Wayne was cut from the Packers' practice squad Tuesday.

Wayne signed a practice squad deal with Green Bay after failing to get a spot on the 53-man roster. However, the team appears to want to go in a different direction with their wide receiver depth and signed T.J. Luther to their practice squad in a corresponding move.

The Browns cut Griffin from the practice squad Tuesday.

Griffin failed to make Cleveland's 53-man roster but began the season with a practice squad spot. Now, though, he's lost that spot to Kadarius Toney. Griffin will look to resurface on a practice squad somewhere in the league.

The Steelers signed Davis to the practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Davis spent time with the Saints during the preseason. Since going undrafted out of South Carolina State last season, Davis has yet to make his NFL debut. He'll now get a chance to continue his development in Pittsburgh.

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan labeled Jennings (ankle) as day-to-day after Monday's 32-19 win over the Jets, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Jennings played 35 of the 49ers' 72 offensive snaps in the victory, recording five receptions for 64 yards on five targets. Per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Jennings was slow to get up after making a third-down reception early in the third quarter, and he was in the blue medical tent for the 49ers' ensuing possession before later checking back into the contest. Though Jennings was able to finish out the game, the receiver still looks to be less than 100 percent, so his practice activity could be limited leading up to Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Luther signed with the Packers' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Luther was most recently with the Steelers during training camp but was unable to earn a roster spot. The 24-year-old has also had chances with the Jets and Patriots since going undrafted out of Gardner-Webb last spring.

Brown wasn't targeted on 12 routes in a 37-20 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Brown played 55 percent of snaps while rotating with Olamide Zaccheaus, who took 45 percent of snaps and caught one of three targets for 15 yards (on 13 routes). There's a good chance the two WRs continue to share playing time Week 2 against the Giants, but one or the other could potentially emerge as a full-time starter down the road.

Zaccheaus caught one of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss at Tampa Bay, playing 44.6 percent of snaps on offense.

Zacccheaus and Dyami Brown shared snaps at one receiver spot while Terry McLaurin mostly played out wide on the left side of the offense and Luke McCaffrey worked the slot. Zaccheaus ended up running 13 routes, which was one more than Brown, who finished without a target. Fantasy value, even in deep leagues, likely will require one of the two to pull away from the other and become a true starter rather than a snap sharer. It remains to be seen if that will happen Week 2 against the Giants or Week 3 against the Bengals.

Martin is slated to sign with the Titans' practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Martin spent time with the 49ers this offseason, and though he earned a spot on the team's initial practice squad, he was cut by the team early September. Now, Martin will get a chance to continue his development with Tennessee. Over the last two seasons, Martin appeared in three total games while playing primarily on special teams for San Francisco.

Turner caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers.

Turner logged only five offensive snaps in the season opener, but he caught a nine-yard pass from Gardner Minshew on third down to set up a 32-yard field goal on the Raiders' first drive of the fourth quarter. Turner remains the No. 4 option at wide receiver behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker ahead of a Week 2 matchup against the Ravens.

Tucker caught two passes for 22 yards on three targets in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers. He also returned two punts for 28 yards.

Playing 47 of 60 offensive snaps, Tucker was the clear No. 3 option at wide receiver behind Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers as the Raiders trailed for a majority of the second half, and rookie tight end Brock Bowers also seems ahead of him in the pecking order for targets. A similar game script could be employed in Week 2 against the Ravens, once again making Tucker a boom-or-bust candidate given his speed and big-play ability. Pedestrian quarterbacking play from Gardner Minshew will hold back the Raiders offense, however.
