It's currently unclear what issue Brooks is dealing with, but he was waived/injured Sunday and subsequently cleared waivers. As such, he's been placed on season-ending IR. Brooks could still play in 2026, though, if he works out an injury settlement with the Titans.

The linebacker was waived/injured by Seattle on Sunday. Smith will be out for the season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.

Kamara suffered a sprained left knee in the Buccaneers' preseason finale against the Jaguars last Friday. The linebacker was promptly waived with an injury designation and cleared waivers. Kamara will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Iton (undisclosed) reverted to New England's injured reserve Monday, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports.

Iton missed all of last season while on IR due to a hip injury, though it's unclear if his current issue is related. The Rutgers product did play in all three of the Patriots' preseason contests, but he was waived/injured Sunday. Since he cleared waivers and reverted to IR, Iton will need to sit out the entire 2026 campaign unless he reaches an injury settlement with New England.

Sam (foot) reverted to the Eagles' injured-reserve list Monday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.

The Eagles waived Sam with an injury designation Sunday after he suffered a foot injury during Friday's preseason finale against the Bengals. The safety cleared waivers and will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury designation.

Miami released Ferrell on Monday.

Ferrell initially made the Dolphins' 53-man roster, but he was one of several players let go Monday to make room for Miami's successful waiver claims. Ferrell is a vested veteran, so he immediately becomes a free agent. The Clemson product has extensive NFL experience and racked up 4.0 sacks over nine regular-season games between the Chargers and 49ers last year, so he could be an attractive option for teams looking for help on the edge.

The Patriots claimed Muasau off waivers Monday.

The Giants waived Muasau on Sunday. The Patriots claimed the 25-year-old to slot into the 53-man roster as one of the primary backups at inside linebacker. Muasau will likely see relief snaps behind Christian Elliss and Robert Spillane throughout the regular season. The Patriots released K.J. Britt in a corresponding move.

Roberts (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to the Vikings' injured-reserve list Monday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.

The linebacker was waived with an injury designation Sunday. Roberts needs to reach an injury settlement with Minnesota to have a chance to play in 2026.
