  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Not practicing Thursday

Samuel (ribs) wasn't participating at the beginning of Thursday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Samuel wasn't entirely absent Thursday, as Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News noted the wide receiver made his way to the 49ers' weight room following a walkthrough session. Ultimately, the team's second practice report of Week 4 will unveil whether or not Samuel was able to log some reps as he deals with rib and knee injuries.

  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Comes down with illness

Smith didn't practice Thursday due to an illness.

Fortunately for Smith, he's come down with an illness in the middle of the week, giving him a few days to get back to normal before the Eagles' upcoming matchup with the Commanders on Sunday. His status for Week 4 may gain some clarity when Friday's practice report is posted, but if he ends up limited or sidelined this weekend, the likes of Quez Watkins (hamstring), Olamide Zaccheaus and Britain Covey (hamstring) could see increased reps on offense behind top wide receiver A.J. Brown.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Sheds non-contact jersey Thursday

Aiyuk (shoulder) wasn't wearing a non-contact jersey at the start of Thursday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Now that Aiyuk seemingly has been cleared to take contact on the practice field, it remains to be seen if he'll log his first uncapped session since injuring his left shoulder Week 2. The 49ers will reveal his activity level later Thursday, at which point the statuses of Deebo Samuel (ribs/knee) and Jauan Jennings (shin) also could gain some clarity.

  • Zay Jones WR | HOU

Jaguars' Zay Jones: Remains sidelined Thursday

    Jones (knee) didn't practice Thursday.

Per Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union, head coach Doug Pederson previously suggested that Jones looks like "a long shot" to play Sunday against the Falcons in London. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether the wideout has any chance to suit up versus Atlanta this weekend or is ruled out for the contest.

  • Jamal Agnew WR | ATL

    Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Limited Thursday

Agnew (quad) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Agnew was added to the injury report Thursday after not being included on it Wednesday, so his situation is worth monitoring headed into Friday and the weekend. The Jaguars take on the Falcons in Week 4. On 32 percent of the team's offensive snaps, Agnew has five catches for 54 yards on six targets and has rushed twice for minus-two yards. He has also returned four punts for 63 yards.

  • Allen Robinson WR | DET

Steelers' Allen Robinson: Back to limited practice Thursday

Robinson (ankle) was upgraded to a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Robinson was DNP Wednesday, so this puts him on track to play in Week 4 against the Texans. The Steelers' slot man, Robinson has turned 15 targets into a scoreless 11-100-0 receiving line after three games. He's not a high-percentage fantasy bet in a run-based offense.

  • Jonathan Mingo WR | DAL

Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Limited in practice again

Mingo (concussion) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Mingo's limited participation represents no change from Wednesday, suggesting he hasn't taken a tangible step forward in the past 24 hours as he navigates the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If the wideout practices fully Friday and is able to gain clearance from an independent neurologist, he should exit the protocol and have a good shot at playing Sunday versus the Vikings.

  • Treylon Burks WR | WAS

Titans' Treylon Burks: Misses practice Thursday

Burks (knee) didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Burks was limited during Wednesday's session, so his absence Thursday represents a step back in terms of activity. The Titans haven't revealed whether Burks' downgrade in participation was the result of a setback, or more a matter of the Titans managing the wideout's practice reps. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Burks approaches Sunday's game against the Bengals with an injury designation or is fully cleared to play.

  • Charlie Jones WR | CIN

Bengals' Charlie Jones: Misses another practice

Jones (thumb) didn't practice Thursday, Kelsey Conway of USA Today reports.

Jones has missed his second consecutive day of practice as he continues to deal with a thumb injury. Cincinnati's return man has accumulated 150 yards and one touchdown on eight returns through the first three games of the season. If the Purdue product were to miss Sunday's game against Tennessee, Trenton Irwin would likely assume punt-return duties.

  • Rashod Bateman WR | BAL

Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Idle for another practice

Bateman (hamstring) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Bateman hasn't taken part in either of the Ravens' first two Week 4 practices and will now have one more opportunity to fit in some on-field work prior to Sunday's game in Cleveland. With Odell Beckham (also) also sitting out a fifth consecutive practice, the Ravens' receiving depth could be tested this weekend if both he and Bateman fail to get the green light to play. Beyond No. 1 wideout Zay Flowers, the Ravens have Nelson Agholor and Devin Duvernay as their other healthy receivers on the 53-man roster.
