Dwelley made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Dwelley and Charlie Woerner signed similar contracts this offseason and will start the campaign as backups to Kyle Pitts. Dwelley played sparingly on offense in San Francisco, but he's a stout blocker and will be involved in Atlanta's running game, per Josh Kendall of The Athletic.

Woerner made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Woerner and Ross Dwelley signed similar contracts this offseason and will open the season as the primary backups to Kyle Pitts. Woerner has a strong blocking acumen and is expected to be heavily involved in the running game, per Josh Kendall of The Athletic. Woerner also has plenty of experience on special teams, playing 1,257 snaps over four seasons in San Francisco.

Stover made the Texans' initial 53-man roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Stover's healthy status likely played a role in his winning a roster spot, as the Texans waived/injured fellow tight end Teagan Quitoriano (calf) and released fullback/tight end Andrew Beck, who was dogged by a calf injury during the preseason. Stover currently lines up as the third tight end behind Dalton Schultz and Brevin Jordan.

Rogers was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Rogers joined the Eagles on Aug. 7 after being let go by the Commanders, catching two passes for 24 yards during the preseason. If the tight end clears waivers, he'll have a shot to return to Philadelphia's practice squad ahead of the 2024 campaign.

McKeon was released by Detroit on Tuesday.

McKeon played in nine regular-season games for the Cowboys last year but ended the campaign on IR due to an ankle injury. He signed a contract with the Lions in May and caught both his targets for 19 yards during the exhibition slate, but he didn't make the cut for the 53-man roster. Sam LaPorta (hamstring), Brock Wright and Parker Hesse will serve as Detroit's tight ends to open the campaign.

Mallory has made Indianapolis' 53-man roster.

Mallory missed time early in training camp due to a sore hamstring but is healthy as the regular season begins. Mallory appeared in 12 games as a rookie last season, and the 2023 fifth-round draft pick out of Miami caught 18 of 26 targets for 207 yards. Mallory will be part of a four-man committee at tight end that also includes Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree. The Colts are likely to split targets between the foursome.

Ogletree has made Indianapolis' 53-man roster.

With Jelani Woods (toe) out for the season on IR, Olgetree will be part of a four-man committee at tight end that also includes Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Will Mallory. Ogletree is probably the second or third receiving option among the quartet, with Alie-Cox primarily a blocking tight end.

The Jets waived Sefcik on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

Sefcik signed with New York as an undrafted free agent in May and caught two of five targets for 10 yards during the exhibition slate. He's a candidate to join the Jets' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Kuntz was waived by the Jets on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

Kuntz spent most of last season on New York's practice squad but did get work in one regular-season game, playing two offensive snaps and four special-teams snaps Week 18 against New England. The tight end out of Old Dominion could end up back on the Jets' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Pline was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday.

Pline joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Furman, but he was released along with fellow tight ends Logan Thomas and Eric Saubert as part of the team's final roster cuts Tuesday. With these three gone, Jake Tonges is currently set to serve as the lone backup behind starter George Kittle. Pline will now be subject to waivers, and, if he goes unclaimed, he'll be free to sign elsewhere ahead of the regular season.
