs and will meet with a specialist over the next two weeks to determine whether he can play through the injury. If Kroft needs surgery to address the matter, it would likely end his season and make him the second Bengals tight end to land on injured reserve after Tyler Eifert (ankle) was shut down. With Kroft out for at least the next two games, C.J. Uzomah is locked in as the Bengals' primary option at the position.

  • A.J. Derby TE | MIA

Dolphins' A.J. Derby: Inactive Week 6

Derby (foot) is inactive for Sunday's Week 6 tilt against the Bears.

The 27-year-old tight end will thus miss his third straight contest, leaving rookie Mike Gesicki at the helm of the position once again Week 6.
