  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Finds end zone

Knox recorded three receptions on five targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.

Knox saw a similar amount of opportunity as compared to Dalton Kincaid, though he was far less productive. The exception was that Knox found the end zone from two yards away early in the second quarter after shaking free from the attention of the Las Vegas secondary. Overall, his role seems to be strictly in the short areas of the field, so much of his fantasy production will have to come from reaching the end zone.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Slow start to 2023

Kittle hauled in all three of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Rams.

Kittle was held to three receptions for the second straight week, failing to score a touchdown in either contest. The star tight end got off to a similarly slow start in 2022 after returning from a groin injury before improving later in the season, so better days should be ahead if he follows that same timeline. Kittle's fantasy managers should maintain faith after two down games in hopes that he can finally pop off one of his signature big plays against the Giants on Thursday.

  • Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Consistent role in offense

Kincaid recorded five receptions on six targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.

Kincaid was heavily involved in the offense for the second consecutive game, and he now has 10 targets across two contests as a pro. Against the Raiders, he was regularly targeted by Josh Allen in the short areas of the field and also managed to show his ability to run after the catch to rack up additional yardage. The Bills appear willing to run a considerable amount of 12-personnel, allowing Kincaid to serve primarily as a receiver while Dawson Knox acts more as a traditional in-line tight end.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Seahawks' Noah Fant: Rings up 56 yards

Fant caught all four of his targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 37-31 overtime win versus the Lions.

Fant's afternoon was highlighted by a deep pass down the left sideline that gained 31 yards. The fifth-year pro's performance was a pleasant surprise after he wasn't targeted in Week 1. However, we shouldn't expect many more of these stat lines this year. After all, Fant topped 50 receiving yards in just one game last season.

  • Jake Ferguson TE | DAL

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Finds end zone in big win

Ferguson caught three of four targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.

After failing to do much on seven targets last week, Ferguson made a quick impact this time around, opening the scoring by catching a four-yard TD toss from Dak Prescott midway through the first quarter. The tight end nearly had a second touchdown later in the game, but Prescott made a rare bad throw Sunday and missed Ferguson in the back of the end zone on Dallas' first drive of the second half. While the TD could be the first of many for the second-year player in 2023, rookie Luke Schoonmaker also caught a one-yard TD in the win and Peyton Hendershot got a carry on a jet sweep near the goal line that he failed to score on, suggesting the Cowboys' tight end picture could be more of a committee than those with fantasy shares in Ferguson might like.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Jets' Tyler Conklin: Five grabs in Sunday's loss

Conklin caught five of six targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cowboys.

Aside from a 68-yard TD grab by Garrett Wilson (undisclosed), Conklin was the only Jets receiving option to make any kind of impact, as the veteran tight end gave QB Zach Wilson a reliable safety valve in the face of a relentless Dallas pass rush. Conklin doesn't have much of a fantasy ceiling, but his developing chemistry with his young quarterback could give him a solid floor in Week 3 against the Patriots.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Cardinals' Zach Ertz: Busy again in Week 2 loss

Ertz caught six of eight targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Giants.

The veteran tight end was once again one of Joshua Dobbs' most reliable options, tying Marquise Brown for the Cardinals' lead in receptions and tying rookie Michael Wilson for the team lead in receiving yards. While it's very early in the 2023 season, Ertz is on pace for his second career 100-catch campaign heading into a Week 3 clash with a Cowboys defense that just allowed the Jets' Tyler Conklin to post a 5-50-0 line on six targets.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Productive in win over Cards

Waller caught six of eight targets for 76 yards in Sunday's 31-28 win over Arizona.

He doubled his catch total from his Giants debut the week before, as the passing game finally sprung to life in the second half Sunday while the team overcame a 20-0 deficit. Waller tied Saquon Barkley (ankle) for the team lead in receptions, and Daniel Jones could look the tight end's way frequently again Thursday night against a 49ers defense that just gave up over 300 passing yards to Matthew Stafford without allowing a reception longer than 20 yards.

  • Robert Tonyan TE | PIT

Bears' Robert Tonyan: Targeted twice in defeat

Tonyan failed to catch either of his two targets in the Bears' 27-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

After being sidelined for the season opener, Tonyan made his Chicago debut as the secondary tight end option behind Cole Kmet. Even though it's unlikely than Tonyan challenges Kmet for regular targets, he could see a couple passes thrown his way in many games.

  • Cole Kmet TE | CHI

Bears' Cole Kmet: Another steady performance

Kmet caught four passes on six targets for 38 yards in the Bears' 27-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Kmet was third on the team with six targets after tying for the team lead with seven in Week 1. Although the Bears have not had much offensive success through two weeks, Kmet's volume could give him a reasonable weekly scoring floor.
