Deon Cain WR | BUF
Deon Cain: Back on practice squad deal
The Eagles signed Cain to their practice squad Wednesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
As expected, Cain returns to the Eagles via a practice squad deal after going unclaimed through waivers. The 6-foot-2 wideout caught eight passes for 106 yards across three preseason games.

Kendric Pryor WR | CIN
Jaguars' Kendric Pryor: Headed to Jacksonville
The Jaguars claimed Pryor off waivers from the Bengals on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Pryor caught four of seven targets for 89 yards and a score during Cincinnati's preseason opener, but recorded just one catch in each of the final two exhibition games. The undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin will look to carve out a role in Jacksonville's wideout room, which is led by Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones and Zay Jones.

Devon Allen WR | PHI
Devon Allen: Back with Eagles' practice squad
Allen was signed to the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
After being waived Wednesday, the Eagles opted to keep Allen and his top-notch speed around, adding him to their practice squad. The wide receiver will provide the team with an explosive option, ready to be added to the active roster when needed.
-
Tyler Johnson WR | DAL
Texans' Tyler Johnson: Lands in Houston
The Texans claimed Johnson off waivers from the Buccaneers on Wednesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Johnson, who caught 36 of his 55 targets for 360 yards in 17 games with the Buccaneers last season, lands in a spot where could could carve out a key role on offense once he's up to speed with the Texans' playbook. Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins profile as Houston's top two wideouts, but beyond those two options, plenty of targets are up for grabs.

Khalil Shakir WR | BUF
Bills' Khalil Shakir: Claims roster spot
Shakir remains on Buffalo's initial 53-man roster following Tuesday's wave of cuts, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Shakir's inclusion on the roster was expected, as he's shined all summer, showing that his playmaking ability and football acumen exceed his fifth-round draft status. For now, Shakir appears to be the fifth receiver on the depth chart, but since the No. 3 and No. 4 options -- Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder -- play primarily out of the slot, Shakir could have a strong footprint in a high-powered offense if the Bills happen to be without one of Stefon Diggs or Gabriel Davis at any point.

Kaylon Geiger Sr. WR | TB
Kaylon Geiger: Returns to Bucs' practice squad
Geiger signed with the Buccaneers' practice squad Wednesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Geiger will return to the Buccaneers' organization after being waived Tuesday. The wide receiver joined the team in May after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft and will now look to crack the active roster at some point this season.
-
Tarik Black WR | DET
Tarik Black: Waived by Jets
The Jets waived Black on Tuesday, Randy Lange of the team's official site reports.
Black caught four passes for 47 yards during the Jets' second exhibition game before suffering an apparent head injury that kept him sidelined for the preseason finale. However, he wasn't waived with an injury designation, suggesting he's cleared the issue. If he clears waivers, the undrafted wideout from Texas could join the Jets' practice squad for a second straight campaign.

Mack Hollins WR | NE
Raiders' Mack Hollins: Locks down roster spot
Hollins secured a spot Tuesday on the Raiders' initial 53-man roster, Levi Edwards of the team's official site reports.
The Raiders kept Hollins, Tyron Johnson and DJ Turner as reserve options behind starting wideouts Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. Based on preseason usage, Hollins could open the season as the No. 3 receiver, though it isn't likely to be a high-volume role in terms of targets, and he might share snaps with Johnson. The Raiders open their season with a road game against the division-rival Chargers on Sept. 11.
-
Quintez Cephus WR | HOU
Lions' Quintez Cephus: Sticks in Detroit
Cephus remains on the Lions' initial 53-man roster following Tuesday's cutdown deadline, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The Lions kept only five receivers in the continued absence of rookie first-round pick Jameson Williams (knee), but Cephus will be sticking around despite missing most of the summer with an undisclosed leg injury. However, as nothing more than the No. 4 or 5 receiver in an offense that will feed targets to its starting tight end and running back, Cephus is a much longer shot for fantasy relevance this year than he was out of the gate in 2021.

Marcus Kemp WR | WAS
Marcus Kemp: Secures injury settlement
The Giants released Kemp (hamstring) from IR with an injury settlement Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
Kemp can now sign with a club this season, once he's returned to full health as per the terms of his injury settlement. The veteran wideout has proven he has the ability to contribute on special teams and has 43 career appearances under his belt.
