  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Jets' Tyler Conklin: Blanked in Week 8 win

Conklin didn't catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.

Conklin had at least three catches in each of the previous five games, but he didn't account for any of Zach Wilson's 17 completions in the overtime victory. His two targets matched the combined total of C.J. Uzomah and Jeremy Ruckert, so Conklin remains the top pass catching option among the Jets' tight ends heading into a Week 9 home game against the Chargers on MNF.

  • C.J. Uzomah TE | PHI

Jets' C.J. Uzomah: Only catch by a TE in Week 8

Uzomah caught his only target for 19 yards in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.

Uzomah was the only tight end to log a catch for the Jets in this one, as Tyler Conklin and Jeremy Ruckert combined for zero receptions on three targets. Uzomah has yet to see more than two targets in a game this season.

  • Trey McBride TE | ARI

Cardinals' Trey McBride: Excels in starting role

McBride hauled in 10 of his 14 targets for 95 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Baltimore.

McBride absorbed veteran Zach Ertz's (quadriceps) targets after the latter was placed on injured reserve following last week's loss to Seattle. The end result was a career game for McBride, who upped his season receiving line to 25-265-1 through eight weeks. The 2022 second-round pick generated the exact same amount of receiving yards and touchdowns as a rookie, but he needed twice as many games to reach those totals in 2022. Ertz will miss Arizona's next three games at a minimum, opening the door for McBride to provide fantasy value until the veteran returns, beginning with next Sunday's tilt against Cleveland.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Modest production as QB struggles

Kelce finished with six receptions on nine targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Broncos.

Patrick Mahomes turned the ball over three times while failing to score a touchdown Sunday, resulting in down games for most of Kansas City's position players. Kelce still produced a useful fantasy line despite his quarterback's struggles, but it felt like a down game after the star tight end combined for 31 receptions, 370 yards and two touchdowns over the previous three weeks. Kelce and the entire Chiefs offense will look to rebound as they prepare for a potential shootout against the Dolphins in Germany next Sunday.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Finds end zone again in Week 8 win

Andrews caught four of five targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Cardinals.

Andrews scored from five yards out in the first quarter for his third touchdown in the last two games and sixth of the season. The tight end tied running back Justice Hill for the team lead in receiving yards as Baltimore went with a run-heavy approach that included three rushing touchdowns from Gus Edwards. Andrews has caught between four and six passes in every appearance this season heading into a Week 9 home game against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Career-best showing in loss

Kittle brought in nine of 11 targets for 149 yards in the 49ers' 31-17 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.

The prolific tight end led the 49ers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, with all his figures also qualifying as season highs. Kittle has an abundant 18 targets over the last pair of contests, and his performance Sunday offered a vivid reminder of the upside he possesses when he's freed up to operate more as a receiver than blocker. Kittle and the 49ers return to action in a Week 10 road matchup against the Jaguars following a Week 9 bye.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Strong showing in Week 8 win

Hockenson caught six of nine targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Packers.

The tight end's big day was punctuated by a two-yard TD from Kirk Cousins in the third quarter. Unfortunately for Hockenson and the rest of Minnesota's receiving options, Cousins suffered what's feared to be a season-ending Achilles tear late in Sunday's contest. With Nick Mullens (back) on IR for at least one more game, that will likely leave fifth-round rookie Jaren Hall under center in Week 9 against the Falcons.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: Inactive against Bears on SNF

Everett (hip) is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Bears.

Despite practicing fully Friday, Everett came down to a game-time decision and has ultimately been ruled out. In Everett's absence, additional opportunities at tight end should be available for Donald Parham, with Stone Smartt and Tre' McKitty possibly sliding into larger roles as well. Everett's next chance to play will come on MNF against the Jets in Week 9.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Finds end zone again

Tremble caught two of three targets for four yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 15-13 win over the Texans.

The third-year tight end elevated to catch a one-yard TD from Bryce Young late in the first quarter, Tremble's second score of the season. Those are also his only two red-zone targets of the year, but with Young showing signs of progress in recent weeks and veteran TE Hayden Hurst offering little as a pass catcher, Tremble could work his way into a bigger role in the offense over the second half.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Jaguars' Evan Engram: Ten catches in Week 8 win

Engram caught all 10 of his targets for 88 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Steelers.

Engram has seen plenty of volume throughout the season, but the tight end has yet to find the end zone while doing most of his damage near the line of scrimmage. He led the Jaguars in receiving yards in this game and set a season high in that category, but Engram also lost a fumble in the red zone. Heading into Jacksonville's Week 9 bye, the tight end has 51 catches for 434 yards on 61 targets.
