Vyncint Smith WR | IND
Jets' Vyncint Smith: Right on roster bubble
Smith caught two of four targets for 32 yards and added 94 yards on four kickoff returns in Friday's preseason finale against the Eagles.
Smith hasn't stood out enough to guarantee himself a roster spot this preseason, but he also hasn't underwhelmed enough to take himself out of the running. His contributions on special teams are certainly a point in his favor, but Smith should either be among the last guys in or just miss the cut when the Jets unveil their 53-man roster ahead of the regular season.

Racey McMath WR | DAL
Titans' Racey McMath: Placed in COVID protocols
McMath will miss Saturday's preseason contest against the Bears after being placed in COVID-19 protocols, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The Titans continue to deal with a COVID-19 outbreak that has sidelined numerous members of their organization, including Ryan Tannehill and head coach Mike Vrabel. McMath was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and is competing for a roster spot in a wide-open receiver room behind A.J. Brown and Julio Jones.

Stefon Diggs WR | WAS
Bills' Stefon Diggs: Not playing
Diggs (knee) isn't in uniform for Saturday's preseason game against Green Bay, WIVB's Josh Reed reports.
Diggs went through pregame warmups in uniform but won't actually play in the contest. Emmanuel Sanders, Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley are all playing, and Diggs should be back from his minor knee injury for Week 1 against Pittsburgh.

Javon Wims WR | CAR
Javon Wims: Wasn't claimed on waivers
Wims went unclaimed on waivers Friday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
Wims had been dealing with an oblique injury during training camp, but he was not designated with an injury as he was waived. The 2018 seventh-round pick is probably best known for throwing punches at Saints cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the middle of a game, which led to a two-game suspension. His future in the NFL is uncertain.

Jauan Jennings WR | MIN
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Expected to play Sunday
Jennings (heel) participated in Friday's walk-through practice and is expected to play in the preseason finale Sunday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Jennings had a strong showing in the preseason opener, totaling three touches for 49 yards, but he was unable to maintain that momentum as a heel injury sidelined him for Week 2 of preseason. The extra work will be vital for the 24-year-old as he competes for a roster spot with Travis Benjamin and Trent Sherfield.

Cole Beasley WR | NYG
Bills' Cole Beasley: Suited up for preseason game
Beasley is in uniform and going through pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason matchup with Green Bay, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
It looks like Beasley and Gabriel Davis may play despite spending most of the week on the reserve/COVID-19 list. In addition to those two, Stefon Diggs (knee) and Emmanuel Sanders are going through warmups, potentially giving QB Josh Allen his top four wide receivers.

Stefon Diggs WR | WAS
Bills' Stefon Diggs: Going through warmups
Diggs (knee) is in uniform and going through pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason matchup with Green Bay, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Between minor injuries and the reserve/COVID-19 list, Buffalo has rarely had its top four wideouts available at the same time this summer. However, all four could be out there Saturday afternoon, with Diggs joined in pregame warmups by Emmanuel Sanders, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis. The Bills haven't seemed worried about Diggs' Week 1 status at any point, despite the recent absences from practice.

James Washington WR | ATL
Steelers' James Washington: Fails to secure lone target
Washington was unable to secure his lone target in Friday's 34-9 preseason loss to the Panthers.
Washington totaled three receptions for 24 yards in last week's preseason win over the Lions, but he was much less involved Friday despite playing 40 percent of the team's offensive snaps. The 2018 second-rounder had inconsistent results during the preseason and reportedly requested a trade following the Hall of Fame Game, but he's trending toward remaining in Pittsburgh ahead of the Week 1 matchup against the Bills. However, Washington will open the season as the team's clear No. 4 receiver behind Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool.
-
David Moore WR | CAR
Panthers' David Moore: Makes one catch
Moore caught one of two targets for 19 yards in Friday night's 34-9 preseason win over the Steelers.
Moore also returned three kicks for a combined 37 yards on special teams. Given the fantastic preseason production of rookie second-rounder Terrace Marshall, who scored while catching three passes for 43 yards Friday, Moore is now expected to serve as Carolina's fourth wideout this season, likely restricting his value despite coming off a career-best 35 receptions in Seattle last year.

Shi Smith WR | KC
Panthers' Shi Smith: Suffers shoulder injury
Smith caught two of three targets for 21 yards prior to exiting with a shoulder injury in Friday night's 34-9 preseason win over the Steelers.
Smith was forced to leave after making a catch during the fourth quarter. Afterward, coach Matt Rhule said Smith's injury seemed "significant," Joseph Person of The Athletic reports. Following a promising preseason run, that issue could stunt the rookie sixth-rounder Smith's availability and open a roster spot at the bottom of Carolina's receiving corps.
