  • Texans' Teagan Quitoriano: Exits game with groin injury

Quitoriano (groin) is questionable to return for Sunday's contest against the Panthers, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Quitoriano has provided the Texans with depth at tight end behind Dalton Schultz while also playing on special teams. If Quitoriano is unable to return, that would leave Houston with just Schultz at the position for the rest of the contest.

  • Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Won't return Sunday

Calcaterra (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Calcaterra left Sunday's game and was being evaluated for a concussion. He's been mostly used on special teams this season and has not accrued a target over the first seven games.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Injures hamstring Sunday

Waller was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with a hamstring injury.

Before his departure from the contest, Waller caught one of his two targets for four yards. With Waller done for the day, Daniel Bellinger is slated to handle the Giants' Week 8 tight end duties.

  • Cole Turner TE | MIA

Commanders' Cole Turner: Won't play Week 8

Turner (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Eagles.

Turner played in the first seven games of the season and has accrued eight catches on 12 targets for 82 yards while also contributing on special teams. The Commanders will operate with two tight ends -- Logan Thomas and John Bates -- for Week 8.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Saints' Jimmy Graham: Won't suit up Sunday

Graham (illness) is out for Sunday's contest against the Colts, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

Graham popped up on the injury report after logging a limited practice session Thursday. Luckily for the Saints, tight ends Juwan Johnson (calf) and Taysom Hill (calf) will play in Sunday's game, so the lost depth of Graham will be mitigated.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Cleared to play Sunday

Waller (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Waller was a limited participant in practice Wednesday through Friday and took a questionable tag into the weekend, but the veteran tight end never appeared in any real danger of sitting out Sunday. With Daniel Bellinger being the lone other active tight end Week 8, Waller should be in store for his typical allotment of snaps while also serving as one of the top pass-catching options for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. While Taylor started both of the previous two contests in place of Daniel Jones (neck), Waller compiled a 12-141-1 receiving line on 15 targets.

  • Nick Muse TE | LAR

Vikings' Nick Muse: Won't play Sunday

Muse (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 8 contest in Green Bay.

Muse is a healthy scratch with all of T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt active and ahead of him on the TE depth chart. Muse has yet to play in a game this season, and his next chance to make his 2023 debut will come next Sunday in Atlanta.

  • Packers' Luke Musgrave: Suiting up Sunday

Musgrave (ankle) is listed as active Sunday against the Vikings.

Musgrave departed the Packers' Week 7 loss at Denver in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury and afterward was spotted with a walking boot on his left foot. He was unable to practice until Friday, when he was a limited participant, and a questionable listing for Week 8 ensued. Coach Matt LaFleur was impressed with Musgrave's recovery as of Friday, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site, and the rookie second-round pick now is well enough to make himself available Sunday. There's a chance that Musgrave can't handle his typical workload, though, which could mean more reps for fellow tight ends Tucker Kraft and Josiah Deguara.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: True game-time decision

Everett (hip) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Everett and wideout Joshua Palmer (knee) are both officially listed as questionable, but the statuses of both players will come down to a pregame workout. That said, the Chargers are reportedly less optimistic about Everett's chances of playing than Palmer's. A decision on Everett's status will be made official when the Chargers release their inactive list roughly 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. If Palmer is unable to go, Donald Parham will have a clear path to the top tight end role.

  • Eric Saubert TE | SEA

Cowboys' Eric Saubert: Promoted to active roster

The Cowboys elevated Saubert to the active roster Saturday.

Saubert joined the Cowboys' practice squad Tuesday after being let go with an injury settlement by the Dolphins on Sept. 6. He had a tryout with the Steelers on Oct. 3, but he ultimately landed in Dallas three weeks later. If he suits up for Sunday's contest against the Rams, he'll provide an additional depth piece at tight end alongside Luke Schoonmaker and Sean McKeon.
