  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Won't practice Wednesday

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said McLaurin (quadriceps) won't practice Wednesday, Tashan Reed of The Washington Post reports.

Quinn expressed optimism earlier this week about McLaurin's chances of suiting up Week 6 against the Bears on Monday, but the veteran wideout isn't yet ready to return to the practice field. McLaurin has missed two straight contests without practicing at all in that span. It's possible the team is simply taking a cautious approach to McLaurin's recovery, and that he'll have better odds of handling on-field work as Week 6 preparation progresses. On a positive note for Washington, Quinn said Noah Brown (groin/knee) will return to practice Wednesday.

  • Dolphins' Cornell Armstrong: Officially moves to IR

Armstrong (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters earlier Wednesday that Armstrong would be placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Week 5 loss to the Panthers, so this news comes as no surprise. Prior to his injury, the Southern Miss product tallied two total tackles over 63 defensive snaps this season.

  • Joe Flacco QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Flacco: Named starter for Sunday

Coach Zac Taylor revealed Wednesday that Flacco will start Sunday's game against the Packers, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

The Bengals acquired Flacco from the Browns on Tuesday, and Taylor quickly named the veteran QB the starter for the 2-3 team, which has dropped three straight games. With Flacco moving into into the No. 1 signal-caller role, Jake Browning is in line to work in a backup capacity this weekend. Flacco thus represents an option for those in two-QB formats or who are looking for a bye week plug-in ahead of Week 6 action.

  • Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Cleared to face Eagles

Tracy (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation for Thursday's matchup against Philadelphia, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Tracy was estimated as a limited participant at practice Monday and Tuesday, but he's now set to return from his two-game absence and take the field for Thursday Night Football. Rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo has emerged as the Giants' lead back and has tallied at least 90 scrimmage yards in three consecutive contests, but he's also handled a tremendous workload, so Tracy could handle significant touches even if he operates in a clear reserve capacity versus the Eagles. Devin Singletary is also available behind Skattebo and Tracy.

  • Giants' Jermaine Eluemunor: Questionable for Week 6

Eluemunor (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Eluemunor upgraded from a DNP at Tuesday's practice to a limited session Wednesday, suggesting he's trending in the right direction ahead of Thursday night. However, if the 30-year-old offensive lineman is unable to suit up for Week 6, Marcus Mbow is likely to start at right tackle.

  • Swayze Bozeman LB | CIN

Giants' Swayze Bozeman: Won't play in Week 6

Bozeman (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Bozeman sustained an ankle injury in the Giants' Week 5 loss to the Saints, so it's no surprise he's been ruled out ahead of Thursday night. The Southern Miss product has primarily contributed on special teams this season, recording three total tackles across four games. His next opportunity to suit up will come against the Broncos in Week 7.

  • Giants' Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles: Missing more time

Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

The 28-year-old out of Arizona is now in line to miss his second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury likely sustained in practice. With Flannigan-Fowles, Swayze Bozeman (ankle), Micah McFadden (foot) and Chris Board (chest) all ruled out for Week 6, the Giants' inside-linebacker corps consists of just Bobby Okereke and Darius Muasau.

  • Darius Slayton WR | IND

Giants' Darius Slayton: Officially out for TNF

Slayton (hamstring) is ruled out for Thursday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Slayton will miss Thursday's divisional matchup due to a hamstring injury sustained during Sunday's loss to the Saints. His next opportunity to take the field will come Sunday, Oct. 19 on the road against Denver in Week 7. With Slayton unavailable Thursday, Lil'Jordan Humphrey is expected to be elevated from the practice squad.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Won't practice Wednesday

Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Murray (foot) will not practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Gannon said "we'll see" regarding Murray's status for Week 6, echoing his comments from Monday. The starting quarterback missed just three snaps during the third quarter of Arizona's 22-21 loss to the Titans in Week 5 due to the injury, but he now appears up-in-the-air for Sunday's road matchup against the Colts. Murray will have two more opportunities to practice before the Cardinals have to assign him an injury designation for Sunday, but if he can't go, Jacoby Brissett will be in line to draw a start at Indianapolis.

  • Jalen Coker WR | CAR

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Practice window opens

The Panthers are designating Coker (quadriceps) to return to practice from IR on Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

The transaction opens a 21-day window wherein Coker can be evaluated at practice without counting against the 53-man roster. Carolina can activate him at any point during that time, including getting him back on the field as early as Sunday versus the Cowboys. He's recovering from a quad injury suffered Aug. 28.
