  • Nikola Kalinic TE | CHI

    Nikola Kalinic: Waived by Rams

Kalinic was waived by the Rams on Tuesday.

The tight end signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January after spending time on its practice squad last season. Kalinic last saw NFL regular-season action in 2022 with the Colts, when he played on 45 offensive snaps but did not catch a pass.

  • Cole Fotheringham: Cut by Las Vegas

The Raiders waived Fotheringham on Tuesday, per the team's official site.

Fotheringham signed a reserve/future contract with Las Vegas in January and was vying for a depth role at tight end on the team's roster, but he didn't make the cut. The 26-year-old had a decent performance during the exhibition slate, catching three of four targets for 31 yards. Fotheringham got into two regular-season contests with the Raiders last year, catching his only target for six yards.

  • Baylor Cupp TE | BAL

Baylor Cupp: Not in Chiefs' plans

Kansas City waived Cupp on Tuesday.

Cupp signed with the Chiefs as a rookie undrafted free agent back in April, but now they've decided to part ways with him. He'll have to look for his next opportunity to make an NFL roster elsewhere.

  • Tyler Davis TE | NE

Packers' Tyler Davis: Placed on IR

Davis (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve by the Packers on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

The tight end will have to reach an injury settlement with Green Bay to play in 2024. Davis has played more on special teams than offense during his three seasons with the Jaguars and Packers. The 2020 sixth-round pick missed all of 2023 with a torn ACL.

  • Kevin Rader TE | NO

Saints' Kevin Rader: Placed on IR

Rader (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Saints on Tuesday.

Rader is now set to miss the entirety of the 2024 season while nursing an undisclosed injury that he suffered during the preseason. If the tight end reaches an injury settlement with New Orleans, he'll be free to sign and play elsewhere. Otherwise, he'll now shift his focus to being ready to go for 2025.

  • Jordan Murray TE | CHI

    Jordan Murray: Cut by Indianapolis

The Colts waived Murray on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.

After being cut by the Texans at the end of training camp in 2023, Murray spent most of the season on the Colts' practice squad. He entered training camp competing for a depth spot at tight end, but he wasn't able to catch onto the 53-man roster after accruing three catches on four targets for 62 yards across three preseason games. Assuming he clears waivers, Murray could be invited to join the Colts' practice squad, or he could explore other opportunities elsewhere.

  • Mason Fairchild: Let go by New Orleans

Fairchild was waived by the Saints on Tuesday.

Fairchild caught three passes for 31 yards with the Saints during the preseason, but he ultimately didn't do enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. If the tight end clears waivers, he'll likely join the practice squad in New Orleans.

  • Eric Tomlinson TE | LAC

Eric Tomlinson: Cut loose by Indianapolis

The Colts released Tomlinson on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.

Tomlinson spent time on both the Ravens' and Colts' practice squads in 2023, though he was not elevated for a game. He stuck around with Indianapolis on a reserve/future contract in January in the hopes of making the 53-man roster as a depth tight end. Across three preseason games, Tomlinson accumulated two catches on four targets for 24 yards. He could be invited to stick around in Indianapolis on the practice squad, or he could look to a join a different team in need of tight end depth.

  • Hunter Kampmoyer: Waived by Denver

Kampmoyer was waived by the Broncos on Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.

Kampmoyer signed with the Broncos on Aug. 2, catching four passes while compiling 42 receiving yards during preseason. If he clears waivers, he'll likely join Denver's practice squad ahead of the 2024 season.

  • Mitchell Wilcox: Cut by New England

The Patriots cut Wilcox on Tuesday.

After spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Bengals -- during which he appeared in 48 regular-season games -- Wilcox signed with the Patriots in April. He was competing for a depth tight end role in training camp, but he only played in the first two preseason games, during which he recorded just two catches on five targets for nine yards. Given his previous experience, Wilcox should manage to catch on with another team either on the roster or practice squad.
