Montgomery was on the field for 21 of a possible 57 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-7 loss to Miami, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

In the process, Montgomery carried twice for minus-2 yards and caught three of his four targets for 15 yards and a TD. Given that rookie Pierre Strong was inactive Week 1, it looks like Montgomery has a decent grip on the Patriots' change-of-pace duties early on this season, while Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson (two targets Sunday) remain the team's primary early-down options. Looking ahead, Montgomery possesses modest fantasy utility in PPR-friendly formats, with his weekly volume likely to be dependent on varying game plans and flows.

Boykin failed to secure his lone target during Sunday's 23-20 overtime win over the Bengals.

Boykin had limited production during his final season with the Ravens in 2021, securing his lone target for six yards over eight appearances. While he drew a target during his Steelers debut Sunday, he was on the field for just 13 percent of the team's offensive snaps and played mainly on special teams. As long as the Steelers' other pass catchers remain healthy, it seems unlikely Boykin will be a reliable fantasy option.

Pickens secured one of three targets for three yards during Monday's 23-20 overtime win over the Bengals.

Pickens drew plenty of praise from the Steelers' coaching staff during offseason activities and preseason play, but he was held in check during his first taste of regular-season action in the NFL. The rookie played 71 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps Sunday but seemed to be clearly behind Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool for targets in the season opener. Pickens demonstrated during preseason play that he certainly has the talent to compete at the professional level, but his limited target share during his regular-season debut was discouraging.

Philips logged 31 of a possible 65 snaps on offense in Sunday's season-opening 21-20 loss to the Giants en route to catching six of his team-high nine targets for 66 yards.

Though Philips was outsnapped by both Robert Woods (46 snaps) and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (44 snaps), it was he and fellow rookie Treylon Burks (24 snaps, five targets) who were QB Ryan Tannehill's most-targeted options in Week 1. Though Woods and Westbrook-Ikhine could pick up the pace in Week 2, Philips' showing in Tennessee's opener puts the 2022 fifth-rounder on the PPR radar ahead of next Monday's contest against the Bills.

Edwards failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 27-26 loss to New Orleans.

Atlanta traded for Edwards after selecting Drake London in the first round of the 2022 Draft, seemingly giving the Falcons a new starting wideout duo. However, Edwards struggled to capture the No. 2 role during training camp and submitted a lackluster performance in the season opener. He played the third-most snaps (35) among wideouts behind London (54) and Olamide Zaccheaus (45), but seven players drew more targets than Edwards and eight caught more passes. While his snap share is encouraging, it'll be difficult to trust the former Raider in fantasy lineups until he's able to consistently translate his opportunities into production.

Hodge caught all three of his targets for 38 yards during Sunday's 27-26 loss to the Saints.

Hodge parlayed a strong training camp into a solid role with his new squad to start the 2022 campaign. The journeyman finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Drake London and Olamide Zaccheaus, but he was fifth in targets and played the fourth-most snaps among Atlanta's wideouts. His relative high production compared to his snap share is concerning, but he's made a strong impression on the coaching staff so it's possible he'll be able to maintain his production.

Zaccheaus reeled in all four of his targets for 49 yards during Sunday's 27-26 loss to the Saints.

Zaccheaus finished second on the team in receptions and receiving yards behind first-round pick Drake London, but his four targets were only good for fourth on the team behind London (seven), Kyle Pitts (seven) and Cordarrelle Patterson (five). Zaccheaus played 10 more offensive snaps than any other wideout aside from London, and the fourth-year player appears to have carved out a solid role in Atlanta's passing attack to start the 2022 campaign.

Dotson secured three of five targets for 40 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 28-22 win over Jacksonville. He also lost 10 yards on his only rushing attempt.

Dotson's spectacular NFL debut included hauling in the game-winning touchdown pass from Carson Wentz, and it was as promising a start as could be asked of the first-round rookie. Washington's coaching staff doesn't appear to have any qualms about relying on Dotson in key situations, and his big-play ability makes up for concerns about his volume opposite No. 1 wideout Terry McLaurin. Dotson is worth real fantasy consideration heading into a Week 2 matchup against Detroit, and he's a priority add in any fantasy leagues in which he still resides on the waiver wire.

Houston caught two of five passes for 16 yards in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay secondary focused its attention on CeeDee Lamb (2-29-0 on a team-high 11 targets), but Houston wasn't able to do much against lesser coverage. The undrafted rookie earned a spot on the roster with a strong offseason, but with Dak Prescott (hand) now set to miss multiple weeks and Cooper Rush taking over under center, the entire Cowboys passing game figures to take a big step back. Houston also will face additional competition for snaps and targets once Michael Gallup (knee) is cleared to play, something that could happen as soon as Week 2 against the Bengals.

Brown caught five of nine targets for 68 yards in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

The Cowboys offense managed only three points in a brutal performance, but Brown at least held his own as the team's No. 2 wide receiver and led Dallas in receiving yards while the Tampa Bay secondary worked to shut down CeeDee Lamb (2-29-0 on a team-high 11 targets). Making matters worse, Dak Prescott suffered a thumb injury late in the contest that will require surgery and keep him sidelined for multiple weeks. Cooper Rush is the next man up under center, but the entire Cowboys passing game will take a step back without Prescott, and Brown could face additional competition for snaps and targets from Michael Gallup (knee) as soon as a Week 2 clash with the Bengals.
