  • Sydney Brown SAF | ATL

Eagles' Sydney Brown: Expected to take over as starter

Brown is expected to take over as a starting safety for the Eagles following the injury to Andrew Mukuba (ankle) in last Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.

Mukuba is likely to miss at least the remainder of the regular season after suffering a fractured ankle against Dallas. Brown has started just seven of his 36 career regular-season contests during his three-year career, but he's next up alongside Reed Blankenship on the back end of the Philadelphia defense. Brown has logged just 86 defensive snaps through 11 appearances this season.

  • Arthur Maulet CB | DET

    Arthur Maulet: Cut by Detroit

The Lions waived Maulet on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Detroit is finally getting healthy again in the secondary, so Maulet gets the boot from the 53-man roster. The 32-year-old cornerback has appeared in six games for the Lions this season, producing 14 tackles (11 solo) and two pass breakups, including one interception, on 105 defensive snaps.

  • George Odum DB | IND

Colts' George Odum: Signs with Indy

The Colts signed Odum off the practice squad Tuesday.

Odum inked a deal with the Colts' practice squad last week but now lands a spot on the 53-man roster after the team placed Ashton Dulin (hamstring) on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Odum has been a star special-teams player throughout his career and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2020 with the Colts.

  • Ashton Dulin WR | IND

Colts' Ashton Dulin: Sent to IR with hamstring injury

The Colts placed Dulin (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday.

It's unclear when Dulin suffered the injury, but he'll now be required to miss at least the Colts' next four contests. Through 10 games this season, Dulin has logged a 5-106-0 receiving line on 132 offensive snaps while also seeing 161 snaps on special teams. Anthony Gould and Laquon Treadwell are next up on the depth chart behind Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce and slot man Josh Downs.

  • Eagles' Reed Blankenship: Expected to play Week 13

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that he expects Blankenship (thigh) to play Friday against the Bears, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Blankenship was injured in last Sunday's loss to the Cowboys and was walking with a pretty significant limp following his exit, but it sounds like he avoided a major injury. With Andrew Mukuba suffering a fractured ankle in the same game, getting Blankenship back for Week 13 will be huge for the back end of the Philly defense.

  • Jha'Quan Jackson: Cut by New Orleans

The Saints cut Jackson from the practice squad Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Jackson loses his spot on the practice squad to fellow wide receiver Samori Toure, who was signed Tuesday. Jackson appeared in 12 regular-season games for the Titans last season but didn't draw a single target on 46 offensive snaps.

  • Will Harris SAF | WAS

Commanders' Will Harris: Optimism for Week 13

Coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday that he's optimistic Harris (ankle) will be able to play Sunday against the Broncos, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Harris remains on injured reserve but was designated for return 13 days ago, opening his 21-day practice window. Harris has been sidelined since he was injured in Week 3 against the Raiders. Quan Martin, Jeremy Reaves and Darnell Savage have been handling safety duties for the Commanders.

  • Steelers' Joey Porter: Will be limited by hip

Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Porter (hip) will be limited in practice this week, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

Porter was forced from Sunday's loss to the Bears with the injury, but it doesn't sound like it's an overly serious issue for the star cornerback. Darius Slay and James Pierre would likely handle cornerback duties for Pittsburgh if Porter needs to miss any game action.

  • George Pickens WR | DAL

Cowboys' George Pickens: Will practice Tuesday

Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Pickens (knee/calf) will practice Tuesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Schottenheimer said Monday that Pickens has a bruised shin, which is curiously neither a knee nor calf issue, but it sounds like the star wide receiver will be in good enough shape to play Thursday against Kansas City. Pickens hung a 9-146-1 receiving line on Philadelphia last week as he continues to deliver a career-best campaign.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Present at practice Tuesday

Jackson (toe) returned to practice Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson was estimated as a DNP on Monday's practice report, but he doesn't appear to be in serious danger of missing Thursday night's game against the Bengals. The QB is looking to bust a three-game slump -- he's averaged 174 passing yards per game with a 1:2 TD:INT mark over the last three weeks -- in a juicy matchup against Cincinnati's league-worst defense.
