Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Steelers' Chase Claypool: Throws touchdown pass vs. Eagles
Claypool secured four of six targets for 45 yards while completing his lone pass attempt for four yards and a touchdown during the Steelers' 35-13 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday.
Claypool's involvement as a receiver remained relatively consistent during Sunday's defeat, but he boosted his fantasy output with a rare passing touchdown on a creative play call in the first quarter. Over the last four games, the 2020 second-rounder has secured 21 of 30 targets for 232 yards and a touchdown catch.
-
Bryan Edwards WR | NO
Falcons' Bryan Edwards: Secures third pass of season
Edwards caught his only target for three yards during Sunday's 37-34 overtime victory against the Panthers.
Edwards saw a season-low three offensive snaps, but he caught his only target for three yards, marking his first reception since Week 5 and his third across six appearances. The 2020 third-round pick was expected to have a sizable role for Atlanta after being acquired from the Raiders this offseason, but he continues to find himself buried on the depth chart behind Drake London, Olamide Zaccheaus and now Damiere Byrd, who's totaled 142 yards and two scores across the Falcons' past two games.
-
Tyler Johnson WR | DAL
Tyler Johnson: Signed to Bucs' practice squad
Johnson was signed to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday.
Johnson will return to Tampa Bay after he played in 17 games with the team in 2021, reeling in 36 catches for 360 yards over those contests. With Russell Gage (hamstring) still banged up, it's possible that Johnson could be elevated to the active roster if Gage remains out. The wide receiver appeared in two games with the Texans this season, failing to garner a target over 28 offensive snaps.
-
Olamide Zaccheaus WR | ATL
Falcons' Olamide Zaccheaus: Only one catch in win
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 37-34 overtime victory versus Carolina.
Coming into the contest Zaccheaus had secured multiple receptions in each of the first seven games of the season, totaling 19 catches on 22 targets for 302 yards. However, he saw just one opportunity during Sunday's win as Kyle Pitts (nine), Damiere Byrd (six) and Drake London (five) saw more targets. Despite a strong start to the campaign, Zaccheaus' fantasy production was always likely to be limited, so it isn't surprising to see him finally submit a dud. The 5-foot-8 wideout will look to get back on track against the Chargers in Week 9.
-
Drake London WR | ATL
Falcons' Drake London: Four receptions in win
London reeled in four of five targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 37-34 overtime win over the Panthers.
London was on the field for 59 offensive snaps, most among Atlanta's wideouts, and he finished second on the team in receptions. However, he turned those catches into a modest 31 yards, with the majority of his production coming on a 17-yard catch late in the fourth quarter. After securing 16 of 25 targets for 214 yards and two scores across the first three games of his career, the rookie has mustered just 14 receptions for 132 yards over his last five appearances. London will look to get back on track against the Chargers in Week 9.
-
Ben Skowronek WR | PIT
Rams' Ben Skowronek: One catch in defeat
Skowronek caught his only target for 10 yards in the Rams' 31-14 loss to the 49ers in Week 8.
With the return of Van Jefferson on Sunday, Skowronek saw a slight drop in his offensive workload, recording a season-low one reception in the loss. The 25-year-old has now slipped into the No. 4 receiver role, limiting his upside moving forward.
-
Van Jefferson WR | WAS
Rams' Van Jefferson: Zero targets in return
Jefferson failed to garner at target in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the 49ers.
Making his season debut following a knee injury, Jefferson failed to get any looks from quarterback Matthew Stafford in the contest. On the bright side, the wide receiver did play 31 offensive snaps, which accounted for 55 percent of the team total. Jefferson produced 12 catches of over 20 yards last season, including four for 40 plus, so he'll likely get involved in the deep ball in the near future. The 26-year-old will look to make a bigger impact when the Rams take on the Buccaneers and their banged-up secondary in Week 9.
-
Damiere Byrd WR | BUF
Falcons' Damiere Byrd: Back-to-back games with TD
Byrd caught three of six targets for 67 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 37-34 overtime win versus the Panthers.
Byrd finished second on the team in targets behind Kyle Pitts, but the former's go-ahead 47-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter accounted for the majority of his production. It was the second straight game that Byrd used his speed to create a big-play score. He has now totaled 142 yards and two scores across Atlanta's past two games after failing to catch either of his targets over his three previous appearances. Byrd's current pace is likely unsustainable, but he figures to continue garnering looks as long as he's able to make big plays after the catch.
-
Cedrick Wilson Jr. WR | DET
Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Third straight zero-target game
Wilson was not targeted during Sunday's 31-27 win over the Lions.
Wilson has only been targeted in three out of seven appearances this season, and he hasn't drawn a single look in the passing game since Week 5. Trent Sherfield looks clearly solidified ahead of Wilson as the No. 3 wideout. Though coach Mike McDaniel said he anticipates Wilson's role growing in the future, he is essentially without fantasy value at the moment.
-
Dax Milne WR | CAR
Commanders' Dax Milne: Targeted once again
Milne caught his lone target for a four-yard gain in Sunday's 17-16 win over Indianapolis, playing 15 percent of snaps on offense.
Milne caught exactly one pass for either four or five yards for a third straight week. He's been the No. 4 receiver with both Jahan Dotson (hamstring) and Dyami Brown (groin) injured, but lightly targeted Cam Sims is getting far more playing time. Milne has also been quiet on special teams, with a long kick return of 33 yards and a long punt return of 19.
