Jimmy Graham TE | NO
Saints' Jimmy Graham: Catches first TD of 2023
Graham caught his only target for eight yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 18-17 defeat to the Packers.
Graham scored a vintage red-zone touchdown with his first target of the 2023 campaign, going up for an eight-yard reception in the end zone during the first quarter. The 36-year-old fulfilled a larger role with usual TE2 Foster Moreau (ankle) inactive Week 3. However, Graham still logged three fewer targets than starting tight end Juwan Johnson, and he also saw as many targets as hybrid tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill. Graham's touchdown is likely indicative of how New Orleans would like to use him this season, though he's still unlikely to see significant or consistent playing time unless Moreau remains sidelined moving forward.

Juwan Johnson TE | NO
Saints' Juwan Johnson: Held in check by Green Bay
Johnson hauled in two of four targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 18-17 defeat to the Packers.
Johnson logged five or fewer targets for the third game in a row despite the absence of Foster Moreau (ankle). Still, the starting tight end finished with fewer targets than only wideouts Chris Olave (11) and Michael Thomas (nine). He also lost out on the Saints' only red-zone scoring opportunity, as backup tight end Jimmy Graham instead caught an eight-yard touchdown pass on his lone target of the game in the first quarter. Johnson did log three targets after backup quarterback Jameis Winston stepped in for starter Derek Carr, who was forced out in the third quarter and did not return after suffering what's believed to be a right AC sprain, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Johnson's role and usage as TE1 don't figure to fluctuate much if Carr ends up missing time moving forward with this injury.

Travis Kelce TE | KC
Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Leading receiver in easy win
Kelce turned eight targets into seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Bears.
Kelce brought his A-game to Arrowhead Stadium with pop star Taylor Swift in attendance for Sunday's blowout victory, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Kelce -- a star in his own right -- wound up leading the team in receiving while cashing in his second touchdown in as many games this season. More importantly, the 33-year-old showed no limitations from the knee injury that forced him to miss Week 1. Kelce's growing fanbase can find him and the Chiefs taking on the Jets on Sunday Night Football in Week 4.

Mark Andrews TE | BAL
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Plays secondary role
Andrews recorded four receptions on five targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts.
With Odell Beckham (ankle) sidelined, targets were expected to condense in Baltimore with Andrews being a primary candidate to see significant volume. Instead, Zay Flowers led the team with 10 targets while Andrews finished a distant second. It's been an uneven start to the new season, as he missed Week 1 with an injury of his own and now has nine receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown across two contests since.

Evan Engram TE | DEN
Jaguars' Evan Engram: Leads air attack in loss
Engram brought in seven of eight targets for 67 yards in the Jaguars' 37-17 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
Engram led the Jaguars' pass catchers across the stat sheet with his second straight solid performance. The veteran tight end recorded season highs in receptions and receiving yards while also tying his high-water mark in targets, as he essentially continues in the same robust role he enjoyed in 2022. Engram's next opportunity to build on his early season momentum comes in a Week 4 matchup versus the Falcons in London.

T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Racks up 11 targets
Hockenson recorded eight receptions on 11 targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Chargers.
Hockenson has been heavily reliant upon volume for production early this season, and that trend continued Sunday. He finished second on the team in targets but tallied only two catches that went for more than 10 yards. Hockenson will remain a must-start fantasy option as long as he holds such a key role in the offense -- he has at least eight looks in all three games this season. On the other hand, his production relative to his opportunity has been unimpressive, as he's averaging only 6.4 yards per target on the campaign while racking up 179 total yards.

Sam LaPorta TE | DET
Lions' Sam LaPorta: Continues to impress
LaPorta caught eight of 11 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Falcons.
LaPorta got wide open for a 45-yard touchdown during the second quarter, marking the first end-zone trip of his bright young career. The rookie second-rounder has increased his targets and yardage in each week this season, emerging as an immediate contributor behind top wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown in the passing game. With his stock on the rise, LaPorta faces a quick turnaround ahead of Thursday night's game at the Packers.

Hunter Henry TE | NE
Patriots' Hunter Henry: Ties for team lead in targets
Henry caught two of five targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Jets.
Henry briefly exited the game in the second half due to an undisclosed injury but was able to return, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. After finding the end zone in each of New England's first two games, Henry saw fellow tight end Pharaoh Brown score the team's only touchdown in this game. Offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien has a history of prominently featuring tight ends, and that has certainly been the case this season, though Henry faces competition for touches at the position from both Brown and Mike Gesicki. Henry's five targets tied wide receiver Kendrick Bourne for the team lead, and he should remain among the top targets for Mac Jones in Week 4 against Dallas.
-
Luke Musgrave TE | GB
Packers' Luke Musgrave: Leads team in catches
Musgrave caught six of eight targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Saints.
Musgrave was Green Bay's lone source of offense for about three quarters, which ultimately saw him lead the team in receptions. Although his output could have been better had quarterback Jordan Love not missed him on a wide-open seam route during the first half, Musgrave has quickly offered the Packers a quality option at tight end while securing 11 of 15 targets thus far.

Kyle Pitts TE | ATL
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Season-high nine targets in loss
Pitts caught five of nine targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Lions. He also rushed once for minus-4 yards.
Pitts led the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards, but it still wasn't the breakout performance fantasy managers were hoping for. If the tight end starts to see this type of volume on a weekly basis, he'll quickly reassert himself as a must-start player moving forward. However, it's worth noting that this was only the third time in Pitts' career that he's garnered nine or more targets. Pitts continues to have immense real-world talent, but he's been a frustrating fantasy option early in his career.
