Ross exited Thursday night's preseason game against the Patriots with a concussion and will not return, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Ross caught one of his two targets for nine yards prior to getting injured. It's the veteran wideout's lone catch of the preseason to date, and now he'll have to pass through the league's protocol if he's going to be cleared in time for the preseason finale versus Green Bay on Aug. 24.

After not playing in the Chargers' preseason opener, McConkey (undisclosed) is expected to play in Saturday's exhibition against the Cowboys, Gavino Borquez of USA Today reports.

McConkey dressed but didn't play last week, but that's expected to change this weekend after the rookie returned to full practice this week. He's expected to handle a starting role for the Chargers in 2024, but Joshua Palmer, DJ Chark and Quentin Johnston are also in the mix for snaps.

Thomas entered the league's concussion protocol Thursday, ESPN.com reports.

The 26-year-old wideout was injured in Wednesday's practice. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game after spending 2023 on Minnesota's practice squad.

Ross is being examined for a concussion during the Eagles' preseason game against the Patriots on Thursday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Ross has one catch for nine yards in the game. The wide receiver is competing for the Eagles' third wide receiver role behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Grant (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Falcons on Thursday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

The wide receiver needs to reach an injury settlement with the team in order to play this season. Grant signed with Atlanta on Saturday and was competing for a return-specialist role. The veteran last saw NFL action in 2021 with Chicago and Miami, recording 11 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

Jones (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

The wide receiver last practiced a week ago but was carted off after banging knees with a defender. Jones is competing for a role as a depth receiver and return man. The 2023 fourth-round pick caught seven passes for 64 yards and no scores as a rookie.

Coach Shane Steichen said Thursday that Pittman won't suit up for Saturday's preseason game versus the Cardinals, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Along with Pittman, the rest of the Colts' starters and No. 2 signal-caller Joe Flacco won't be available for the team's second exhibition. Assuming Josh Downs (ankle) also doesn't play, Indy's available wide receivers figure to be rookie second-rounder Adonai Mitchell, Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin (hamstring, if available), among others. In four pro seasons to date, Pittman has two 1,000-yard tallies on his resume, and he's posted 14 receiving touchdowns in 49 regular-season contests the last three campaigns.

Philips missed practice Thursday with a hamstring injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Philips has a history of hamstring issues after spending a good chunk of his 2022 rookie season on injured reserve with the same injury. He also missed time at the end of last season with a hamstring strain. Philips has also dealt with knee and shoulder injuries as a pro, missing a total of 23 regular-season games across two campaigns. Philips' spotty medical history and the fact he's missing time once again makes him an uncertain proposition for a roster spot.

Wilson is in the concussion protocol and wasn't available for Thursday's preseason game at New England, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Wilson entered the protocol following Tuesday's joint practice with the Patriots. Now that he's dealing with a head injury, his status will be up in the air ahead of the Eagles' exhibition finale Saturday, Aug. 24 against the Vikings. In one preseason contest to date, Wilson, a rookie sixth-round pick, recorded a seven-yard catch on three targets last Friday at Baltimore.

Brown (shoulder) missed practice Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The wide receiver has been out since early August with the injury, including missing Houston's preseason game against the Steelers on Aug. 9. Brown recorded a career-high 567 receiving yards in 2023 and is competing for the fourth wide receiver spot behind Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell and Nico Collins.
