  • Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: Diagnosed with concussion

Eskridge suffered a concussion during Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Prior to his departure, Eskridge rushed twice for 22 yards and caught his lone target for six yards. The rookie second-round pick will need to clear the league's concussion protocol in order to play against the Titans next Sunday. With Penny Hart also dealing with a concussion, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Freddie Swain are the only healthy wideouts on Seattle's active roster.

  • Saints' Marquez Callaway: Two targets in starting role

Callaway caught one of two passes for 14 yards during Sunday's 38-3 win over the Packers.

After a summer full of hype, Callaway didn't seem to have a large role in the game plan despite the absences of both Michael Thomas (ankle) and Tre'Quan Smith (hamstring). Instead, Jameis Winston spread the ball around to eight different receivers with Adam Trautman (six targets) and Alvin Kamara (four) getting the most attention. However, it should be noted that Winston needed to throw only 20 passes in this one, and Callaway would be an obvious candidate to see more looks when the Saints do need to air it out more often. The second-year receiver will look to rebound in Week 2 against Carolina.

  • DeVante Parker WR | PHI

Dolphins' DeVante Parker: Provides big plays

Parker recorded four receptions on seven targets for 81 yards in Sunday's Week 1 victory over New England.

Parker took advantage of the absence of Will Fuller (suspension) to lead the team in both targets and yards. He served as a big-play threat throughout the contest, racking up gains of 30, 23, 15 and 13 yards. Though Parker missed significant portions of training camp, he managed to top 80 receiving yards -- a feat he accomplished only three times in 2020. Fuller's return in Week 2 against the Bills will crowd Miami's wide receiver corps, but Parker should keep a significant role in the offense.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

    Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Impressive debut

Waddle recorded four receptions on six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 1 victory over New England.

Waddle was out-targeted by only DeVante Parker, and he finished second on the team with 61 receiving yards. He showed explosiveness in a variety of ways and picked up 17 yards on the team's first play from scrimmage. Waddle played a key role at other points in the game, hauling in a deep reception of 36 yards that set up a field goal just before halftime. On the team's opening possession of the second half, Waddle found the end zone on a three-yard catch. While Will Fuller (suspension) will return for the team's Week 2 matchup against Buffalo, Waddle showcased his capabilities in his opening regular-season contest as a professional.

  • Jets' Braxton Berrios: Involved in opener

Berrios caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers. He added a 15-yard punt return.

Berrios filled in admirably for Jamison Crowder (illness) in the slot. He tied for the team lead in targets with Corey Davis, though Davis did much more with his opportunities, scoring both of the Jets' touchdowns. Berrios -- who is a former Patriots castoff -- could get an opportunity to exact some revenge on his former team in Week 2 if Crowder isn't cleared by then.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Jets' Elijah Moore: Falls flat in debut

Moore caught one of four targets for minus-3 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to Carolina.

Moore showed some rookie nerves in his NFL debut, as both of his first-half targets were in his hands but ended up incomplete. Things didn't get any better after halftime, even as the rest of the Jets' offense came alive around him. The rookie second-round pick apparently had a sensational camp but was unable to replicate that success when it counted. Moore should improve as he gets more comfortable, and he could continue to see plenty of playing time if Jamison Crowder (illness) or Keelan Cole (knee) aren't ready to return in Week 2 against the Patriots.

  • Nelson Agholor WR | BAL

Patriots' Nelson Agholor: Posts 72 yards, scores

Agholor recorded five receptions on seven targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Dolphins.

Agholor finished tied for second on the team with seven targets, but he was by far the most efficient pass catcher. He displayed a diverse skillset, recording short and mid-range receptions over the middle of the field while also racking up a 25-yard catch as a deep target. He highlighted the performance with a seven-yard touchdown reception late in the second quarter, which gave the Patriots a brief lead. This opening performance bodes well for Agholor moving forward, as he showcased immediate rapport with rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Notably spry in win

Williams caught eight of his 12 targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-16 win over Washington.

Williams looked noticeably more spry, nimbly breaking out of routes, particularly on the isolated touchdown reception. Multiple drops in the third quarter stalled an otherwise productive offensive drive, so it wasn't a pristine game from Williams, but it was easily his best contest with Justin Herbert -- who time and again looked to the big target in crucial chain-moving situations -- under center. Another solid game could be on tap as the Chargers face the Cowboys' porous defense in Week 2.

  • Steelers' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Team-leading yardage tally

Smith-Schuster secured four of eight targets for 52 yards in the Steelers' 23-16 win over the Bills on Sunday.

Smith-Schuster led Pittsburgh in receiving yardage while checking in second in targets on the afternoon. The fifth-year wideout was encouragingly deployed a bit further away from the line of scrimmage than he typically was in 2020, when he posted a career-low 6.5 yards per target and 8.6 yards per catch. Whether that continues to hold true under new offensive coordinator Matt Canada remains to be seen, but Smith-Schuster will seemingly have a good opportunity to build on the solid opener in a Week 2 home battle against the Raiders.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Chargers' Keenan Allen: Posts usual line

Allen caught nine of his 13 targets for 100 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over Washington.

Allen and Justin Herbert looked like a seasoned duo as the passing offense shredded what was widely regarded as a difficult Washington defense. An uncharacteristic drop by Allen in the first half stymied a possible touchdown drive, but it was an otherwise dominant day for the veteran wideout. Both Allen and Williams, the two outside wide receivers, registered double-digit targets while no other wideout saw more than five, reinforcing Allen's role as the top option. Expect a similar type of performance next week against a porous Cowboys defense.
