  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Activated off IR

Waller (hamstring) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, but the tight end is still listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Saints, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.comreports.

The Giants haven't officially removed Waller's injury designation, but it'd be strange to activate a player from injured reserve and then opt not to play him. While the offense hasn't generated a ton of yardage with Tommy DeVito at quarterback, Waller easily profiles as the team's best offensive weapon and certainly will help the rookie quarterback come Sunday, should he be active.

  • Stone Smartt TE | PHI

Chargers' Stone Smartt: Snares three passes

Smartt caught all three of his targets for 15 yards in Thursday's 63-21 loss to the Raiders.

With Donald Parham (shoulder) out, Smartt saw a jump in playing time and benefitted to the tune of a career-high three receptions, but the massive blowout also played a factor in the extra workload. It's hard to imagine Smartt being utilized frequently, so long as Parham and Gerald Everett are both healthy.

  • Josh Pederson TE | JAC

    Jaguars' Josh Pederson: Elevated Saturday

Pederson was elevated to the Jaguars' active roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

This marks the third straight week Pederson has been promoted from the practice squad. He has primarily served as a special teams option, playing seven (22 percent) and six (18 percent) snaps there in the previous two games. He will presumably see a similar role versus the Ravens.

  • Drew Sample TE | CIN

Bengals' Drew Sample: Set to face Vikings

Sample (illness) is listed as active for Saturday's game against the Vikings.

Sample was a late addition to the Bengals' Week 15 injury report, but he'll give it a go Saturday and will continue to log tight end reps along with Tanner Hudson, Mitchell Wilcox and Irv Smith. In 13 games this season, Sample has logged a 14/97/2 receiving line on 17 targets, a pace that limits his fantasy utility to deep formats.

  • Ross Dwelley TE | CAR

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Missing another game

Dwelley (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Dwelley is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, and he wasn't able to practice at all this week. He also missed last Sunday's win over the Seahawks, giving Brayden Willis the chance to see his first action since Week 4. Dwelley's Week 15 absence won't set off many alarms in fantasy circles, as he's made just one catch (on two targets) over 12 games this season.

  • Geoff Swaim TE | CLE

Cardinals' Geoff Swaim: Chance to play Sunday

Swaim (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Swaim finished the week as a limited practice participant after not participating in the two previous sessions. If he's unable to suit up Sunday, Elijah Higgins and Blake Whiteheart will provide backup support at tight end behind starter Trey McBride.

  • Stephen Anderson: Back to practice squad

Anderson reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Friday.

Anderson played a season-high 25 snaps on special teams Thursday and registered an assisted tackle on a punt return. Since the blowout loss to the Raiders was the third time Anderson has been elevated this season, the Chargers will have to sign him to the active roster if they wish to utilize him again this season.

  • Jaguars' Brenton Strange: Chance to play versus Baltimore

Strange (foot) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Strange was a limited participant in all three practices this week and has a chance to return from a two-game absence. If he does play, he'll return to his role operating on special teams and as a run-blocking tight end behind Evan Engram and Luke Farrell.

  • Josh Whyle TE | GB

Titans' Josh Whyle: Won't be available vs. Texans

Whyle (knee) is out for Sunday's game versus the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Whyle will be sidelined for his second straight contest Sunday due to a knee injury he sustained in Week 13 versus the Colts. Trevon Wesco projects to see an uptick in snaps in Whyle's absence.

  • Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Cleared to face Dallas

Kincaid (thumb/shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Kincaid appeared to injure his shoulder in the second half against Kansas City last week, but he's avoided a serious issue on that front as well as with his listed thumb injury and is good to go for Week 15. Despite Dawson Knox's return from injured reserve this past Sunday, Kincaid still saw eight targets and played 78 percent of the Bills' offensive snaps.
