  • Patriots' Kyle Williams: Flashes speed on long TD

Williams brought in two of six targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' 24-21 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday.

Williams started the game while working with Tommy DeVito as his quarterback, but the duo failed to connect on the first two passes that went the fleet-footed wideout's way on the opening possession. They would eventually make up for it in the latter portion of the second quarter, when Williams hauled in a long pass down the right sideline and took it an additional 35 yards for a 69-yard touchdown. Williams' elite speed is unquestioned, but whether he can develop down-to-down consistency and tunnel up a deep wide-receiver depth chart still remains to be seen.

  • Cyrus Allen WR | KC

Chiefs' Cyrus Allen: Three catches in preseason loss

Allen secured three of five targets for seven yards in the Chiefs' 16-15 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday.

The 2026 fifth-round pick has shown up on film in the first two preseason games, as he now has five receptions on 10 targets over that span. Allen has netted only 27 receiving yards in the process, but he's worked exclusively with backup quarterbacks such as Justin Fields and Garrett Nussmeier. Allen saw action into the second half Saturday and may well take the field again for the preseason finale at home against the Seahawks on Friday night.

  • Rome Odunze WR | CHI

Bears' Rome Odunze: Big gain on one catch Saturday

Odunze brought in one of two targets for 18 yards in the Bears' 27-9 preseason loss to the Bengals on Saturday.

Odunze wasted no time making an impact, hauling in an 18-yard pass on the Bears' second play from scrimmage. The third-year wideout was targeted once more without success. Odunze is firmly on track for the highest volume of his still nascent career now that DJ Moore is in Buffalo. Projected No. 2 receiver Luther Burden also remains sidelined with a groin injury and is uncertain for Week 1, so Odunze is almost certainly not seeing the field again until a Week 1 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Sept. 13.

  • Elijah Sarratt WR | BAL

Ravens' Elijah Sarratt: One catch in preseason win

Sarratt caught his lone target for three yards during the Ravens' 13-3 preseason win over the Vikings on Saturday.

Sarratt wasn't able to produce the same way he did in the Ravens' preseason opener against the Eagles, when he caught six passes on seven targets for 66 yards. The rookie fourth-rounder is competing against Devontez Walker and LaJohntay Wester for the WR4 role, but all three of those receivers could operate in elevated roles depending on what happens with Rashod Bateman and his off-field situation. The Ravens wrap up the preseason Friday against the Commanders.

  • Buccaneers' Dennis Houston: Won't return Saturday

Houston has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs due to a groin injury.

It's unclear when Houston picked up the injury, but he will not return to Saturday's exhibition contest. He'll undergo further tests over the next few days, which will determine whether he'll be available for the Buccaneers' preseason finale against the Jaguars on Friday.

  • Giants' Braxton Berrios: Nursing soft-tissue injury

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Berrios did not play in Saturday's 26-3 preseason win over the Dolphins due to a soft-tissue issue, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.

The injury is considered a minor one, so Berrios should be able to practice this week and play in the Giants' preseason finale against the Jets on Friday. The veteran wide receiver signed with the Giants in early June after appearing in four regular-season games for the Texans in 2025. If Berrios makes the Giants' 53-man roster for the regular season, then he is expected to see most of his playing time on special teams as a returner on kickoffs and punts.

  • Bub Means WR | NO

Saints' Bub Means: Picks up hamstring injury Saturday

Means injured his hamstring during Saturday's 34-0 preseason loss to the Rams, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Means went to the blue medical tent during Saturday's game and did not return, finishing with one catch on four targets for five yards. He'll undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but it puts him in jeopardy of missing the Saints' preseason finale against the Cowboys on Friday.

  • Chris Bell WR | MIA

Dolphins' Chris Bell: Nearing return to full practice

Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said Saturday that Bell (knee) is "close" to being cleared to fully participate in practice, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

Bell hasn't played in either of the Dolphins' first two preseason games, but he's been steadily increasing his practice activity since being reinstated from the non-football injury list Monday. He's in the final stages of his recovery from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, a procedure he underwent in December. The rookie third-round pick could have an outside chance of being available for the Dolphins' preseason finale against the Falcons on Friday if he's able to get in a couple of full practices beforehand.

  • CJ Daniels WR | LAR

Rams' CJ Daniels: Paces LAR pass catchers Saturday

Daniels caught eight passes on 13 targets for 68 yards during the Rams' 34-0 preseason win over the Saints on Saturday.

The rookie sixth-rounder saw far more work Saturday than he did in the Rams' preseason opener against the Chiefs. Daniels ended up leading both teams in catches, receiving yards and targets, and he logged receptions of 11, 17 and 11 yards on the Rams' final offensive series of the first half, leading to a 26-yard field goal by Harrison Mevis. Daniels is up to 10 catches on 18 targets for 86 yards through two preseason games, and he has real momentum toward earning a depth spot on the Rams' 53-man roster by the end of training camp. His last opportunity for an in-game audition will take place Thursday in the Rams' preseason finale against the Chargers.

  • Bryce Lance WR | NO

Saints' Bryce Lance: Tallies two catches in preseason debut

Lance caught both of his targets for 16 yards during the Saints' 34-0 preseason loss to the Rams on Saturday.

Lance missed the Saints' preseason opener against the Jaguars due to an undisclosed injury, but he was cleared to play against Los Angeles. Several Saints starters -- including wide receivers Chris Olave, Devaughn Vele and rookie first-rounder Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) -- were idle for Saturday's exhibition contest, so Lance joined Bub Means and Kevin Austin as the starters at wide receiver. Lance didn't get off to a great start with a holding penalty late in the first quarter, but he did haul in a nice 12-yard pass from Zach Wilson on the final play of the frame. Lance worked with the Saints' first-team offense earlier in the week during joint practice with the Cowboys, and the North Dakota State product could be the team's WR3 behind Olave and Vele for the first few games of the regular season, considering Tyson is expected to miss several weeks due to his hamstring injury. The Saints will wrap up the preseason this Friday against the Cowboys in Dallas.
