Gary Jennings WR | LAC
Chiefs' Gary Jennings: Out Saturday
Jennings (concussion) is not playing against the Bears on Saturday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Jennings wasn't able to get cleared from the concussion he suffered last week, and his chances to impress coaches and make the roster are dwindling as the preseason rolls on. Jennings has yet to make much of an impact in the NFL since being selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Seahawks, and he has been relegated to the practice squad on multiple NFL teams with only a single game of NFL action to his credit.

Slade Bolden WR | ATL
Ravens' Slade Bolden: Cleared for return
Bolden (undisclosed) returned to practice Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Baltimore's banged-up wide receiver corps has finally started to shake off some of the early injury woes from training camp, and Bolden's return leaves just James Proche (undisclosed), Tylan Wallace (knee) and Bailey Gaither (undisclosed) on the mend. Bolden, an undrafted free agent from Alabama, will get a chance to make an impression during the Ravens' second preseason game against the Cardinals on Aug. 21.
-
Stefon Diggs WR | WAS
Bills' Stefon Diggs: Likely unavailable Saturday
Diggs is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
The Bills seemingly are choosing not to play the majority of their starters to open the preseason. Expect Khalil Shakir, Isaiah Hodgins and Jake Kumerow to see extensive work among the Bills' pass catchers.
-
Devon Williams WR | BAL
Devon Williams: Let go by Ravens
Williams (undisclosed) was waived by the Ravens on Saturday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Williams has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury. If he ultimately goes unclaimed on waivers, he will subsequently revert to the team's injured reserve. From there, he will be sidelined for the remainder of the season unless both parties can reach an injury settlement down the line.
-
KeeSean Johnson WR | BUF
49ers' KeeSean Johnson: Sees return action
Johnson caught his lone target for two yards while seeing action on punt returns in Friday's preseason win over the Packers.
Johnson will have to earn his way into a crowded receiver room in San Francisco this season. The 23-year-old could find his way onto the 53-man roster if he can prove his worth as a return specialist (seven yards on one punt return Friday).
-
Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Likely out for Saturday
Godwin (knee) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason tilt against the Dolphins, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Godwin has been running routes throughout training camp and participating in positional drills, but the star wideout has yet to play in meaningful game situations, something that's not expected to change Saturday. The Buccaneers are expected to rest the majority of their top pass catchers, opening the door for Tyler Johnson, Cyril Grayson and Scotty Miller to get extended run.
-
Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Likely not playing Saturday
Evans (hamstring) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
This should come as no surprise considering Evans is still dealing with the minor hamstring injury he sustained last week. Most of the team's top pass catchers are not expected to play in Saturday's preseason contest, which could set the stage for Tyler Johnson and Cyril Grayson to see the majority of the first-team reps.
-
Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Still missing time
Marshall (lower leg) will not play in Saturday's preseason matchup against the Commanders.
This isn't a particularly surprising decision as Marshall has been dealing with a lower leg strain for most of training camp. DJ Moore and Christian McCaffrey are both healthy absences for the preseason opener, which means Rashard Higgins should see the majority of first-team reps at wide receiver.
-
Samori Toure WR | PHI
Packers' Samori Toure: Three catches in first appearance
Toure was targeted four times and caught three passes for 42 yards in Friday's preseason game against the 49ers.
Toure was busy in his first professional appearance, playing more snaps than any receiver besides Amari Rodgers. He made the most of his opportunity, turning two of his catches -- and nearly the third -- into first downs. The seventh-rounder certainly didn't hurt his chances of earning a roster spot, but he still faces an uphill climb to come away with one.
