Greg Dortch WR | BUF
Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Surprising leading receiver Sunday
Dortch caught seven of nine targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 44-21 loss to Kansas City.
The 24-year-old came into the game with only three career receptions in seven NFL games, but Dortch wound up leading the Cardinals in catches, targets and receiving yards. He took full advantage of the absences of DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) and Rondale Moore (hamstring), and while Marquise Brown should be Kyler Murray's top target in the long run, Dortch could supply some surprising production in the early part of the year until Arizona's receiving corps is closer to full strength.

Zay Jones WR | HOU
Jaguars' Zay Jones: Nine targets in loss
Jones hauled in six of nine targets for 65 yards in Sunday's 28-22 loss to Washington.
The chemistry Jones and Trevor Lawrence developed in the preseason carried over into Week 1. The other Jones in this receiving unit, Marvin Jones, finished third in targets (four receptions for 38 yards). Zay could develop more fantasy value this season if he can leapfrog his veteran teammate and become the second receiving option behind Christian Kirk (six receptions for 117 yards). Jones and the Jaguars will take on the Colts next Sunday.

Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Scores in Cards debut
Brown caught four of six targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-21 loss to Kansas City.
The former Raven had a quiet first half in his Cardinals debut, but Brown connected with Kyler Murray on a six-yard score early in the fourth quarter. With DeAndre Hopkins suspended and Rondale Moore dealing with a hamstring strain, Brown figures to be Murray's top target in the early going this season as he looks to improve on the career-high 91 catches and 1,008 yards he put up in 2021.
-
Kalif Raymond WR | CHI
Lions' Kalif Raymond: Logs minimal playing time
Raymond saw two targets but did not record a catch during Sunday's 38-35 loss to Philadelphia.
Each of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds logged at least 55 offensive snaps, leaving just a few to spare for Raymond and Quintez Cephus. While Raymond still earned two targets on his seven snaps, he didn't do anything with them. As long as everyone stays healthy, there is no reason to think that his playing time or production could spike in anytime soon.
-
Braxton Berrios WR | NYG
Jets' Braxton Berrios: Five catches in pass-heavy loss
Berrios caught five of six targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Ravens. He added two kickoff returns for 48 yards and two punt returns for 30 yards.
The Jets were able to get each of their top four wide receivers involved as Joe Flacco aired it out 59 times, but New York's unlikely to go that pass-heavy often moving forward. Berrios finished fourth among the team's wideouts in both targets and receiving yards, and he was seventh on the team overall in targets. Barring an injury to Elijah Moore, Corey Davis or Garrett Wilson, Berrios will remain limited to a part-time role in Week 2 against the Browns and beyond.
-
Quintez Cephus WR | HOU
Lions' Quintez Cephus: Sees just two offensive snaps
Cephus logged two offensive snaps but did not have a target during Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Eagles.
Cephus and Kalif Raymond only saw a handful of snaps behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds. Within an offense that will also feed its running backs and tight ends in the passing game, Cephus figures to remain far off the fantasy radar while everyone is healthy.

Equanimeous St. Brown WR | SF
Bears' Equanimeous St. Brown: Scores in Bears debut
St. Brown posted an 18-yard touchdown reception in the Bears' 19-10 win over the 49ers on Sunday.
With Velus Jones (hamstring) missing the game, St. Brown tied Darnell Mooney with three targets to lead the Bears receivers. On his score, there was a slight coverage bust, and he got behind the defense for the score. He should continue to see targets as long as Jones misses time. After that, he could fall outside the top-three receiver options for Justin Fields.
-
Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ
Lions' Josh Reynolds: Catches long pass
Reynolds caught one of three targets for 28 yards during Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Eagles.
Reynolds clearly worked as the third option at wide receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark, but he finished fifth in targets behind those top two receivers plus D'Andre Swift and T.J. Hockenson. With only so many passes to go around in any given week, Reynolds' workload will likely remain limited as long as everyone stays healthy. The looming return of Jameson Williams (knee) will only make things harder for him.
-
JuJu Smith-Schuster WR | NYG
Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Productive in KC debut
Smith-Schuster caught six of eight targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals.
The former Steeler led all Kansas City wide receivers in receptions, yards and targets on the day, although Marquez Valdes-Scantling (4-44 on four targets) and Mecole Hardman (3-16-1 on six targets) also saw significant volume. With Tyreek Hill now in Miami, Patrick Mahomes figures to spread the ball around more than he did in years past, but Smith-Schuster made an early case to be his No. 2 option behind Travis Kelce.
-
Dante Pettis WR | BUF
Bears' Dante Pettis: Scores in Chicago debut
Pettis caught his only target for a 51-yard touchdown in the Bears' 19-10 win over the 49ers on Sunday.
On his touchdown, Pettis had the defense ignore him when Justin Fields started to run away from the play. Given time, Fields looked back and found his receiver open for an easy catch-and-run score. After a strong preseason, he could find himself in the mix for weekly targets while playing in a depth role.
