  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

Bills' Cole Beasley: Sits out practice

    Beasley (ribs) didn't practice Wednesday.

Per Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site, head coach Sean McDermott previously suggested that Beasley's absence Wednesday would be considered a veteran rest day. The wide receiver headed into Week 9 listed as questionable, but he played through his rib issue in the 9-6 loss to the Jaguars while playing 45 of a possible 67 snaps on offense and catching eight of his 11 targets for 33 yards. Assuming Beasley returns to practice Thursday, he'll be on track to play this weekend against the Jets.

  • Tim Patrick WR | NYJ

Broncos' Tim Patrick: Misses practice with knee injury

Patrick didn't practice Wednesday due to a knee injury, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Patrick exited at one point in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Cowboys, but the brief departure was attributed to cramping and he finished the game with four catches for 85 yards and a touchdown on five targets. A return to practice Thursday or Friday would put him on track to play this weekend against the Eagles.

  • Dyami Brown WR | WAS

Football Team's Dyami Brown: Practicing after bye

Brown (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Brown is back at practice after a bye week, having missed Week 8 with the knee injury beforehand. He may be a starter if he makes it back for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, as Curtis Samuel (groin) appears unlikely to play this weekend. The other options for perimeter snaps across from Terry McLaurin are Cam Sims (hamstring), DeAndre Carter, Antonio Gandy-Golden and Dax Milne.

  • Cam Sims WR | CAR

Football Team's Cam Sims: Still dealing with hamstring

Sims (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Sims missed Weeks 5 through 7 with the hamstring injury, returning Week 8 to catch one of two targets for 20 yards while playing 15 snaps on offense (21 percent). He's apparently still bothered by his hamstring after a Week 9 bye, but he'll likely be able to play Sunday against the Buccaneers.

  • Curtis Samuel WR | BUF

Football Team's Curtis Samuel: No practice out of bye week

Samuel (groin) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.

Even with the benefit of Washington's Week 9 bye, Samuel hasn't made noticeable progress from the groin injury that's plagued him since the offseason program and limited him to just two brief appearances in Weeks 4 and 5. He's already had one stint on injured reserve this season, so he'll remain on the active roster for the time being with the intention he'll be healthy enough to suit up at some point in the second half of the campaign.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Dealing with foot injury

Godwin was held out of Wednesday's practice with a foot injury, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Godwin dealt with minor knee and ankle injuries earlier this season but still managed to play in each of Tampa Bay's eight games prior to the team's Week 9 bye, catching 50 passes for 660 yards and four touchdowns. While the missed practice after a bye comes as somewhat of a surprise, the Bucs haven't indicated that Godwin's foot injury is serious. Meanwhile, fellow wideout Antonio Brown (ankle) appears likely to miss a third straight game when the Bucs take on Washington on Sunday.

  • Corey Davis WR | NYJ

Jets' Corey Davis: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Davis (hip) will be limited in practice Wednesday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that he expects Davis to be available Week 10, and the wideout's return to practice is a tangible step in the right direction. If Davis indeed is cleared to suit up versus Buffalo on Sunday, he'll likely be catching passes for Mike White (forearm), as the Jets seem content to give No. 1 quarterback Zach Wilson another week to heal up from a knee injury.

  • Tyler Boyd WR | TEN

Bengals' Tyler Boyd: Another unproductive day

Boyd hauled in one of two targets for an 11-yard reception Sunday in the Bengals' 41-16 loss to the Browns.

Even with the Bengals dialing up almost twice as many pass plays (47) as run plays (23), Boyd still ranked a distant third in targets among Cincinnati's starting wideout group. Youngsters Ja'Marr Chase (13 targets) and Tee Higgins (eight) have clearly surpassed Boyd in the pass-catching hierarchy, and even in a splashy offense, there doesn't seem to be enough volume to go around to make Boyd a reliable weekly fantasy option. Boyd hasn't drawn more than eight targets in any of Cincinnati's last five games, cobbling together a modest 15-150-1 receiving line during that stretch.

  • Kirk Merritt WR | NO

Kirk Merritt: Catches one ball in win

Merritt caught one of three targets for 13 yards Sunday in the Dolphins' 17-9 win over the Texans. He reverted to the Dolphins' practice squad following the game.

After being elevated from the practice squad prior to the contest, Merritt saw his first action of the season Sunday. The 24-year-old wideout played on just 11 of the team's 75 offensive snaps, but he was still highly involved during his minimal time on the field. He could have had a shot at an even bigger day if not for Jacoby Brissett slightly underthrowing a deep ball that Merritt couldn't reel in. With Will Fuller (finger) likely to remain on injured reserve Week 10 along with fellow receiver DeVante Parker (shoulder), Merritt could be called up from the practice squad again ahead of Thursday's game against the Ravens.

  • Rondale Moore WR | MIN

Cardinals' Rondale Moore: Makes five catches Sunday

Moore hauled in all five of his targets for 25 yards, returned one kickoff for 22 yards and had one punt return for two yards during Sunday's 31-17 win in San Francisco.

Prior to Week 9, Moore's share of offensive snaps hadn't surpassed 64 percent in any of the first eight games of his career, but with DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) sidelined and A.J. Green (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Moore jumped all the way up to 81 percent. It didn't translate to much in the box score, however, and Christian Kirk ended up leading the receiving corps with six catches (on six targets) for 91 yards. Colt McCoy stepped in for Kyler Murray on Sunday due to the latter's sprained ankle, and there's some worry Murray won't be able to suit up Week 10 versus the Panthers, either. As a result, the outlook for the team's skill-position players, including Moore, is murky.
