  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Out for Sunday's game

Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Eagles.

Worthy entered the weekend with a doubtful tag after he suffered a dislocated right shoulder during the season-opening loss to the Chargers. It's encouraging that the 2024 first-round pick was a limited participant in practice Thursday and Friday, and his next chance to play will be Week 3 versus the Giants. Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton figure to take on a bulk of the workload in Worthy's absence.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Doesn't practice Friday

    Godwin (ankle) didn't practice Friday.

Godwin was limited Thursday in his first practice since suffering a dislocated left ankle Week 7 of last season, signaling that he was beginning to ramp up his conditioning. His next step in that regard likely will be taking part in drills on back-to-back days, which, because it didn't happen this week, may be an indication that he isn't a great candidate to return to action Monday at Houston. Ultimately, Tampa Bay can make a decision on Godwin's status for that contest when it posts its final Week 2 injury report Saturday.

  • 49ers' Jordan Watkins: Clear for potential pro debut

Watkins (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in New Orleans, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Watkins thus is set to make his pro debut after capping Week 2 prep with a full practice Friday, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. The rookie fourth-round initially sustained a high-ankle sprain Aug. 9, but slightly more than a month removed from the injury, he's been cleared for game action. Watkins' eventual workload Sunday could be tied to whether or not veteran WR Jauan Jennings (shoulder) is able to suit up, but he'd still be vying with Ricky Pearsall, Kendrick Bourne, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore for snaps and targets.

  • Texans' Braxton Berrios: DNP again Friday

Berrios (hamstring) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Berrios has yet to practice this season and looks poised to miss his second straight game to open the 2025 campaign. With Christian Kirk (hamstring) also hobbled, the Texans once again may use a committee approach at wide receiver behind Nico Collins this coming Monday night versus Tampa Bay.

  • 49ers' Jauan Jennings: Questionable for Week 2

Jennings (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at New Orleans, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Jennings didn't finish the Week 1 win over Seattle or practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he returned Friday in a limited capacity, giving himself at least some chance to play ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. With QB Brock Purdy (toe) and TE George Kittle (hamstring) both ruled out, Jennings will project for a large target share if he plays, but without many of the surrounding conditions that have made San Francisco players so valuable for fantasy football in recent years. Standout left tackle Trent Williams (knee) also is listed as questionable.

  • Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ

Jets' Josh Reynolds: Won't play vs. Bills

Reynolds (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Reynolds didn't practice Thursday or Friday due to his hamstring injury. His absence will open up playing time at wide receiver for Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith and Allen Lazard behind Garrett Wilson.

  • 49ers' Jauan Jennings: Returns to practice

Jennings (shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

He may have limitations but at least was participating during the media-access portion of practice. Jennings didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, following an early exit from the Week 1 win over Seattle due to a left shoulder injury. If he's able to play Week 2, he'll catch passes from backup quarterback Mac Jones this Sunday in New Orleans.

  • Hunter Renfrow WR | CAR

Panthers' Hunter Renfrow: Cleared to suit up Week 2

Renfrow (ribs) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Renfrow upgraded to full participation in Friday's practice after opening the week with a pair of limited sessions. The veteran slot receiver was understandably sore after his first regular-season NFL action since the 2023 campaign in Carolina's Week 1 loss to the Jaguars. Renfrow had two catches for 11 yards on six targets in the season opener.

  • Patriots' Kayshon Boutte: Ready to play Sunday

Boutte (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Boutte upgraded to full practice participation Friday after logging limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, which paves the way for him to maintain a key role in the Patriots' Week 2 offense. In the team's season opener last Sunday, Boutte was New England's busiest (82 percent snap share) and most productive WR (6-103-0 on eight targets) in a 20-13 loss to the Raiders. Such output resulted in the 2023 sixth-rounder being a notable waiver wire add this week.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | MIA

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Cleared to face Patriots

Waddle (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Waddle practiced without limitations Friday, eliminating any doubts regarding his availability after he was limited Wednesday and Thursday. Miami's entire offense is looking to bounce back after an ugly 33-8 loss to the Colts in Week 1, but Waddle and company have a nice opportunity to right the ship Sunday against a Patriots defense that remains without top cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hamstring).
