The Panthers waived/injured Hayes (undisclosed) on Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Hayes did not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Texans, likely due to injury. The offensive tackle will now be subject to waivers through Monday. If Hayes goes unclaimed, he will revert to the Panthers' injured reserve list. If the 26-year-old does revert to IR, he will remain there for the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Okereke is signing a contract with the Panthers, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

Okereke spent the past three seasons with the Giants and is coming off a campaign in which he racked up 143 tackles (78 solo). If fellow linebacker Devin Lloyd (knee) cannot play in Week 1 against the Bears, Okereke could step into a starting linebacker spot, but he will bolster Carolina's defense one way or another.

The Eagles waived Steele on Saturday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

Steele signed a future deal with the Eagles in January. The running back played in all three preseason games for the team, logging 21 rush attempts for 59 yards as well as 14 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The 23-year-old may not have made the 53-man roster, but if he clears Monday's waiver period without being claimed, there is a strong chance he will end up back with the Eagles on the practice squad.

The Patriots waived Luketa on Saturday, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports.

Luketa signed with the Patriots in March. The linebacker spent three years with the Cardinals, playing in 31 regular-season games between 2022 and 2024 before spending much of the 2025 season with the Rams' practice squad. Luketa will now be placed on waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 27-year-old remains unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any organization's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Cardinals traded Kiner to the Patriots on Saturday in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Given that the Patriots exchanged draft capital for him, Kiner could now slot in as the No. 3 running back behind starters Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson (ankle). Henderson is expected to be available for the Patriots' Week 1 matchup with the Seahawks, but if he does happen to miss time Kiner could be the next man up. The 24-year-old played in four career games for the Cardinals, logging 12 rush attempts for 58 yards.

The Eagles waived Toure on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network reports.

Toure fought to make the Eagles' 53-man roster, but with names such as DeVonta Smith, rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore dominating the depth chart, the 28-year-old Toure only ever had a slim chance. He will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the wide receiver goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Buccaneers waived Potter on Saturday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Potter signed with the Buccaneers in June to contend with starting kicker Chase McLaughlin. The 26-year-old Potter went 4-for-4 on kicks throughout the 2026 preseason, but there was never truly a chance for the kicker to usurp McLaughlin. Potter will be subject to waivers through Monday, and if he clears he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Kacmarek (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week as of Saturday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Kacmarek did not play in Friday night's preseason finale against the Falcons. The rookie third-rounder played in the first two preseason games for the Dolphins, catching his sole target for three yards. The tight end is set to be the No. 2 option behind Greg Dulcich once the former regains his health.

Mahomes (knee) is on track to start Week 1 against the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Mahomes said a week ago he was "extremely confident" he would be ready for Kansas City's season opener, and the latest report keeps him on track to do so. It's unclear how close he is to 100 percent, but it's growing more and more likely that the torn left ACL he sustained last December will not cost him any action during the 2026 campaign.

The Panthers waived Prieskorn on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Prieskorn signed with the Panthers in late July before the commencement of training camp. The second-year tight end out of Ole Miss has yet to play in an NFL regular-season game. Prieskorn will now be subject to waivers through Monday. If the 26-year-old goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.
