Chris Manhertz TE | NYG
Panthers' Chris Manhertz: Enters concussion protocol
Manhertz suffered a concussion Sunday against the Falcons, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Manhertz left in the first quarter of Sunday's game and won't return. The 25-year-old tight end has just one reception for 11 yards this season, as he's mainly played second fiddle to Ed Dickson.

Jonnu Smith TE | PIT
Titans' Jonnu Smith: Won't start with Walker active
Smith will likely continue in his normal backup role Sunday against the Ravens with starting tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) active for the contest.
With Walker toughing it out with a bone bruise in the ankle, Smith doesn't have quite the clear path to targets that he would have if his veteran counterpart had been unavailable. If Walker is limited at all or suffers any setbacks during the contest, Smith could see an uptick in snaps, but relying on such an outcome would be a hunch play for fantasy lineups.

Vince Mayle TE | BAL
Ravens' Vince Mayle: Active for Week 9
Mayle (concussion) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Mayle faced no limitations at practice Friday and appears clear of the concussion he suffered last Thursday. The 26-year-old should serve as the Ravens' third tight end with Ben Watson and Maxx Williams (ankle) both active Sunday.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Won't play Sunday
Ertz (hamstring) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Broncos, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Despite a declaration from head coach Doug Pederson that Ertz would suit up, the tight end didn't look good in pregame warmups, spurring the last-minute decision. With caution ruling the day, the Eagles will turn to Brent Celek and Trey Burton to man the tight end spot in Week 9.

Jonnu Smith TE | PIT
Titans' Jonnu Smith: Could start Sunday vs. Ravens
Smith could see an increased workload in Sunday's game against the Ravens if Delanie Walker (ankle) is unavailable, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Smith saw an increased workload in practice throughout the week with Walker sidelined until Friday's session. Walker is listed as questionable and could be at risk of missing the contest, which would vault the rookie third-round pick into an every-down role. If Walker is inactive, Smith might make for a decent streaming option against a Ravens defense that has given up six touchdowns to tight ends this season.

Vince Mayle TE | BAL
Ravens' Vince Mayle: Questionable to play
Mayle (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game agaist the Titans.
Mayle logged a full practice Friday, so he seems on track to be cleared from concussion protocol in time to play. If not, Gavin Escobar could see added snaps.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Carries questionable designation
Ertz (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
According to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said that Ertz will play Sunday, but the Eagles opted to list him on their injury report anyway, despite the tight end's participation in practice Friday. Unless Ertz's hamstring acts up over the weekend and presents issues for him in pregame warmups, he'll take the field and represent one of the top fantasy options at tight end in Week 9. Ertz has recorded a touchdown in each of the Eagles' last four contests.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Cleared to face Broncos
Ertz (hamstring) has been cleared to play Sunday against the Broncos, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Ertz was added to the Eagles' injury report Thursday as a limited participant, but his hamstring issue apparently isn't serious enough to warrant a questionable designation for Sunday's game. He'll take aim at a Denver defense that has allowed opposing tight ends to average six catches for 77.6 yards and 0.6 touchdowns on the season. Running backs and wide receivers, on the other hand, have been far less successful against Von Miller and company.
-
Jimmy Graham TE | NO
Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Full session Thursday
Graham (ankle) practiced fully Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Graham has bounced back from a brutal start to the season, hauling in 24 of 36 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns over the last five games. With his health not in question Week 9, he'll take on a Redskins defense Sunday that has given up 13.9 YPC and three scores to tight ends after seven contests.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Picks up hamstring injury
Ertz was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury.
Ertz was absent from the Eagles' first Week 9 injury report, so his addition Thursday could indicate a number of things. The most frightening would be a practice-related injury, but the team may also be giving him some rest due to the wear and tear that accompanies a typical NFL campaign. His listing Friday will forecast whether there's a chance he's among the Eagles' inactives Sunday against the Broncos.
