McCaffrey was held without a target in Sunday's 40-7 win over the Panthers.

McCaffrey was a complete non-factor Week 7, as the rookie was held without a reception for the first time since Week 2. The 23-year-old wideout played 26 of the Commanders' 69 offensive snaps Sunday, trailing fellow receiversTerry McLaurin (49), Noah Brown (42) and Olamide Zaccheaus (29). At this point, McCaffrey isn't seeing enough usage in Washington's passing attack to be in consideration for fantasy purposes.

Brown caught his only target for 16 yards in Sunday's 40-7 win over the Panthers.

Brown's one target and one catch in Week 7 were both season lows in the five games he's played so far in 2024. The 28-year-old wideout played the second-most snaps (42) in the contest among Commanders receivers, just behind Terry McLaurin (49). Brown has continued to see his role grow throughout the early part of the season, and it's possible that he could gain some fantasy appeal if he can make the most of his opportunities in Washington's passing attack. Brown might have difficulty taking a meaningful step forward in Week 8, however, as the Commanders could be without rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (ribs) when they square off against the Bears.

Hollins failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Titans.

Hollins was held without a catch for just the second time all season, yet the veteran wideout led all Buffalo wide receivers in offensive snaps (41). The arrival of new acquisition Amari Cooper, who saw five targets while playing just 19 snaps, certainly contributed to Hollins' decreased usage in the passing game. Going forward, Hollins will likely continue to see his role decrease as the Buffalo's No. 4 wideout. The 31-year-old will be hard to trust for fantasy purposes when the Bills visit the Seahawks in Week 8.

Strachan signed with the Commanders' practice squad Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver was waived by the Panthers in August after playing on 54 preseason snaps and catching one pass. Strachan has six catches for 130 yards and no touchdowns in 23 regular-season games across three seasons. The 2021 seventh-round pick's last catch came in 2023.

Whittington (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice session, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Whittington played through a shoulder injury during the Rams' Week 7 win over the Raiders, though he finished the game with zero targets. The rookie sixth-round pick was listed as a DNP on Monday's practice estimate, but he was able to see the field during Tuesday's session. Barring any setbacks, he should be good to go for Thursday's game against the Vikings, though Whittington would likely see his offensive snaps significantly decrease should Puka Nacua (knee) and/or Cooper Kupp (ankle) return.

Washington caught his only target for 14 yards during Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Seahawks.

Washington appeared in Weeks 3 and 5 but operated exclusively on special teams. He saw his first career offensive snaps during garbage time of Sunday's blowout loss and secured his lone target from fellow rookie Michael Penix. Washington remains behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge on Atlanta's wideout depth chart.

McCloud caught two of four targets for nine yards during Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Seahawks.

McCloud played more than 80 percent of Atlanta's offensive snaps for a sixth straight game but finished with a season-low nine yards. His fantasy upside remains limited, but McCloud is only seven yards away from tying his season-long, career-high mark of 277 receiving yards, which he set in 2021 with Pittsburgh.

Mooney secured five of eight targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Seahawks.

Mooney saw at least eight targets for the third time this season, but his 9.2 yards per reception in Week 7 was his second-lowest mark of the campaign. With Kirk Cousins at the helm, Atlanta's passing attack has been fruitful, and Mooney has benefitted. However, Mooney remains the WR2 behind Drake London, with RB Bijan Robinson and TE Kyle Pitts also seeing their fair share of work in the passing attack.

Samuel (illness) was discharged from a San Francisco-area hospital Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

The wideout had been admitted to the hospital Sunday, after he had played just four snaps against Kansas City before exiting the game when he experienced a buildup of fluid in his lungs. While Samuel's discharge is a positive sign, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the receiver is without a clear timeline to resume practicing or playing while he recovers from his bout of pneumonia. The 49ers' pass-catching corps could be down multiple key members Sunday against the Cowboys, as Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is out for the season, while receivers Jauan Jennings (hip) and Chris Conley (ankle), plus tight end George Kittle (foot), are viewed as day-to-day.

The Lions released Smith (undisclosed) from injured reserve Tuesday.

Smith was placed on the Lions' injured reserve during training camp due to an unspecified injury. He was set to miss the entire regular season, but his release from IR means he can sign with a team once he's fully healthy. Smith's last full season was in 2022 with the Saints, during which he caught 19 passes (on 27 targets) for 278 yards and one touchdown over 15 regular-season games.
