Jayden Higgins WR | HOU
Texans' Jayden Higgins: Team-high six catches in loss
Higgins caught six of 10 targets for 59 yards in the Texans' 28-16 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round Sunday.
The rookie wideout led Houston in catches and receiving yards with Nico Collins (concussion) unavailable, but it was Christian Kirk who caught C.J. Stroud's only TD pass of the day. Higgins put together a respectable rookie season after being a second-round pick out of Iowa State, playing all 17 regular-season games and posting a 41-525-6 line on 68 targets. With Kirk a free agent this offseason, Higgins may have shown enough to dissuade the Texans from bringing in veteran competition for the No. 2 receiver role.

Woody Marks RB | HOU
Texans' Woody Marks: Held in check by Pats
Marks carried the ball 14 times for 17 yards and caught two of three targets for 19 yards during the Texans' 28-16 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Houston couldn't get much of anything going on the ground, and Marks' turnover was one of five by the Texans and eight in total by both teams in cold, wet conditions at Foxborough. Marks went the entire regular season without losing a fumble, so ball security shouldn't be an issue for him in 2026, and the fourth-round pick out of USC had a successful rookie campaign with 911 scrimmage yards and five total TDs in 16 regular-season games. It remains to be seen whether the Texans will look to expand his role next year or bring in a back more adept at running between the tackles to work in tandem with Marks.

C.J. Stroud QB | HOU
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Picked off four times to end season
Stroud completed 20 of 47 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown with four interceptions in the Texans' 28-16 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round Sunday. He added 11 rushing yards on two carries.
The two teams combined for eight turnovers in cold, wet conditions at Foxborough, and Stroud accounted for half of them, including a pick-six by Marcus Jones in the second quarter. It was a disappointing end to a promising year for Houston, but Stroud's seven giveaways in two playoff games will be a big point of discussion during the offseason. The QB ended his third NFL campaign with 3,041 passing yards and a 19:8 TD:INT during 14 regular-season games while completing a career-high 64.5 percent of his passes.

Carlton Davis CB | NE
Patriots' Carlton Davis: Dealing with head injury
Davis (head) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's divisional-round contest against the Texans, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Davis took a blow to the head in the second half, ultimately bringing his day to a premature end. In his absence, Charles Woods will operate in a more significant role in New England's secondary.

Cade Stover TE | HOU
Texans' Cade Stover: Done for day
Stover (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's divisional-round matchup with the Patriots.
Stover suffered a knee injury early in the fourth quarter, and he will now be forced to miss the remainder of the game. With Dalton Schultz (calf) already done for the day, Harrison Bryant will now operate as the team's top tight end against New England.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Bears' Case Keenum: Emergency QB versus Los Angeles
Keenum (coach's decision) is inactive but serving as the Bears' emergency No. 3 quarterback in Sunday's divisional-round contest against the Rams, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports.
Keenum will once again operate as the team's third option at quarterback in the NFC Divisional round. The 37-year-old will only be eligible to enter the game if both starter Caleb Williams and backup Tyson Bagent are forced to exit the contest.
-
Desjuan Johnson DE | LAR
Rams' Desjuan Johnson: Active for divsional round
Johnson (illness) is active for Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the Bears
Johnson missed Friday's practice with an illness, but it appears that it won't hold him back for the Rams' second playoff game. The 26-year-old has played in each of the last six games, including last week's wild-card win over Carolina, and he's tallied 13 tackles with two sacks over that span. Johnson should continue filling a backup role behind starting defensive end Braden Fiske.
-
Stetson Bennett QB | LAR
Rams' Stetson Bennett: Operating as emergency QB
Bennett (coach's decision) is inactive but serving as the Rams' emergency third quarterback in Sunday's divisional-round matchup against Chicago, Stu Jackson of the team's official website reports.
Bennett will operate in his familiar role as the No. 3 QB for Los Angeles as the team looks to advance to the NFC Championship Game. The 28-year-old will only be able to enter the contest if both starter Matthew Stafford and backup Jimmy Garoppolo are sidelined.
-
Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Returns to action Sunday
Stevenson (eye) returned to Sunday's divisional-round game against the Texans, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Stevenson had exited the game due to an eye issue, but he was eventually able to return. He'll return to share backfield work versus Houston with fellow RB TreVeyon Henderson.

Tutu Atwell WR | MIA
Rams' Tutu Atwell: Inactive Sunday
Atwell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Bears, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports.
Atwell will take a seat after failing to record any stats while playing 15 offensive snaps in the team's wild-card win over the Panthers. The wide receiver had recorded just two catches on six targets for 28 yards over the Rams' final four regular-season contests and the first round of the postseason, so his absence won't carry much of an impact versus Chicago.
