  • MarQueis Gray TE | MIA

Dolphins' MarQueis Gray: Returns to practice Thursday

Gray (hip) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Gray missed Wednesday's practice due to a hip injury he sustained last Sunday against the Chiefs. His availability in any capacity Thursday certainly bodes well for his chances of suiting up for the season finale Sunday against the Bills.

  • Marcedes Lewis TE | DEN

Jaguars' Marcedes Lewis: Doesn't practice Thursday

Lewis (ankle) failed to practice Thursday.

Though Lewis wasn't expected to take part in the Jaguars' first practice of the week Wednesday, he ended up being a limited participant. That makes it somewhat surprising that Lewis was downgraded to a non-participant in Thursday's session, but his level of involvement Friday will ultimately dictate whether or not he carries an injury designation into the Week 17 matchup with the Titans. The Jaguars are solidified as the AFC's No. 3 seed for the postseason, so there's reason to believe Lewis' reps might be limited even if he's given the green light to play in the regular-season finale.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Doesn't practice Thursday

Engram (ribs) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.

As he recovers from bruised and sore ribs on his left side, Engram has yet to practice this week. However, he fit in some work on an elliptical bike Thursday, a sign he's attempting to gain clearance from the team's training staff. Friday's practice will mark his last shot to make an impression on the team in advance of Sunday's game against the Redskins.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: No contact work Thursday

Engram (ribs) wasn't taking part in team drills during the portion of Thursday's practice made available to the media and was instead working out on a bike, Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports.

Engram was listed as a non-participant in the Giants' first practice of the week when he was also restricted to bike work, so it appears he'll go down as a DNP again when the team releases its Thursday injury report. Since Engram is merely dealing with bruising to his ribcage than any sort of fracture, he's hopeful to suit up in the Giants' season finale against the Redskins, but he may need to practice in some capacity Friday in order for that to happen.

  • Troy Niklas TE | TB

Cardinals' Troy Niklas: No go Wednesday

Niklas (ankle) didn't partake in practice Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Niklas has yet to practice since injuring his ankle Week 15 at Washington. Until he does so, he doesn't appear to be a candidate to take the field Sunday in Seattle. If he logs another absence, Jermaine Gresham and Ricky Seals-Jones will hold down the fort at tight end.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: No practice Wednesday

Graham (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The Seahawks offense has fallen flat the last two contests, but Graham's barren stretch actually extends one game further. Commanding an immense six targets during that three-game stretch, he redeemed himself Sunday at Dallas with a second-quarter touchdown, his first and only catch of Week 16. He may log another "rest" day Thursday before making an appearance Friday, after which his status for the regular-season finale will be revealed.

  • MarQueis Gray TE | MIA

Dolphins' MarQueis Gray: Misses practice Wednesday

Gray (hip) did not practice Wednesday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Gray had to leave the game Sunday versus the Chiefs due to the injury, and his status for Week 17 against the Bills is still in question. On the season, Gray only has one reception for 10 yards, so it would seem unlikely that he will be missed by fantasy owners.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Hopes to play Sunday

Engram (ribs), who didn't practice Wednesday, is hopeful that he'll play Sunday against the Redskins, Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports.

Engram was knocked out of the Week 16 loss to Arizona due to a rib injury. On Wednesday, he confirmed reports that his X-rays returned negative earlier this week and that he's merely dealing with bruising and discomfort within the ribs on his left side. In order to achieve his goal of suiting up this weekend, Engram would be best served with an appearance in practice Thursday and/or Friday, at which point the Giants will determine his potential availability for the season finale.

  • Ryan Hewitt TE | TEN

Bengals' Ryan Hewitt: Limited at practice Wednesday

Hewitt (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Hewitt's practice time was limited last week due to the same injury. The tight end ultimately avoided an injury designation and suited up for the Week 16 win over the Lions, so expect things to play out in a similar fashion ahead of the season finale against the Ravens.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Not practicing Wednesday

Engram (ribs) stretched with the team but didn't participate in the portion of Wednesday's practice made available to the media, Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports.

It looks as though Engram will be listed as a non-participant in the Giants' first official practice of the week, an unsurprising development given that he was unable to return to the Week 16 loss to the Cardinals after injuring his ribs. Fortunately for Engram, it appears follow-up scans have cleared him of any structural damage and revealed that he's just dealing with bruised ribs, leaving open the possibility of him playing in the season finale Sunday against the Redskins. Engram will probably need to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have a realistic chance at suiting up.
