  • Seahawks' Marquise Goodwin: Questionable for Week 16

Goodwin (wrist/ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's contest in Kansas City, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Goodwin opened Week 16 prep with a full practice Tuesday before falling back to a limited session one day later. With wrist and ankle injuries in tow, his status for Saturday won't become known until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If Goodwin is able to gut through the health concerns and play, he'll be a part of the plan to replace fellow wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who underwent finger surgery Monday and will miss at least one game as a result.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Spotted jogging Thursday

Samuel (knee/ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice but was seen doing some jogging and running off to the side during the media-access portion of the session, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Samuel will be sidelined for a second straight game this Saturday against the Commanders, but based on where he currently stands in his recovery from a left MCL sprain and a left ankle sprain, he looks as though he'll have a chance to make it back for the 49ers' Week 17 game against the Raiders on Jan. 1. In order to put himself in consideration to play in Las Vegas, Samuel will presumably need to prove his health during the 49ers' trio of practices next Wednesday through Friday. While Samuel is out for the upcoming weekend, the 49ers will turn to Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud to pick up snaps at receiver alongside Brandon Aiyuk.

  • Nico Collins WR | HOU

Texans' Nico Collins: Won't play Saturday

Collins (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Titans.

Collins is slated to miss his third straight game, but Brandin Cooks (calf) is listed as questionable after practicing fully Wednesday and Thursday, while Chris Moore (foot) is questionable on the heels of limited sessions this week. Collins' next chance to rejoin the Texans' wideout corps for game action will arrive Jan. 1 against the Jaguars.

  • Devin Duvernay WR | ARI

Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Coach sheds light on injury

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed Thursday that Duvernay suffered a broken fifth metatarsal of his right foot during Tuesday's practice, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports. "[It was] out of the blue. He felt something [while running a route]," Harbaugh said. "We didn't know how serious is was or wasn't until later, and they got the X-rays back and it was just a broken fifth metatarsal."

Duvernay was shuttled to injured reserve just hours after suffering the injury, opening up a spot on the 53-man roster for waiver-wire pickup Sammy Watkins in the process. Harbaugh seemed to suggest that Duvernay won't need surgery to address the injury, with the coach noting that the receiver will have a chance to return for the Super Bowl, should the Ravens be able to make an improbable postseason run. For all intents and purposes, however, Duvernay's 2022 season can be considered over, with the Ravens set to move forward with Demarcus Robinson, DeSean Jackson, Watkins and James Proche as their available options at receiver

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Looking unlikely to play Week 16

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid suggested Thursday that Hardman (abdomen) isn't on track to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Saturday's game against the Seahawks, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports. "I'm not sure he's where he need to be," Reid said.

Reid's comments are an about-face from just two days earlier, when he told Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com that Hardman had a "good chance" of suiting up this weekend. The coach's change in tune isn't necessarily an indication that Hardman has hit a snag in his recovery from the abdominal injury; it's possible the receiver may just need to get in more practice reps as he attempts to regain conditioning following a six-week layoff. Assuming Hardman remains out for Week 16, the Chiefs will likely turn to a combination of Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore to rotate in alongside starting wideouts JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Dealing with groin issue

Brown (groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Brown is a mid-week addition to the Cardinals' injury report, as he's now tending to a groin issue. After spending Weeks 7 through 11 on IR due to a foot injury, he's dealt with health concerns in back-to-back weeks, with an illness impacting his on-field work during Week 15 prep. Brown still was able to suit up this past Sunday at Denver and log a typical 92 percent share of snaps en route to four catches (on eight targets) for 19 yards. In the end, Friday's report will reveal whether or not he goes into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers.

  • David Bell WR | CLE

Browns' David Bell: Cleared for Week 16

Bell (toe) doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Saints after being listed as a full practice participant Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Bell is thus slated to return to the mix after missing one game, but as the Browns' No. 3 wideout option behind Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones, the 2022 third-rounder brings modest fantasy upside to the table in Week 16. Over the course of 13 games, the Purdue product has hauled in 23 of his 31 targets for 196 yards.

  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

Browns' Amari Cooper: Cleared for Saturday's game

Cooper (rest/hip) doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Saints after logging a limited practice listing Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Cooper was listed as a 'DNP' on Tuesday and Wednesday's practice reports, as he continues to have his reps managed while he works through a hip issue. However, the Browns' top wideout will be available this weekend after having recorded a 73 percent snap share in the team's Week 15 win over the Ravens en route to catching four of his six targets for a team-high 58 yards in a contest in which QB Deshaun Watson threw for 161 yards.

  • Jerreth Sterns WR | LAR

    Jerreth Sterns: Lands practice-squad contract

The Rams signed Sterns to the practice squad Thursday.

Sterns spent the preseason with Tampa Bay but was waived as part of the team's final roster cuts in late August. The undrafted wideout from Western Kentucky will now look to work his way up from the active roster into the Rams' injury-ridden wide receiver corps.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Sidelined for Week 16

Olave (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Browns, Terrin Waack of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

New Orleans will have to get by without two of its starting receivers in Week 16, as neither Olave nor Jarvis Landry (ankle) will be available after both weren't able to practice Friday in any fashion. With the star rookie sidelined and the veteran slot man sitting out, the Saints are left with Rashid Shaheed, Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway as their likely starting receiver trio.
