  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Expected to practice fully Tuesday

Coach Pat Shurmur said Engram (knee) would go "full speed" at Tuesday's practice and could play Thursday against the Eagles, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.

Engram has missed the Giants' last two games while recovering from an MCL sprain of his right knee, but it sounds like he'll amp up his activity Tuesday after he was listed as a limited participant in Monday's estimated practice report. If Engram's involvement in practice Tuesday indeed registers as full participation -- as Shurmur seems to imply -- it would likely remove much of the doubt about his status for Week 6. Rhett Ellison, who has hauled in five receptions for 46 yards across the past two games, would likely see his snap count take a substantial hit if Engram is cleared to play against Philadelphia, Meanwhile, wide receiver Sterling Shepard likely wouldn't see a dramatic decrease in his snaps, but would become a lower-priority option in the passing game if Engram is back in the fold.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Scores first career touchdown

Hill gained 23 yards on five carries, including a one-yard touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for 43 yards in Monday night's win against the Redskins.

The Saints' third-string "quarterback" was up to his old tricks again, lining up at quarterback, running back, wideout and returner in the primetime affair. Hill's third-quarter touchdown -- the first of his NFL career -- put the exclamation point on the blowout victory. At this point, Hill's presence on the field is less of a gimmick and more of an expected personnel package, particularly in the red zone. Hill may end up swiping a few more scores from the likes of Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara and even Drew Brees, but there should continue to be plenty of points and touches to go around in the Saints' generous offense. Hill played just 14 offensive snaps Monday, so he probably does not need to be owned in most standard leagues, especially with the Saints on bye in Week 6, but he remains an option for needy fantasy owners in two-quarterback leagues.

  • Titans' Anthony Firkser: Promoted to active roster

The Titans promoted Firkser to the 53-man roster Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Firkser was waived by the Titans in September before joining the team's practice squad soon after. He's appeared in one game this year, and will likely provide depth at tight end behind Jonnu Smith and Luke Stocker.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Sees just two targets in second straight

Goedert caught both of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Vikings.

Both of Goedert's catches came on successive second-quarter drives, but he wasn't heard from again in the game. The rookie saw a slight uptick in snaps from Week 4, with 35 total or 59 percent, good for fourth-most among Eagles pass catchers. Still, it didn't result in many opportunities for the 23-year-old. He'll shoot for a better day against the Giants in Week 6.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: May return for Thursday's game

Coach Pat Shurmur said Engram (knee) has a chance to return for Thursday's game against the Eagles.

Engram was listed as limited on the Giants' injury report Monday, marking the first time he would have been allowed to practice since spraining the MCL in his right knee Week 3. He'll take the practice field in some capacity Tuesday and Wednesday to get a gauge on whether an appearance is possible Thursday. Engram's replacement in the starting lineup, Rhett Ellison, was listed as a non-participant Monday due to a sore foot, so the Giants may need the services of the former this week, even if he's at less than 100 percent.

  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Ravens' Hayden Hurst: Avoids setbacks in NFL debut

Hurst made it through Sunday's 12-9 loss to the Browns without any setbacks, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Held out for the first four weeks of the season while recovering from foot surgery, Hurst finally made his NFL regular-season debut Sunday in Cleveland, catching one of his two targets for seven yards while playing just 24 percent of the snaps on offense. The Ravens had four tight ends fall between 24 and 45 percent in snap share, deploying a committee with Hurst, Nick Boyle, Mark Andrews and Maxx Williams. There's long-term potential for a three-down role, but Hurst will have a hard time breaking free of the committee as a rookie, given that Boyle, Andrews and Williams have all been solid contributors this season.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Catches just two of four targets

Higbee played 53 of 80 offensive snaps but caught just two of his four targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 33-31 win over Seattle.

Higbee continues to receive more playing time than fellow tight end Gerald Everett (16 offensive snaps), but Everett is making more of an impact in the passing game. If Brandin Cooks (concussion) and Cooper Kupp (concussion) are forced to miss time, or are limited, there could be more targets to go around. However, at this stage of the game, Higbee should still be viewed as an unreliable fantasy asset.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Rams' Gerald Everett: Catches three passes against Seattle

Everett caught all three of his targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 33-31 win over the Seahawks.

Not only did the second-year tight end make the most of his 16 offensive snaps Sunday, Everett could also be in line for more work in the passing attack if Brandin Cooks (concussion) and Cooper Kupp (concussion) are forced to miss time. It's still a wait-and-see situation for now, and tight end Tyler Higbee (53 offensive snaps) also continues to receiving more playing time than Everett, so fantasy expectations should remain tempered.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Makes three catches Sunday

Vannett hauled in three of four targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Rams.

Vannett logged 50 of 60 offensive snaps, as he was one of two healthy tight ends. The other, Darrell Daniels was promoted from the practice squad earlier in the week. Vannett's fantasy value remains low with just 18 targets and no touchdowns over the first five weeks.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Plays through knee injury

Kittle suffered a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com.

It is unclear when Kittle suffered the injury, but he was able to stay in the game and finish with 83 yards on five receptions. Unless he suffers a setback, the athletic tight end's status for next week's matchup against the Packers doesn't appear to be in jeopardy. Expect more clarification when injury reports are released later this week.
