  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Practices for second straight day

Godwin (knee) ran full-speed routes during individual and positional drills for the second consecutive day in Saturday's practice, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The recovering receiver's rehab process is coming along as well as could be expected at this juncture, with head coach Todd Bowles emphasizing how effectively Godwin is moving around just nine months removed from his ACL injury. The team will naturally continue to exercise considerable caution with Godwin, but the fact the Week 1 clash against the Cowboys is still over a month away seemingly gives him a fighting chance of playing at least a limited role in that contest.

  • Browns' Michael Woods: Injures hamstring

Woods will miss "some time" due to a hamstring injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Woods, who had already injured his hamstring during the offseason program, aggravated the injury during Wednesday's practice. Coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters, "It's something that affected him back in the spring, so we're just going to be smart," which likely means the team will be in no hurry to rush the 2022 sixth-round pick back on the field.

  • Devin Duvernay WR | ARI

Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Returns to camp

Duvernay (thigh) returned to practice Saturday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

A collision with safety Chuck Clark had Duvernay on the mend for a week, but he luckily avoided a serious injury and finally made it back on the field after the team chose to be cautious with its No. 2 wide receiver. Fellow wideout Rashod Bateman is also dealing with an undisclosed injury, so Duvernay's return is a sigh of relief for the Ravens, who are already thin at the position after the departures of Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins in the offseason.

  • Browns' Anthony Schwartz: Returns to practice

Schwartz (knee) is active at Saturday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Schwartz had been considered day-to-day while he has been sidelined the past week. His return Saturday indicates he has moved on from his knee injury; however, Schwartz did not participate in team drills, per Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site. He currently projects to be the Browns' No. 4 pass catcher behind Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and David Bell.

  • Javon Wims WR | CAR

Browns' Javon Wims: Activated off NFI list

Wims (undisclosed) was removed from the active/non-football illness list Saturday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Though it's unclear what illness Wims was dealing with, it seems to have been of little concern, as he's expected to resume practicing again soon. The 6-foot-4 receiver spent all of last season on the Raiders' practice squad, but he will attempt to participate in more in-game action this year with Cleveland. Wims is now playing for his third NFL team since he was drafted in 2018, and he will battle with Ja'Marcus Bradley, Michael Woods (knee) and Mike Harley for a roster spot.

  • Bears' Velus Jones: Out for second straight day

Jones did not practice for a second straight day Saturday due to an undisclosed injury, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.

Head coach Matt Eberflus said Jones and fellow rookie Kyler Gordon were "day to day," but the coach withheld why both players were missing time. The Bears saw their wide receiver depth tested Saturday after N'Keal Harry (leg) and Byron Pringle (quad) were both unable to participate. While the status of either wide receiver hasn't been officially confirmed, it seems likely one or both could miss extended time during training camp, which could open the door for Jones to earn valuable first-team reps whenever he's able to practice.

  • Byron Pringle WR | WAS

Bears' Byron Pringle: Could miss time due to quad injury

Pringle is dealing with a quadriceps injury that could keep him out for a while, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Head coach Matt Eberflus is "hopeful" the former Chiefs wideout will play at some point this preseason, which should indicate the severity of the injury. The Bears also lost N'Keal Harry to a possibly serious leg injury in Saturday's practice, while 2022 third-round pick Velus Jones sat out with an undisclosed injury. The dizzying number of injuries to Bears pass catchers leaves just Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown as the only two healthy bodies among the projected top five wideouts.

  • Chiefs' Daurice Fountain: Hurts finger in camp

Fountain will undergo an X-ray after he injured his finger during Saturday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

The severity of Fountain's injury might determine whether or not the 26-year-old makes the Chiefs' roster, as he's caught just two passes for 23 yards since he was drafted in 2018. Meanwhile, Justin Watson, Cornell Powell and Corey Coleman's chances of suiting up on game days will increase, as they'll receive more practice reps while Fountain awaits a diagnosis.

  • N'Keal Harry TE | SEA

Bears' N'Keal Harry: Picks up leg injury

Harry appeared to suffer a leg injury during Saturday's practice, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports

It's unclear how severe the injury may be, but head coach Matt Eberflus did seem concerned the issue could test the team's depth at wide receiver. Byron Pringle didn't practice Saturday due to a quad injury that will "keep him out for a bit," according to the head coach, and that comes on top of 2022 third-round pick Velus Jones also not participating in practice for an undisclosed reason. At the moment, Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown are the only two healthy wideouts among the Bears' top five projected pass catchers.

  • Gary Jennings WR | LAC

Chiefs' Gary Jennings: Dealing with concussion

Jennings (concussion) was not spotted during Saturday's practice session, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

After signing with Kansas City in May, Jennings is fighting for a roster spot among receivers Daurice Fountain, Cornell Powell, Corey Coleman and Omar Bayless. The 2019 fourth-round pick hasn't lived up to expectations through his first four seasons, as he's now playing for his seventh NFL team. There's no timetable for a return yet, but Jennings will likely sit out at least one week before taking the field again.
