Johnson is dealing with an arm injury, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Johnson suffered the injury during Thursday's practice session, forcing him to leave early. While the severity of the injury is currently unknown, Jaylon Jones and Malik Muhammad could be in line for increased playing time should Johnson be forced to miss time during the regular season.

Schwesinger (undisclosed) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports.

Schwesinger had not practiced with the team yet in August. The Defensive Rookie of the Year's return is a huge boon for the Browns' defense as the team heads into the Week 1 contest with the Jaguars. Schwesinger is the defensive shot caller for Cleveland, so him reclaiming his first-team reps from Nathaniel Watson should kick the Browns' defense into another gear.

The Ravens waived Longerbeam on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Longerbeam was drafted in the sixth round last year but ended up missing the entirety of his rookie season due to a knee injury suffered in the preseason. The 25-year-old was not impressive enough this offseason to earn a roster spot but could land on the team's practice squad should he go unclaimed on waivers.

The Eagles waived Wilson on Saturday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.

Wilson signed with the Eagles in early June as a depth addition to the team's defensive line. The undrafted free agent out of East Carolina was unable to break through the significant depth the team already has and will now be subject to waivers through Monday. If the 25-year-old remains unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Panthers released Chisena (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Chisena had reverted to injured reserve late last month after picking up an injury in practice, but his time in Carolina has now come to an end. The 29-year-old will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.

Kamara suffered a knee injury during Friday's preseason finale against the Jaguars. Once the MRI comes back, the team will likely make a decision on whether or not Kamara will have a shot to return this season, or if he will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Taylor had just signed with the team earlier this month but is now headed to waivers. The 23-year-old could be a candidate to land on Carolina's practice squad should he go unclaimed on waivers.

If Hayes goes unclaimed, he will revert to the Panthers' injured reserve list. If the 26-year-old does revert to IR, he will remain there for the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Okereke is signing a contract with the Panthers, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

Okereke spent the past three seasons with the Giants and is coming off a campaign in which he racked up 143 tackles (78 solo). If fellow linebacker Devin Lloyd (knee) cannot play in Week 1 against the Bears, Okereke could step into a starting linebacker spot, but he will bolster Carolina's defense one way or another.
