  • Samori Toure WR | NO

Samori Toure: Let go by Chicago

The Bears waived Toure on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Toure played in all three preseason games and finished with five catches (on seven targets) for 72 yards. Assuming he clears waivers, the 2022 seventh-rounder will look to catch on with a team in need of depth at wide receiver. Toure last saw regular-season action in 2023 with the Packers, when he logged eight catches (on 18 targets) for 78 yards across 11 games.

  • Seahawks' Ricky White: Three catches this preseason

White caught one of two targets for six yards in Saturday's 20-7 preseason loss to the Packers.

The rookie seventh-round pick has had an uneventful preseason with just three receptions for 40 yards through three games. White has an intriguing prospect profile where he was highly productive at Michigan State and UNLV, but his 4.61 40-yard dash was a letdown. He's on the roster bubble ahead of Week 1.

  • Seahawks' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Snares three passes

Valdes-Scantling caught all three targets for 33 yards in Saturday's 20-7 preseason loss to the Packers.

The Seahawks sat their starters, so it was interesting to see Valdes-Scantling play most of the first half, although the team likely wanted rookie QB Jalen Milroe to have some stability while playing the full game. These were Valdes-Scantling's first catches of the preseason. He and Tory Horton (ankle) are competing for the No. 3 role behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.

  • Cody White WR | SEA

Seahawks' Cody White: Scores in preseason finale

White caught three of five targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-7 preseason loss to the Packers.

With the starters sitting out, White led all Seahawks receivers in receiving yards while scoring the team's only touchdown. The 26-year-old wideout is on the roster bubble, but his strong showing Saturday helps his cause against seventh-round rookie Ricky White.

  • Tru Edwards WR | LAR

Rams' Tru Edwards: Just two targets

Edwards secured one of two targets for 25 yards during Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns.

Notably, Edwards didn't see his first target until the second half on a day the Rams' top six wideouts all were given the day off. Brennan Presley once again led the Rams receivers in yardage with 51 yards on three catches, and Britain Covey saw six targets thrown his way, tied for the team high with Drake Stoops. Edwards, a UDFA out of Louisiana Tech, has been looking at an uphill battle to make it on the 53-man roster given the wealth of talent the Rams have at wide receiver, and a fairly pedestrian preseason (outside of his game-winning touchdown catch last week) may not be enough to push the needle in favor of snagging one of the final roster spots.

  • Rams' Brennan Presley: Six touches in preseason finale

Presley secured all three of his targets for 51 yards and rushed three times for 23 yards during Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns. He also returned one kick for seven yards.

While the UDFA failed to score a touchdown for the first time this preseason in his final showcase for the Rams, Presley continued to be an effective weapon when his number was called. The Oklahoma State product made big plays as a receiver and as an option out of the backfield, including an 18-yard scamper in the second quarter. Presley was involved in three out of the Rams' five longest plays of the day, and his ability as a home-run hitter makes him an intriguing candidate for the practice squad, as he's unlikely to crack the final 53-man roster, with Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith all likely to make the roster.

  • Britain Covey WR | PHI

Rams' Britain Covey: Four catches in preseason finale

Covey secured four of six targets for 32 yards and returned one punt for 14 yards during Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns.

The veteran's final appearance in the preseason started off with quarterback Dresser Winn's first target of the game, which fell incomplete. More notable for Covey's chances of making the final 53-man roster was who wasn't out on the field Saturday, as Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield joined Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington as players who head coach Sean McVay chose to rest. Given Covey's rather quiet preseason, his most likely outcome is a spot on the Rams' practice squad, unless the team chooses to keep seven wideouts on its initial 53-man roster.

  • Raiders' Dont'e Thornton: Splash play in preseason finale

Thornton brought in two of three targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 20-10 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.

The rookie fourth-round pick wrapped up his first preseason in strong form, recording a 17-yard touchdown reception and also seeing a 10-yard grab wiped out by the Raiders' acceptance of a pass interference penalty, all while working with Geno Smith on the opening possession. Thornton put together a 3-43-1 line on eight targets over three exhibitions, and he's tunneled his way up to the No. 3 spot on the depth chart heading into the regular season, seemingly surpassing fellow rookie Jack Bech.

  • Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC

Raiders' Jakobi Meyers: Blanked in preseason finale

Meyers failed to bring in his only target in the Raiders' 20-10 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.

Meyers played on the Raiders' opening drive with Geno Smith and other starters but came up empty on his one opportunity. Despite a quiet preseason that saw him bring in only one of three targets for four yards, Meyers will begin the regular season against his old Patriots squad on Sunday, Sept. 7 as Las Vegas' No. 1 wide receiver, although tight end Brock Bowers could well prove to be Smith's top target over the course of the campaign.

  • Jalen Reagor WR | LAC

Chargers' Jalen Reagor: Three catches in preseason finale

Reagor recorded three catches on three targets for 33 yards in Saturday's 30-23 preseason loss to the 49ers.

Reagor got a chance for extended run due to four of the Chargers' top receivers sitting out the game. He recorded all of his stats on passes from Trey Lance, highlighted by a 17-yard gain that came primarily after the catch. Reagor is fighting for a roster spot, and he made a solid case for himself with this performance.
