Colts tight end Dwayne Allen was optimistic Thursday that a hip injury would not keep him from playing Sunday against visiting Miami. But after being sidelined from practice on Friday, he has been listed as questionable.

Allen contributed a 20-yard touchdown reception to the Week 1 win over Oakland, but it was his only catch of the game.

Rams tight end Cory Harkey continued to practice despite a knee injury Friday, and is officially probable for Week 2 against the Falcons for Sunday's game. 

Jaguars starting tight end Marcedes Lewis is doubtful for the Sunday game in Oakland, the Florida Times-Union is reporting. Gus Bradley expressed hope that Lewis would recover from a calf injury in time to play in the season opener, but the tight end will apparently miss the second game as well.

Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis' (calf) status for Sunday against the Raiders in Week 2 remains uncertain, as he was unable to practice yet again Thursday. Lewis missed Week 1 due to this injury. 

After finding the end zone last week, Saints tight end Jimmy Graham will be looking to keep his momentum going heading into a Week 2 matchup at Tampa Bay.

Graham caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in the opening week of the season against Atlanta. He'll face a Tampa Bay defense that allowed 256 yards through the air in Week 1.

Graham has had a solid track record over the years against the Buccaneers, as he has racked up 18 catches for 271 yards over his previous three meetings against Tampa Bay. He's only scored once in five career games against the Buccaneers.

Graham was the first tight end selected in most Fantasy drafts this season, so it would be foolish not to start him in the second week of the season. He's the top-rated tight end heading into a favorable Week 2 matchup at Tampa Bay.

The Patriots were without tight end Zach Sudfeld for Thursday's game against the Jets in Week 2, due to a hamstring injury. Sudfeld suffered the injury in Week 1, and was questionable entering the game. 

Patriots tight end Zach Sudfeld is expected to miss Thursday's game against the Jets in Week 2 based on his participate in pre-game warmups, according to CSNNE.com. Sudfeld has been limited throughout the week in practice due to a hamstring injury suffered in Week 1. 

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is off to a tough start in his NFL career. The third-round pick in the 2013 draft did not practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday, so he could miss the Sunday game against Dallas, according to ESPN. He has been trying to overcome a knee injury.

Kelce was cleared to play in the Week 1 win over Jacksonville, but was not targeted in the game. He has been behind Anthony Fasano on the depth chart.

Texans tight ends Owen Daniels and Garrett Graham had a field day Week 1 against the Chargers, totaling nine catches for 94 yards and three touchdowns. Their good fortunes might continue Week 2 vs. Tennessee.

Tight ends have made 24 percent of the catches against the Titans since coach Mike Munchak became head coach in 2011, per John Parolin of ESPN Stats and Info. It is only the 17th-highest percentage in the league, however, those catches have accounted for 24 percent of the receiving yardage against Tennessee, the fourth-highest percentage in the league.

"You’ve just got to be disciplined with your eyes and know what routes the tight end runs," linebacker Zach Brown said. "The tight end really don’t run a lot of routes unless you’re Vernon Davis. Other than that, tight ends run two or three routes."

Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis (calf) is still not practicing, the Florida Times-Union reported on Thursday. Lewis did some running on Wednesday after Gus Bradley expressed optimism that he could return for the game Sunday at Oakland. But the longer he goes without participating in practice, the more the possibility grows that he will be unavailable.
